Do not use!! I have rang until I am blue in the face to try get the £50 Amazon card advertised with this policy. They don’t tell you that you have to wait another 2 weeks extra after the 3 months before it’s sent. I’ve been told different things everytime I have rang. No one rings back when they say they will. Now they are saying they have sent it when it hasn’t. They won’t just give you your code over the phone. You can’t speak to the department who deals with these perks. It’s just a joke. I give up! And you won’t be able to cancel your policy afterwards either when you don’t get it! It’s just false advertising to get you to sign up with them from what I am gathering.

Not great
I was surprised and frustrated to put in a £500 claim and only get £70 back. I have a £250 excess so I only expected to get £250 back, but £70 is ridiculous. The explanation of why made no sense, and even less so when I queried it. My friend in the veterinary profession had warned me that animal friends have a bad reputation for this kind of thing. I’ll be moving all my cats elsewhere at next renewal.

I can confirm that all claims are assessed in line with the Terms & Conditions of your chosen policy.
We do have capped fees on certain claimable items, these can be found on the "Important Information On Vet Fee Claims Limits" document that is sent to you at point of purchase and each year after at renewal.
Details of your excess and how this is deducted, can be found within your policy documents which are also sent to you at point of purchase and at every renewal after.

Great support
They supported me claiming for my toy Poodle when he developed cushings disease. It is stressful when your dog is unwell and they paid my claims very quickly indeed.

We are very pleased with the customer service, very prompt and quality.
We found Animal friends a much better pet insurance than a main competitor, whose premiums skyrocketed. Hence moved to Animal friends for past few years.
