I ordered some sweets from them and then I read the reviews on this site and started to really worry, but as it turned out I had nothing to be worried about. I ordered my items on Friday evening and the following Wednesday they were already at my house. Only one item was out of date, but it wasn't long so I didn't really care. Their sweets are a little bit overpriced but over all it's a good company.

This company honestly smells like such flappy flap its unbearable i could even smell the flap when i opened the box.

Ordered a few items from American soda, including for cans and two glass bottles of soda. The items were delivered quickly and were very well packaged. I will definitely be ordering again.

This company literally threw £67.02 worth of sweets into a used box without so much as a piece of tissue paper or bubble wrap. Some items were out of date, others were squashed or broken up, some had the filling oozing out or burst packaging. They promised to send replacements on next day delivery, I sent them photos but the replacements were not sent, so I had stayed home all day for nothing. They then refused to refund or replace all of the damaged items saying that they were still edible. They were supposed to be part of a Christmas Hamper so it was a complete waste of money. This company is a disgrace and should be closed down. It is sad when a company is badly run and must resort to cheating customers to make money..... Shame on you American Soda.

I placed my very first order on friday evening and received it wednesday afternoon the following week, which seems great considering my order wasn't processed until the monday morning (the next working day). The website was very easy to navigate and I was kept informed about my order up until I received it. The FAQ on the website covered all potential queries I had, ranging from delivery process to best before dates. I would recommend americansoda.co.uk to anybody.

This month I purchased on American sod company , it was very disappointing they took my money but didn't give me my order for over 3 weeks nearly consequently missing the occasion it was needed for, very disappointed and won't be using this company again, as when I tried to contact them with a message it always failed to send wether it was on phone, mac, laptop etc so the contact us box must clearly be for show

I was excited when I found this website, my boyfriend loves american food and buying from the shops in the UK made it very expensive and they didn't have a variety. This website allowed me to buy everything I needed for his birthday in one place for a reasonable price. I spent 2 HOURS picking out all the things to buy him, added them to the cart and paid £8 for next day delivery. The next day, I got an email saying 'delivery attempted' I immediately rang them to see what had happened, they said that despite me leaving a message that said 'leave in porch if no one is home' they had not delivered my items. Needless to say I was not happy and they assured me that my delivery would come the next day, when my delivery still hadn't turned up I rang them again to see what had happened. They promised to call me back that evening to tell me, 3 hours later I still hadn't had a call so rang them only to find that the offices had closed for the day. The next day I got an email to say that my delivery would be with me 'tomorrow' which is 4 DAYS LATE! As a result my boyfriend didn't get his birthday present on time and I was £8 poorer with nothing to show for it. All I was told was that I would get the money for delivery refunded, and no discount on the products that I ordered despite them missing things out of my order.
I AM NOT HAPPY.
I will as a result never EVER be using this company again, and will warn other people of it. I am disgusted.

I made a rather large order, over 50% of the items were out of date.

I sent an email, got a snotty reply saying this was clearly mentioned online.

No it isn't, you can add item to basket from the category pages and the stupid warning is on the product details page. Maybe if they repeated this warning on the checkout page then I wouldn't have bothered ordering from them in the first place.

Also, just because Best Taste before has passed the fact that the Best Before was 3 months expired.... that's something else completely even if there is a warning.... how can you selling a can of soda 3 months out of date?? You get a two year shelf life on tins of soda.

Pathetic company.

Oh and a rip off, check Tesco first.

I ordered some Coke Zero with vanilla for my wife's birthday at the end of May about 4 weeks beforehand however when she opened the first one to drink we spotted that they were only good until end of June so only had 2 month shelf life, way below other cans I have purchased.
When I rang to query this and suggest they advise on their website if items are short dated they firstly didn't call me back when I left them a message so I had to use social media to get a response from them only to be told the customer needs to ring them if the use by date is important and generally seemed not to care at all. I will not be using them again.

Have bought a few things over the years from American Soda - even driving all the way to the shop/warehouse once. My partner is a huge fan of root beer and we like trying out a few other things too.
Service has always been quick, a little expensive, but worth it.

This Jan, I bought a selection of stuff for my partner. Root beer, candy and some hot BBQ sauce. The bottle of BBQ sauce was wrapped up well in bubble wrap before being placed with all the other stuff. Yet I noticed that the best before date had been removed. It has light scratches just on the date, but all the other writing - product code etc which is right next to it was all fine and the plastic just fine and scratch free. I wrote to customer services to tell them what has happened, and to ask for the BB date, and they were helpful with the date - but tried to blame the removal of the date on the bottle on it being packed up with other items in the box. This just made me laugh out loud because it was just a feeble, esp as the bottle had been wrapped up in bubble wrap!!

OK, I am not saying that they as a company have done this deliberately and it could of course be just one of those things, but I must admit I will trust them less in the future. They should check their stock too before sending it out.

Ordered from them,and in some days it was shipped to me in Denmark.I love that i can get almost all i need from Usa in Uk,and at a reasonable price.And bcs its within Eu i dont have to pay the overpriced taxed i have to when i order from Usa.Everything was packed well and got here rather quickly.

Fantastic company with international shipping to a low price.

Love it ship internationaly and very fast indeed faster than most danish webshops a bit expensive but its worth it.. bit to many emails from em though but ill survive.. 4 stars due to the emails.. had it been one per week only it would have gotten 5..

i have used american soda loads of times now and will always use them for my american goodies. really good prices compared to all others on the internet, great variety of stock, great customer service, if you have any problems they will deal with them quickly and efficiently. i definetly recommend using american soda

They where doing a one day sale with huge savings I think it was black friday, so I ordered a few bits. Order was delivered on time but with one wrong item. I emailed to complain and they got back to me within a hour apologising and sent correct item straight away.
Their customer service is great, their products are well priced and they sometimes have voucher codes and discounts that are excellent value.

Fair prices, everything well packed and fast shipping as well.

The products are great, the prices cheaper than anyone and the delivery is reliable. But more importantly,. the PEOPLE are great, over the phone and in store.

Order regularly and never have an issue - I wish they would have more selection and that delivery was a bit cheaper but overall very happy.

I cannot fault American Soda. Every order has been delivered on time (usually ahead of the expected arrival date)! The delivery charges are incredibly reasonable given the weight of items I usually buy. Prices are high but expected for imports from America.

The service is excellent and I will keep on buying!
