BUYER BEWARE

BUYER BEWARE – SCAM – AMAZON.CA IS A FRAUD

Canadians, DO NOT TRUST AMAZON.CA – this platform has become a complete scam operation.

Every order I placed was PAID IN FULL, and after payment, they demanded more money — "revised payment" Then it switched to " delivering in a few days ( day /date) THEN SWITCHES AGAIN claiming "issues with delivery," then marking the item as "undeliverable" or "cancelled" without ever shipping it. or " running late" Weeks have gone by with no packageS, no refund, and no accountability. Deflection by customer service bots,or scammers in India.
MY MONEY IS GONE - NO PACKAGES - NO REFUND

I rely on these orders for my business and now I’m facing financial losses because of this fraudulent behaviour.

To make it worse, when I left an honest review on the seller’s page warning others that it was a scam, Amazon stepped in and LIED, claiming the item was "delivered." It was NEVER delivered. NO refund, NO product — and they keep trying to take more money from my account.

I guess this is how Jeff Bezos paid for that extravagant wedding — by ripping off loyal customers.

It’s been over a month, still not resolved. Customer support has been useless. ZERO accountability.

They like to pass the buck and blame the delivery company. Intelecom/DragonFly - its not them - DragonFly are Great!
After many confirmations with their management and tracking -- they have not received any packages even though Amazon says its been shipped... MORE LIES FROM AMAZON

AMAZON IS A COMPLETE JOKE OF A SCAM
It is time amazon gets slapped with a class action law suit.

👉 Canadians, BOYCOTT AMAZON.CA before they do the same to you.
👉 Don't trust Amazon – not with your money, not with your business, and definitely not with the truth.

Amazon no longer meets their promised delivery times

Amazon used to reliably meet the delivery times that are displayed in the listings for the products that ship from their warehouses as evidenced by the “fulfilled by Amazon” statement in the listings. This is no longer the case. In all the examples that I will identify in this review the listings showed Next Day delivery and Amazon used to reliably meet these delivery promises. The three examples that I will cite have all occurred in the past 10 days.
1) I ordered some razor blades that promised next day delivery. It was 10 days before their tracking information stated that the item had shipped.
2) I ordered a cable to attach an external to my computer and again the listing promised next day delivery. Once two days had passed since the promised delivery date I checked the tracking on Amazon. There was a statement on my tracking information that there has been a “problem” with my delivery. No other information was provided. When I checked the next day the tracking information stated that my package had been shipped from a warehouse in BC to what I assume is a warehouse in New Brunswick. I live in BC only an hour drive from the “Fulfilment Centre” in Langley. I checked again the next day and there was a statement identifying my order as “undeliverable”. A further statement said that my credit card will be refunded “within the next 14 days”. At no time during this whole process did I receive an email from Amazon that there has been a problem with my order. Unacceptable!
3) I then ordered another computer cable from Amazon, again the listing stated “fulfilled by Amazon” and promised delivery as “tomorrow”. Well “tomorrow” was two days ago and still no delivery. Today I checked the tracking information and it identified that the package has been “shipped”. I have no idea when it might actually arrive.

When reviewing the first product identified above on the Amazon website, I gave a positive review of the product and identified that it took Amazon over a week to ship the product despite promising next day delivery.
I also left a review for the undelivered computer cable that identified the issues that I had with non-delivery of the product. My wording was polite and respectful stating only the facts. The next day I received an email from Amazon that the reviews will not be posted because they both “violate community standards”. Neither email identified what “community standard” I had violated. Instead both emails contained a link to what it identified as a “community standards” page. When I opened the link it opened onto a webpage that was essentially blank except for the Amazon logo and the words “Community Standards” at the top of the page. The same result happened with the links in both emails. I then searched community standards on the Amazon website and found a webpage that offered vague explanations about why a review might be denied. Not a single one of the reasons given matched anything that was in either of my reviews. I can only assume that they were refused because they contained statements that were critical of Amazon’s fulfilment promises and practices.

Shame on you Amazon!! Clearly you only accept product reviews that aren’t critical of anything that Amazon itself might improve.

