Lost in space...

On Sept. 16 I order a pair of CUSHIONAIRE Men's Lane Cork footbed Sandal through Amazon.ca filled by Next Step Group Inc 551 Madison Avenue New York.

Time passes, and I get a notice the order has shipped.

Time continues to pass, then after several weeks a notice appears on my Amazon account: "Undeliverable"

Now what to do? I try to contact Amazon about this issue, and I discover, it is not possible. The undeliverable remark on my account apparently couldn't push its way through the smoke, but I've paid for an item I didn't get.

What do I do now?
I file a return claim to send back something I never received. The smoke from Canadian wildfires over New York must have been intense, as it was in Mississauga, Amazon's Canadian cohort.

So now I request a return authorization that is approved, and I print off the return label, tape it on an envelope and send a picture of the "returned" sandals along with a caustic letter lauding their conflict resolution procedure, or lack thereof.

On October 23, more than a month after ordering, I receive the following message: "Your return is complete. Your refund has been issued." I guess a picture of the sandals I never received was sufficient to fulfill Amazon's return policy. I still haven't come up with a rational explanation about why I was returning the product, as Amazon required.

poor return policy

i returned an item and and now was told it will take up to 30 days to refund so i wall lose 2% interest from my credit card on the item amount of 145.00

Scamming THIEVES

When u cancel your item(s) before they are shipped they are suppose to Not charge u. Today I called for my same day shipping and I still hadn't gotten a shipped notification for the item by 3:30pm and so this was mu last straw with them. I called to cancel the order AND my account and the girl says OK. I get 2 notifications 1 that they cancelled the account and the second they shipped the package. Literally right after I got off the phone. Despite me asking to cancel it. Not ONLY that the package I was suppose to get same day shipping is now set to come for tomorrow. So they pressed ship right away to get the last few dollars out of me and set it to be delivered for a day I won't be available and won't be all week now. Talking 2 "supervisor" said there was nothing he could do and I told him angrily 3 times the policy wasn't shipped and according to their policy u can cancel it, also the package is guaranteed for 1 day shipping since it said it was processed and yet they now have it set for the next day. Absolutely scammers. And thieves. Never again. Costco is cheaper for the things I need anyways without having to wait all day 8 am-10pm or worse for 2 or 3 days 8 am-10pm for your parcels that are guaranteed but never come on time. Also the "supervisor" sends me an email the package will be returned to them. Then they have to Inspect it and only THEN Give me a refund. So it could get damaged in the truck, me not even seeing the package and then once processed could take 5-7 (3-5 for bank and around an extra 2 for them to process it themselves) business days to get the money back. WHY WOULD A LEGITIMATE COMPANY TAKE THE MONEY IF I ASKED TO CANCEL THE PRODUCT?! Oh right. They did that to get a few measly bucks. Jokes on then if they send a driver out 1-3 days they waste their delivery guys gas coming to a apartment that is going to get sent back.

AMAZON CUSTOMER SERVICE IS USELESS

I had 2 accounts that I wanted to merge but Amazon couldn't do it. Then I wanted to close out one account that had an old email which Telus no longer support but couldn't do that. It is amazing how little Amazon Customer Service can do as their policies are horrible and they provide little to no customer. Today I ordered the right item but wrong colour but customer service couldn't change the colour. How useless!!

Amazon steals money from you

I signed up for a free subscription from the movie service DZN. I proceeded to cancel the free subscription and Amazon automatically signed me up for a year and charged me. I had to call them to get a refund and they did refund me but that shouldn’t have happened. Their system is known to be rigged to pull sneaky moves such as that according to journalist articles I’ve read pertaining to that issue. Also, I ordered some Carhart pants from Amazon for a family member, and they didn’t fit the said family member. So I returned the pants and got a bigger size. They claimed I didn’t return the pants, when I in fact did and charged me 84 dollars despite the fact that I did return the item. Again, I had to call them and they said they would refund me after charging me, but more than a week after they told me they would refund me I still haven’t seen the 84 dollars. I would recommend shopping with a company you trust because Amazon can’t be trusted. I also ordered a play station two that was advertised as being a real ps2 and they sent me this counterfeit version of a ps2 that was not a real ps2 system. Amazon is a manipulative company. They make billions of dollars and yet still feel the need to try and rip people off. Stay away from Amazon people.

Poor (Indian) customer service

Poor (Indian) customer service. They cannot make a refund 150$ to me because of their mistakes (misinformation from consultants). I believe the cost of my trust was 150$ and I lost it. I will NEVER buy anything from amazon again.

