AOF (Arbejdernes Op­lys­nings­for­bund) er en sammenslutning af lokale afdelinger, som gennemfører kurser, kul­tu­rar­ran­ge­men­ter og ud­dan­nel­ses­ak­ti­vi­te­ter i hele landet. Formålet er at sprede viden og forståelse om vores samfund og kultur og gøre danskerne til aktive medborgere. Formålet er også at udbrede demokrati i Danmark med udgangspunkt i viden, udvikling og samvær. Disse formål har AOF udfyldt siden 1924 med folkeoplysende aktiviteter i form af aftenskole og voksen- og ef­ter­ud­dan­nel­se. Hver uge bliver tusindvis af danskere på vores aftenskoler klogere på alt fra fransk sprog og syning til yoga og vegansk madlavning. Samtidig modtager mange andre voksne undervisning i almene kompetencer hos AOF, så de fx kan lære at læse, regne og bruge IT i deres hverdag. AOF's målgruppe er bred, men uanset hvad der undervises i, så tager vi udgangspunkt i den folkeoplysende tradition, hvor vi møder borgeren, hvor de er.

As someone taking the SOSU education

As someone taking the SOSU education, i think it's a great place to learn extra danish language and it's free. It's just a small room with so many student. Sometimes it's easy to get overwhelmed if you are someone who doesn't like to be in the crowd. For as long as you focus on learning it'll be fine. The teaching quality is good.