Price fluctuations OUTRAGIUOS

Most frustrating site to shop I have ever experienced. You find something you're interested in, think about it for a while, look for a better deal, can't locate one, then come back and the price was hiked over 100%. Found items cheaper in Mom & Pop stores.
Looked at the excuse for these fluctuations in pricing, and to honest, it's BS.
I do admit thattheir return policies are excellent, but too much time wasted looking for great deals when there are none

This company is going downhill FAST!

This company is going downhill FAST!
There used to be a time when you could actually count on them for doing the right thing.
Maybe Ive been lucky so far...but these last 5-7 purchases have been nothing but chaos! My luck has officially run out!
Im ALWAYS at home to get my packages, cuz of all the recent thefts in the building.
So, they gave me a time 4:15-7:15pm (later on after half the day was done) and I rearranged my whole day just to accommodate them.
Phone on, in living room waiting. It should'nt be a problem since JUST the day before got 2 packages without any issues.
Get a notice from them at 5:15pm saying "Package Undeliverable"!!!
How is this even possible???
The drivers: 1. have their own key to enter 2. my delivery instructions are very clear to CALL ME if there's a problem 3. last resort, to buzz the landlord to get in

What exactly did this driver do? Stand in front of the door and said:
"Abra Cadabra"? He clearly didnt have his key. He clearly cant read my specific delivery instructions. And he clearly has no problem solving skills. Even though its NOT rocket science to buzz the landlord.
Now I have to, AGAIN, rearrange my whole day to accommodate this idiot/lazy driver??? Cuz once again I didnt get a time frame...I got "tomorrow".
I was willing to wait from 4:15-7:15pm when I finally got that message a few hrs before. Gave me enough time to get to the pharmacy by 10pm to p/u my VERY vital medications for ALL my serious health issues.
Needless to say, I finally got my meds today, Sunday instead of Friday.
Does Amazon know/care that some of us are NOT able bodied with access to a car???
Why bother filling in the "delivery instructions" when no one is reading them???

If there was a minus star I give that.

If there was a minus star I give that.

My last order was packaged with Briess DME an a couple of other items. The Amazon shipping department did not pack the items correctly and the DME bag broke ruining everything in the box. Now Amazon says it can't fix a problem that THEY CREATED!!!

So much for being an Amazon Prime member. The only thing that's prime is being ripped off!

Worst. Customer. Service. Ever.

Worst. Customer. Service. Ever. (amazon.ca)

Chat agents just cut and paste responses. Often not relevant ones.

Then they say "wait 2 minutes" and the chat times out and you get a new agent, who clearly does not bother to read the previous chat and starts the whole process over again.... I went through 8 agents in one chat because of this, and still no help at all.

This is clearly a new thing as the customer service a few years ago was amazingly good. Now? Total s#it.

It is also very apparent that this is an intentional strategy to frustrate customers into giving up. It worked, but not the way I think they expected. I will NEVER use Amazon again as if there is a problem, you are screwed and they WILL NOT HELP. Not worth the risk.

Aliexpress is slower (but not much) for shipping and their customer service is top notch (like Amazon once was). So I will be using them (already was for some things) instead of Amazon.

Amazon was great. Now it sucks like a black hole.

Tip: use Amazon to find what you want, then go to Aliexpress and search for it there. Likely cheaper and their customer service is great. But it might take a week or two to get stuff.

🚫 Amazon forced me to pay $100+HST to get a police report before even considering a refund for a missing MacBook.

My package was marked as “delivered” but I never received it. I followed Amazon’s instructions and filed a report with York Regional Police (GO# 2025-808654). However, the police require a $100 fee to access the PDF version of the report — and Amazon refused to accept anything else or offer alternatives.

I explained that I work full-time (8 AM to 8 PM), making it impossible for me to call the police during their hours. Amazon still denied me a refund, provided no compensation, and placed the full burden of investigation costs on me — even though I’m the victim.

This is extremely unfair and unacceptable customer service, especially for such a large and trusted company. I’ve shopped with Amazon for years — but this experience has destroyed my confidence in their ability to protect buyers.

Do better, Amazon.

📢 Trustpilot Review

📢 Trustpilot Review — Public, Punchy, and Unforgiving

Title: Amazon.ca Locked Me Out and Treated Me Like a Threat

Amazon.ca made me jump through digital flaming hoops just to access my own account. Their recovery system flagged me for “suspicious activity” simply for using a different browser — despite being on the same home desktop I've used for years.

