Customers frequently praise the professional and caring staff who always take extra time to explain medical procedures clearly and make anxious pets feel comfortable during visits. Consumers also appreciate the transparent, highly reasonable pricing compared to other practices and the straightforward online booking system that makes scheduling appointments remarkably quick and simple. Be prepared to wait, appointments never on time

Had to take my dog to animal trust B’head as she had a blood blister on her inner flap ear due to constant scratching & she was in distress. Wanted to talk to reception staff via phone, they informed me that although they had 12 appointments they were for emergency appointments & mine wasn’t classed as an emergency. I had to ring back on Monday morning at 8.30 to get one of the appointments for that day. I wasn’t happy as I felt we were going down the route of our drs surgeries 😤
My pet ended up on steroids again & antibiotics. I also seen a different vet, who explained in detail the procedure I was offered previously. She explained in detail what I wasn’t told & cost. I feel some vets are more experienced & it depends who you get! Also they seem to also be running late with appointments. So be patient!

Always a good experience

Always have a good experience vets are friendly and helpful and very attentive to pets. However, there can be a timely wait to book a non urgent appointment weeks sometimes. You can get an appointment on the day if you ring up 8.30 am but be prepared to be hanging on the phone for a long time. Parking always an issue. Overall it’s an efficient and friendly service that I would recommend

Brilliant experience

Brilliant experience

Dexter our Jug needed his eye removed. The vet explained the whole procedure before hand and also the costings.
On the day we dropped Dexter off and the vets called us after his operation to let us know that everything had gone OK and to arrange a time to collect him later that day.
On collection we spoke to the vet abouts the operation and post op care.
Since then we have had two follow up appointments. Dexter had his stitches out today and his surgical cone removed.
The staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble for them.
We know have a healthy happy dog.
A huge thank you to all the staff at Animal Trust Vets stockton.

Although they seem cheaper its rip off

Although they seem cheaper, they charge more than 4 times the price of medication. Eye drop test £27.50. Eye drops £62.16 plus vat. So although your consultation is supposedly free they are getting the cost of it from the medication. The eye drops online are £9.99.
The vet was rude, very bad attitude. Unkind.
Would not recommend.
Won't be returning!

Becky was brilliant

Becky was brilliant, patient and kind. She understands tilly and our needs and what will be the best for her and also feels like she remembers us. In fact all the vets we have seen at Blackburn are outstanding actually.

Fantastic vet surgery

Fantastic vet surgery! Very fair prices. All the staff I have come into contact with have been friendly, welcoming and professional. Unfortunately I had to have my dog put to sleep, this only happened after a lengthy conversation with the vet and I welcomed the input from the vet who helped me make a difficult decision ( I asked her to). I cannot thank the vet enough for her help, compassion and understanding, she didn’t rush any part of it and I was given as much time with my dog as I needed. The reception staff showed empathy and compassion afterwards and allowed me some time outside before going to pay the bill. Absolutely amazing practice with equally amazing staff. I recommend them to anyone who will listen. The only downside is not being able to ring to book an appointment (unless it’s an emergency appointment) not everyone is online or competent using the internet including me

Appalling practice

Appalling practice. I found a severely neglected dog and I wanted them to report this to the rspca instead they contacted the owner ignored all my requests to urgently seek help for this dog. When I found the dog it was skin and bones was vommiting blood and was petrified of people. It had been neglected. I was in tears in this practice and the staff treated me and this dog with zero respect. When I questioned there actions I was basically told to leave. One member of staff stood in the background smirking. These people do not care about animals!!! It was proved that day. I raised a formal complaint and the response I’ve had is discusting. They have accused me of being rude and have removed all my dogs from there list. I want proof of me being rude. There’s a different life between trying to get ur point across and being rude. I even said throughout that I wasn’t going to swear yet I have been so rude to be removed!!! I came in about a lost dog I had found I tried to do the right thing by this dog. This vets are the most vindictive people I have come across. Now pressing forward with more complaints and mediation and I won’t stop until I’ve got justice for this poor neglected dog that was returned back to its owner!

Rang for an emergency appointment and…

Rang for an emergency appointment and turned away. Never thought they would say that. The excuse was because I lived half hr away and it would be less stressful to travel all that way. Just as demanding to travel 15 minutes to another. Very upset.

Stockton branch amazing!!!! 3 million stars

Stockton branch
My son who has asc etc has had rabbits for 8 years. Twice in the past, I’ve needed out of hours treatment, well in excess of £600 each time (bladder infection was one of the illnesses) by 2 different out of hours vets and had to go back to own vet next day for longer term medication at another £150+.
The male rabbit had a tooth op today and got conjunctivitis tonight coz they can’t blink during an operation apparently. Rushed him to the first vets that would see him, worrying how much more I might have to pay . Obviously money is a thing if you have a some family circumstances ….. so any savings are very, very welcome. The building was clean and well lit. A very kind reception lady and a vet. She examined him, gave him eye 28 portions of eye drops+ for 7 days , explained how to administer them etc…how eyes should look over coming days, how to keep them clean….maybe in room 15-20 minutes with vet. Total cost £116 at 11.30pm. The rabbits are my son’s world. So to find a caring service that really helped us was absolutely fantastic.

They cancelled our appt whilst we were there!

We turned up for our appointments booked a week previous and confirmed by email for our two dogs, they saw one dog and then were told they were too busy that day to see our second dog, even though we'd booked two separate slots. We were then asked to rebook and come back the next day! On the website it says if an appt is cancelled or missed by a customer they can be charged!!

Shrewsbury branch not great

If your thinking of leaving a vets to go to the Shrewsbury branch don’t bother , the grass isn’t always greener, the 0830 call appointments on the day are always gone or staff sickness , when you do call up your made to feel uncomfortable as it’s emergency only apparently, when you do get an appointment your waiting 20/30 mins in reception, your never updated on repeat prescriptions , one bit of advice would be just get the prescription and buy elsewhere.

Dewsbury Beanch

I took my cat to the branch in Dewsbury for a bad eye, after the vet went to look for the medication she came back and said they didn’t have any, then a knock came to door they found some, after the consultation my cat was booked in for a operation a week later, after keeping him in ruining a carpet( because we have a cat flap) we got there the vet said we haven’t got the medication to check his tear ducks, so he didn’t have the op, a week later I rang just to check to see if the had the medication to check his eye, they said they still didn’t have any..so we didn’t go, they was suppose to call me back I haven’t heard from them, yes this vet provided no consultation fee, but the service is disgusting to not have medication and not follow up with a call, if I could score zero stars then that’s what they would have
