ALX Africa was an amazing experience. I learnt a lot and experienced a community that I could rely on. I’ll advise you to take that step.

ALX Africa has been a gamechanger for me. The notes are detailed and simple to understand. I have built on my Tech Skills and Soft Skills .I like it here, the real world projects keeps me motivated everyday.

The course structure is great. My problem is the number of frustrating days the support team takes to fix one minor technical issue. I made advance payment for the course ($30) which should take about six months before the system require any further payment. In just after a month, I was unable to access the system because it required me to make payment before I could access my courses. The first issue took 4 days to get resolved. Then it happened again just after 2 weeks. This time it took longer. Then it happened again. It's wasn't a nice experience for me the third time. This same familiar issue took 9 days to get resolved. I hated the incompetence on the side of the technical support team. This actions killed my interest to study. The reason is I didn't like being interrupted when studying. The very thing I tried avoiding became the problem. I don't know when this problem is going to arise again, because from what I see, it isn't something they can fix.

I was enjoying ALX until these experiences collapsed my joy of learning.

Before I joined ALX in 2024, I was just a young student trying to find a way to equip myself with adequate skills for the industry. In my search for the right place, I came across ALX. From the very first day of my lesson (ALX AiCE), I enjoyed every bit of time I have spent with the organisation. They made me know myself better. They pushed me beyond my limits and gave me the confidence to stand before any panel to defend my skills. Talking about ALX and not talking about their dedication will be inaccurate. ALX knows how to care for their students. They don't just train and allow you to go on your own. They stay throughout your professional journey. Now I have completed three courses and am about to complete the fourth one. I'll be completing my Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering next year, and by the time I am done completing, I can boast of skills in addition to the ones I have gained in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. ALX, we do hard things.

If someone had asked me in 2024 whether ALX was worth it, I honestly wouldn't have known what to say because I was just getting started myself. Today, after completing multiple programs with ALX, my answer would be a definite yes.

My ALX journey began with the Virtual Assistant program. It was a free course, and I saw it as an opportunity to learn something new and challenge myself. What I expected to be a simple learning experience turned out to be the beginning of a much bigger transformation.

The Virtual Assistant program was an eye-opener. Beyond the skills I gained, it taught me discipline, professionalism, communication, and the value of continuous learning. More importantly, it gave me the confidence to believe I could do more.

That confidence led me to enroll in ALX's Data Science learning path in 2025. I started with Professional Foundations and then progressed through Data Analytics, Python Programming, Machine Learning, and Data Science. The journey was challenging at times, but every challenge came with an opportunity to grow.

When I joined, I had only limited knowledge of the field. Today, I can analyze data, write Python programs, build data-driven solutions, and apply machine learning concepts to real-world problems. The transformation did not happen overnight, but ALX provided the structure, resources, and environment that made it possible.

What I appreciate most about ALX is its focus on practical skills. The programs pushed me beyond theory and encouraged me to solve problems, think critically, and continuously improve myself. I learned not just technical skills, but also resilience, consistency, and a growth mindset.

Looking back, I am proud of how far I have come. From starting as a Virtual Assistant learner to completing the Data Science track, ALX has played a significant role in my personal and professional growth.

Joined ALX in October 2025, after I was fired by my boss. At the time I'd say I lacked any relevant tech skills.

Following my passion in sales, I decided to pursue the "Graphic Design" course.

9 Months later, I'm conversant with Google Workspace, making simple websites, organizing and designing marketing campaigns.

Besides that, within the programme I met smart like-minded individuals obsessed with skill maxing and 'self growth' which has elevated my social network.

Their courses are challenging and comprehensive, but genuinely life-changing!

ALX is worth the time, and it stretches my brain to do the hard things. It took me back to memory lane when I saw Flowcharts, algorithms, and pseudocode under Data AI and Literacy Foundations, because those topics were taught when I was in secondary school many years back, but it was the simple part we were taught, and now seeing it in ALX made me smile because right now, I have no other choice but to take it seriously.