Amazon.ca absolutely terrible service

Amazon.ca has shown Absolutely terrible service. Sharon H promised a refund, (after spending 30 minutes on the phone with her to sort out a damaged and incorrectly labelled product). She could also see the many, many emails that I had sent to the sender and the delivery agents, all without replies. An erroneous email from the sender arrived, necessitating a second call to Amazon.ca. The representative, Dash, said that Sharon H did not put through the refund as she had told me!!! He stated that I need to speak to a supervisor and I was put on hold for over 20 minutes, again and again ... Then being told by Dash that there is no supervisor to call me until 3 am. Dash would not help me further. He was going to disconnect the call. When asked, he wouldn't disclose his location, saying that he was on an island near the ocean by India! Dash was not at all helpful or considerate that Sharon H had promised me the refund, even confirming it with a follow up email message. Finally, I reached Guru, the supervisor, who said I would definitely be  getting the full refund. I asked him to email me the details. We got disconnected... he did not call me back! A very, very frustrating experience with Amazon and definitely not consumer friendly.

Do better Amazon

Amazon was great while Canada Post and Purolator were doing deliveries, but now that Amazon is doing their own deliveries, I am not receiving many of my deliveries on time, some not at all. The excuses range from ‘unable to find address’ ‘update delivery directions’ or just ‘undeliverable’. If it says ‘will try again’ I will likely end up cancelling because it never arrives. Do better Amazon.

Indian support staff is impossible to…

Indian support staff is impossible to understand. Even after asking for the manager, still impossible to understand. Couldn't login to my account as the verification code wasn't going to my phone. Wasted 30 minutes trying to resolve the issue. Didn't resolve. Will be ordering from other online marketplaces.

Wish they used Canada Post.

This is not so much to do with Amazon as it is with their deliveries. I am in the Vancouver B.C. area and would like to say that the way in which your orders are delivered is disgusting. Throw it on the porch, take a picture, and leave. No attempt to hide it. No attempt to keep it dry. Can't even put behind storm door. No knock. No ringing the doorbell. How pathetic. Now my latest order was, at one point, a 20 to 30 minute drive away was shipped to Vancouver Island which is a long drive and a 1&1/2 hr ferry ride away. Stellar service.

Word support experience.

Paid for 2-day shipping to get my suitcase delivered before my flight. At 5pm I get a text to say they couldn't find the address (it was a hotel, easy to find on any search engine or satnav). I needed my suitcase, so I spent hours contacting support via chat and phone. I spent over $150 on calls to get nowhere. They said the address was wrong, I wanted to clarify, they said they said they would try again. Why would you try again the wrong address? Oh, because they never tried and just ran out of time. Such as waste of money. Won't even refund my shipping costs because someone "tried" to deliver the package. Not good. Feel cheated.

Was sold a fake product on Amazon

Was sold a fake product on Amazon, spent 2 months talking with 6 different agents (2 of them being supervisors) that are quick to offer solutions that require you to hang up. The issue is never resolved and the next agent you speak with will ask you to re-explain the whole issue.

$350 on fake sheets and hours on the phone later, still no refund received but lots of promises from Amazon that it will be fixed.

Cancelled my Amazon Prime, never shopping at this scam site again.

free ship; not free ship? What's going on here?

I went to order an item and it said free shipping without prime membership. I changed addresses for ship to a PO Box I have very close by because things are often stolen here and it came up new with a extra shipping charge contradicting the original quote without shipping fee that was included apparently. Then I went to change the address back and it said free shipping. Is this confusing or what? Why can't it just be the same free shipping in different addresses? its not some kind of strange thing! I took screenshots of this and will be addressing it with Amazon. This is crazy! Who wants to order online anymore with this garbage from anywhere?

Security breach ????

Security breach ????? Someone hacked my account @amazon.ca, no phone calls, no email 😤 nothing, several charges were made on my account. But finally email from Amazon, but they are not responsible 🙄 so I ask you this do you want them handling your banking info. Have you checked lately they now want you to pay $ 20.00 to cancel. The gall.

I was sent the wrong item

I was sent the wrong item. I double checked my order to be sure. The Amazon policy said no returns but since I had not received my order I continued to try to contact someone. First I got a chat bot and could only select from a menu of options favourable to the company so I asked for a call back. The call back was from and electronic voice that similarly stopped me trying to resolve the issue. My only recourse was to write a review. I canceled my prime membership to try and get their attention. Now I am following up with complaints - and have yet to succeed in finding a way to do that. It can’t be legal to take someone’s money, supply the wrong product and then make it impossible for the the customer to seek a refund or the correct product, can it?

Items not received, refund not issued

I ordered two items through Amazon on March 1st. Two weeks later I got a notice stating these items were “undeliverable” and a refund would be issued once the items were returned to its origin. A refund was NEVER received for these items. Presumably, these items were damaged during shipping. The customer should NEVER have to wait for a refund when it is clearly the organization’s fault. Consequently, I will NEVER purchase items through Amazon again…and I spent $thousands!

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.

Ordered a TV for $833. Came in completely smashed screen. Had to pay shipping costs of $470 to return. Been given the runaround for days and get zero help from customer service. They refuse to refund my shipping costs which was 56% of the total cost of the tv. They’ve lost my business and family’s business too. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced and I’ve been very kind this whole process. It’s been a joke. For a billion dollar company, they only care about their pockets and not their customers using their platform.
