Aon took 3 months for my wife to get…

Aon took 3 months for my wife to get her 25% tax free allowance to and throwing with different demands , then wanting to reply 3 to 5 working days.
She eventually paid out not a letter or email for confirmation of payment, looked at our bank account and payment was there.
Aon do not like to pay out they will drag it out as long as they can to keep your funds.
Now my wife has passed away claiming her pension is becoming a nightmare .
Ist off they didn't need death certificate , I stupidly did not send it !! I should have guess what they now need death certificate 🤔
Next they want my birth certificate.
Why they did not ask for on first demand of requests is beyond me.
And now to top it all from these clowns there asking for one months overpayment of my wife's payment to be paid back to trustees before they can commence with my claim.
Even though there is thousands of pounds in my wife's pension pot🙈🙈
This company is one of the worst out there , if not the WORST!!!
I await the the next demand from these parasites to delay any sort of payment.
AON YOU ARE DISGRACE !!
I did not want to give one star , as they are not even worthy of that!!!

NOTHING SHORT OF RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!

After the very unexpected death of my aunt, we were forced to cancel our Royal Caribbean Cruise. NEVER ever again will I buy travel insurance. These people have absolutely no compassion at all. They have absolutely no flipping clue what they are doing or what they are talking about. One will tell you one thing when you call costumer service and then another will tell you something completely different!! This company is NOTHING short of ridiculous!!!! After months of sending email after email with more than adequate proof of death, they still want more proof. We have sent doctors notes, obituary's, letters from the funeral home and a death certificate and they finally approved our party for their refund- 6 rooms total. One received their money within a week of the approval. The rest of us are still waiting for ours a month later!!!! RIDICULOUS!!!

Avoid this horrible company

Avoid this horrible company. They are fraudulent and incompetent. I can't believe they are still in business. I purchased travel insurance for a cruise. Had to cancel. My wife has stage 4 cancer. They refuse to pay. I should add heartless to my list of adjectives. Do NOT contract with them. They only steal your money.

Lengthy delays at every step

Lengthy delays at every step. 4 months into process of trying to take my pension and still can't give me a payment date. Firstly took over 2 months to issue the estimate despite repeated phone calls. Now I've filled in the application form (twice), sent it tracked delivery (twice) and despite having it they can't give me a start date to pay the pension, not even a final maximum date to do the processing. Very stressed by whole process. I've planned to take my pension, managed finances accordingly, and allowed the correct timescales but no sign of pension. I phone weekly and get different answers every time. Utterly appalling customer service.

BenX is needlessly expensive

Their private healthcare exchange, called Benefit Experience or BenX, is terrible. My company has 300-500 employees in the Philadelphia area and its HQ is in Atlanta. Here, the ACA marketplace has gold PPO plans that cost ~$1000/month for 2 people, no ACA subsidies at all. For the same parameters, the cheapest gold plan Aon BenX offers costs over 1,900 dollars/month, almost 2x the price! And on top of that, they don't offer any HMO plans at all. My employer is practically hemorrhaging money and so am I for no reason other than greed!

I started my drawdown pension 2nd August 2024 and am still waiting I have had to contact them on numerous occasion’s with no avail they supposedly sent 2 packs out to me which I never received and was happy to say oh the post office must have lost them!! I then requested them to send the pack by recorded delivery which they eventually did I ask them to email me with the tracking number which I never received I’ve asked to speak to managers who are never available I received an email today to say that the proposed company that I chose to invest with is no longer in use that was a further 10 days I’m so sick of the word sorry!! I want actions not worries now I’m supposed to be getting a call back on Monday that’s another month wasted. The company I worked for changed from standard life to AON what a sad day that was. I urge if you read this to try and NOT deal with AON customer services absolutely stink

Useless and deliberately obstructive

Useless and deliberately obstructive.
I’m taking ill health retirement at 54. Both my other pensions have processed my application with the gp letter I had to pay £35 for. I am on ESA and can no longer work, and this back damage surgery has failed. The GP letter clearly states this. AON have requested another form signed by a doctor, this would cost another £35 which is half of my weekly income. The question they want answered is will I ever be able to work again, which is what they already have clarity on at my expense. No other provider demanded this, so I am taking it to the ombudsman. Please don’t invest any money with these people.

I would highly recommend you not use…

I would highly recommend you not use AON for your insurance. I am an insurance advisor and set up an AON policy though my MGA and needed to increase my limits as I took on a large contract that required a higher E&O limit and they refused to increase my limit and wouldn't refund my premium as i had to switch E&O carriers. They basically stole my premium and forced me to double up on E&O insurance as i had to get a second policy through another carrier. Use anyone but AON.

Useless insurance policy

The policy is basically useless, as the “fine print” prevent you from redeeming it. I would certainly never recommend this service. Big waste of money and time. I had a legitimate family illness and believed I was covered, only to find out later about their “ terms and conditions.” Their customer service representatives were cordial, however the review process dragged on indefinitely, as if they hoped you would just give up.

Aon - highly unprofessional and incompetent

In my experience, departments within Aon (both UK based and internationally), are not joined up. Extremely poor communication. Certain employees seem very lax at their jobs. Overall, a terrible experience. Based upon this experience, I would not recommend Aon services to anyone.

The very worst pension provider - avoid at all costs

I have been trying to move an old work pension managed by Aon. Started the process in October 2023, many many many obstacles have been thrown in my way, each has been eventually circumvented. However, it is now August 2024 and they have managed to present yet another hurdle to jump over before I can move MY MONEY to a pension provider of MY choice. Emails typically take at least 2 months to be responded to, letters can take even longer. The very worst service I have ever experienced! If you are thinking of using AON I'd recommend thinking again.

Feel I have been ripped off by major company

1 star is a bonus for this outfit, started a Annuity on my pension with legal and General beginning February, the bulk sum was to pay for a hip repalcement operation I could not get on nhs which would render me disabled and out of work if i did not go private, by April there was anomalies with both parties AON and L&G both blaming each other, and nothing happening and through this incompetence, i needed to cancel my operation until May, and decided to go for the quicker option, and get bulk pension payed into bank so I could pay for my now operation may 21st May, my application was submitted end of April, and accepted and approved the beginning of June, after this I had several promises of pension would be paid into bank account as it is a 4-5 week turnround, May,June and July NO payment, a final email confirming I would be paid first payroll July. Again lies, NO MONEY. had to take a private loan for £15000 to pay for hip replacement, we are now in financial hardship, I feel cheated and conned by what is supposed to be a safe and trusted company to invest money....unless you want to take your money out of course......

Utterly appalling Aon Hewitt

Dedicated email helpline immediately responds with a 20 working day turnaround timeline. Helpline telephone number constantly engaged.
Eventually managed to speak to an assistant who was completely dismissive and unhelpful stating that my accrued pension benefits would be paid within 15 working days after my known retirement date as this reflected Aon Hewitt's "standard working practices". The assistant stated that this may mean my pension would not meet the following month's payroll so would be paid 2 months after my known retirement date. He failed to understand or comprehend the potential seriousness of this.
My other pension providers managed to pay my benefits on the agreed retirement date.
My message to Pension Schemes is do not appoint Aon Hewitt as scheme administrators and for pensioners and those with deferred pensions be aware of the Aon Hewitt's quite appalling level of service.

They never send a reminder about your renewal time. Just very rude in getting money.

They just collect money from customers…

They just collect money from customers then when you have a claim they tell you it’s not covered, they cover only things that will never happen in reality life, they are a cheater. I think you need insurance to cover the risk of this company, avoid it at all costs.