After verifying everything short of my blood type, I was still locked out unless I sent sensitive documents like government ID. That’s where I drew the line. I just can't do that because if they get hacked, my ID will be everywhere and that's private.

I tried to recover my old phone number. I tried to be reasonable. They gave me bureaucracy and melodrama. I gave them my loyalty. I spent literally thousands of dollars throughout the years.

I used to give them top marks, now never again. Here's how they play people, all is well and find and then they decide to do this stupid and pointless over-authentication process, and they make it impossible to get into your own account. They would do this every 2 or 3 months. I just got sick of it and told them in no uncertain terms that they are not the only game in town.

Usually, I get my account back within an hour or so. This time it's been since around July 15th, 2025.

If you value your time, privacy, and sanity, skip Amazon.ca. They’re a cautionary tale wrapped in a shopping cart. If they try to bill me for my Prime membership, which they will probably try, then there will be real trouble. That should be illegal.

Worst experience ever- Never buying high value items

Worst experience ever. I was at home when they delivered the package and I was supposed to receive 8 items including big cold pressed juice and keyboard. I took the box in a minute when it was delivered. It was a small box and when opened, 3 high value items were missing.

Called customer service and they were of no help. They ask me to file a police complaint and told me somebody took it. I was at home and received the delivery. Also, they can see clearly and 8 items can’t fit in this small box.

Never buying from Amazon and cancelling my membership 👎🏻

They use "AI" (a misnomer) for customer…

They use "AI" (a misnomer) for customer service and it is a total waste of time. The "AI" leads you in loops where you end up back where you started with nothing resolved. Shipments don't move in the system for a week at a time. USPS never receives the item. Amazon is broken. They are as arrogant as the US auto makers were in the 1970s and 80s when they got destroyed by Toyota etc.. Companies that actually listened to the "voice of the customer."

Amazon AI sucks, they keep closing your account whenever you touch the giftcards and confiscate your funds

Amazon closed my account while I had active return requests for products that arrived with missing parts. They issued return labels but later refused to accept the return due to the account closure.

I submitted my ID multiple times for verification, but they rejected it without a clear reason. Now Amazon is refusing to refund me and is telling me to go through my bank for a chargeback, which is unfair and makes things unnecessarily difficult.

I am requesting a full refund for the returned items and a proper resolution without needing to dispute the charge through my bank.

Refused Refund Unless I Filed a Police Report

I’m extremely disappointed with Amazon. I ordered 4 bedsheets (3 queen, 1 twin), and they never arrived. When I reported it, instead of taking responsibility, they refused to refund me unless I filed a police report — over missing bedsheets. I should not be forced to go to the police for a delivery issue that is not my fault. This is unacceptable and not how customers should be treated.
AmazonHelp I’m shocked. Amazon refused to refund me for missing items (4 bedsheets) unless I filed a police report. That’s not how you treat loyal customers. Please fix this order #701-5891093-1529062

THINK BEFORE ORDERING BIG TICKET ITEMS…

THINK BEFORE ORDERING BIG TICKET ITEMS or other items from AMAZON CANADA.

Amazon has changed its refund and return policies.
1. Once an item is placed, you cannot cancel immediately after and before shipment.
2. Amazon has contracted with Purolator and other couriers to hold the item for 21-days or unless the pallet or amazon box is full. Meaning the refund will be issued after 4-weeks.
3. While amazon suggests not to accept delivery of an item, the courier company do not agree. They even tell the customer they will leave now and come at a later time and leave it at your door.
4. Amazon has made return and cancellation extremely difficult for customers.
5. Amazon will reject feedback of fraudulent sellers. One seller selling refurbished desktop non-compliant with windows-11 claiming compliant with windows-11. Returned the desktop, but refund has not been issued and the feedback exposing the fraudulent seller was not allowed. Amazon customer service indicated that it is Amazon policy to protect its sellers.
While exploring prices of a laser printer, I found that

Worst customer service ever

I ordered a dash cam for my son's birthday; amazon.ca sent a used, returned item, including a month's worth of video from the previous owner on the sd card!!! I was mortified when my son asked if I had ordered a used one. Contacted customer service, and they refused to believe me. Sent it back, now they say they need to inspect it. Its been almost a month and i have not received a refund or an apology.
