Sexist staff! They were having fun among themselves and laughing at customers instead of offering help. What's shocking, though, is that they prey on women in the store! I went to buy something and tried to get help, but the male staff walked past me, ignoring and insulting me for no reason other than my gender.

Bought a fridge, came busted in 2 places, after 3 hours of talking on the phone and another 10 phone calls during a week time, the only option they gave was to come take it back, leave me without any functional fridge in the house with a small baby until they deliver another. Probably wanted to try to fix this one and return it to me. I talked to 9 people and nobody could arrange to deliver a new one in the same day they would pick the busted one. Seems like only apes work there.

Mediocre services with no explanation. Bought some ear bud with noise cancelation and the noise cancelation wasn’t working properly.
Took them 3 weeks to respond and they sent them back without any proper solving.
I will never buy anything from them.

Order placed ONLINE from my Altex account on 06.01.2026, paid in full by card.
By 20.01.2026, nothing had been delivered, no updates, no clear explanation – which is why I requested a refund.

The ridiculous part:
– zero updates in the account
– I had to call almost daily for information
– strictly “robotic” responses, no solutions
– standard, impersonal emails, no accountability
– no one provides a clear timeframe, no one seems responsible

This is clear proof that a company’s popularity does not automatically increase the quality of its services, and unfortunately, not the human quality of customer interaction either.

It’s not just about the money, but also the complete lack of respect for the customer.
After this experience, I am deleting my account and will never order from Altex again.

They probably won’t go bankrupt.
But I spare myself the stress, wasted time, and ridiculous situations.

I was their client for many years, but my last experiece with them was the worst. I bought a resealed coffee machine that came with a problem (even if they assure u on their website that these products are verified). I sent it to their service and they send it back after 2 weeks but they did nothing, the problem was still there. After that it took them 2 months to finally fix it but my coffee machine came back dirty and scratched. We are talking about an expensive delonghi coffee machine (3600 lei). They should be ashamed.

Altex, a store where you get ripped off and lied to! It's been three weeks since I refused the order from the carrier (because you, the customer, are not allowed to cancel it within the first minute of placing it), and the Altex phone operator told me that the cancellation can ONLY be done by refusing delivery from the courier, but even now I have not received a refund for the shipping costs, only the value of the item! For two weeks I have been lied to every day on the phone that my money has been refunded, yet Altex refuses to directly confront my bank statement! Shame on you, scammers!

Au trecut 3 săptămâni de când am refuzat comanda la curier (căci nu-ți este permis ție, clientule, să o anulezi în primul minut de la plasarea acesteia) iar operatorul Altex mi-a zis că anularea se poate face DOAR prin refuzul primirii de la curier, însă nici până în acest moment nu am primit rambursarea cheltuielilor de transport, ci numai contravaloarea articolului! De 2 săptămâni sunt mințit zi de zi la telefon că banii mi s-au înapoiat, cu toate acestea Altex refuză confruntarea directă a extrasului meu de cont! Rusine, escrocilor!

On December 16, 2024, I bought a refurbished cordless vacuum cleaner. I specifically checked that it has a 24-month warranty, and it does. About 3 months ago it broke down, but it does not appear on the service list, and despite writing multiple times, they do not respond, there is no answer. I have purchased from them for more than 30,000 lei so far. I wrote a review, but it was not published. I cannot believe that they are so unprofessional with a vacuum cleaner costing 185 lei.

I ordered a Bosch vacuum cleaner valued at approximately 2,400 RON. I received a resealed (open-box) product instead of a new one. I called the call center for a week, explaining the issue and requesting the replacement of the resealed vacuum cleaner with a new one, as I had placed the order and paid the full price, not a reduced one as is the case for resealed products. I have received no response, neither by email nor by phone. My request for product replacement has been completely ignored, and the issue remains unresolved.

do not buy anything at all from the Altex store, especially the Altex store in Pipera, where the services are deplorable. The service in case something breaks does not work within normal parameters. I told them that I would file a complaint with the ANPC and they treated me with a lack of professionalism and irresponsibility and they did not bother at all. After I took a defective product to the service center, they returned it to me after two weeks, still defective, and when I asked them to change my product, they refused.

I bought a fridge in altex on 5th August, as the payment was done by bank transfer the confirmation came on the 6th. On the 6th there was no more fridge in stock. On the 7th I called to check the delivery and that is when they tell me was not in stock! Not even a single communication I received! Now they are offering smaller or lower quality fridge to replace the one I paid! No respect for the client!

Buyed the PlayStation 4 controller from here didn't even last a month.

Was surprised to see that heavy appliances are carried out to upstairs flats by hand.

Secondly, I purchased two items (fridge freezer and washing machine), I live 5 mins away from the store but only one was delivered next day. Still waiting for the second one. No time slots for deliveries, one must simply stay indoors and wait.

I placed an order on June 22, 2025 for a brand-new, sealed Motorola Edge 40 Neo 5G (Black Beauty) at Altex.ro, paying 1,014.80 RON with delivery via Cargus. On June 24, the courier delivered a bubble-wrapped package—inside, the original Motorola box was torn and resealed with tape. I had clearly ordered a sealed phone, not a display or refurbished model.

After emailing photos, I spent hours on the phone with Altex’s call center. Despite clear evidence, staff tried to dismiss the issue, falsely claiming I’d ordered a “display unit.” Almost reluctantly, they admitted the phone was indeed displayed in-store, resealed without my consent, and shipped to me under false pretenses. They finally offered a refund—but insisted I pick it up as cash in-store, even though I paid online with a card.

To avoid further frustration, I purchased the same phone from another retailer (Vexio) that evening for 1,466.99 RON and received it sealed and intact the very next day. Meanwhile, on June 25, the same Cargus courier refused to collect the return package, claiming it wasn’t “properly packed,” despite it being in the exact same bubble wrap it was delivered in.

Bottom line:

- Altex falsely sells opened display models as “new,” mishandles customer complaints, and shows utter disregard for consumer rights.

- Cargus continues to confirm its terrible reputation by botching both deliveries and returns.

I strongly advise others to avoid Altex and Cargus—save your money, time, and sanity by choosing more reliable retailers and couriers.
