I ordered a parcel from Angara and created a custom necklace featuring a garnet and pearl. It came to $1,700 — pretty steep for what it was , but I paid it because it holds sentimental value. It was to symbolise loved ones who couldn’t attend our wedding, so I wanted their birthstones with me on the day.
I had it sent to an Australia Post parcel locker. Soon after placing the order, I realised the parcel required a signature on delivery, so I reached out straight away to have the address changed. Chloe from Angara assured me the address had been successfully updated.
I then took a day off work (at my own expense) to be home and sign for the parcel. However, I hadn’t received any updates, so I contacted FedEx. I was told the parcel had been delayed repeatedly and was stuck at the FedEx depot because Angara never changed the delivery address as promised.
Eventually, the depot passed it on to AusPost — who then provided both FedEx and Angara with the wrong tracking number (one for a parcel I’d collected earlier that day). Despite explaining this to several different representatives, I kept getting told *“it’s already been delivered.”*
I’ve been repeatedly reaching out to Angara, providing updated information and proof that the parcel delivered was the wrong one. I’ve also raised refund cases, but it feels like I’m doing more of the investigating than their own team. Every time I check online for an update, I get told to give it *“another 24 hours.”* It’s now been over two days and I’m no closer to a resolution.
So far, I’ve dealt with Rose, Steve, Sheldon, and Chloe — all of whom have been horrendous when it comes to customer service (and I say that as someone who works in customer service myself). David, to be fair, has provided an okay level of service, but even he gave me incorrect information — he misadvised me about the account manager’s hours and told me someone on live chat was a manager, which wasn’t true. He’s also just repeated things I already know, as I’ve been the one contacting FedEx, UPS, AusPost, and StarTrack to keep everyone updated — and still, none of the information I’ve provided seems to get uploaded to Angara’s system.
Eventually, I gave up and requested a refund, providing clear evidence that I haven’t received the correct parcel. But I’ve been told they won’t refund the $1,700 because they can’t locate the correct parcel and AusPost’s system says it’s been delivered — despite all the proof I’ve submitted showing otherwise.
I leave for my wedding this Friday, so it’s now unlikely the necklace will arrive in time — completely ruining the sentimental purpose it was meant to serve. I won’t be using Angara again and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. The ordering process is easy, but if something goes wrong, you’re on your own.

I ordered a pink sapphire and diamond pendant for my partner's 75th birthday. Although the stated delivery date was before then I needed to be sure it would be delivered on time. The customer service staff I spoke to were very helpful and gave a personal service - I was allocated a personal member of staff. I had also mistakenly placed a duplicate order which was quickly sorted out. The pendant arrived on time, beautifully packaged - I didn't even have to wrap it! I love the light in the box. Oh, and she loves the pendant. The follow up call from my personal customer service person to ensure everything was alright was a nice touch.
