twice or more with no response…worse than a government waiting list
i have called this company at least twice, they seem to be who you reach when trying to call a private assisted living home here in Vancouver, Canada. They take your information and never call back so you can't even do any research as to what homes to consider for your loved one. This is totally ineffective!
Be ready to be spammed
I went online this morning and immediately after submitting, received a robo call. Talked to that “person” who sent me to a senior living advisor who seemed to pull up recommendations based on location and number of stars. No personal insight. And, I have already received half a dozen spam emails and texts from facilities outside the location I said we were interested in. So, be ready to be spammed from this company. So far I am not impressed and only annoyed.
Please think twice before contacting…
Please think twice before contacting them. They will call, text and email non stop and even late at night. My mother died two years ago and I still cannot get them to stop contacting me, even after several emails and calls to them to have me removed from their list. There is no real service provided by them. They just take your information and sell it off to every other company. If you sign up you will NEVER get rid of the calls, texts and emails!!!
This place will not register negative…
This place will not register negative reviews of retirement homes.
I sent a negative review of Emerald Retirement Home in Niagara Falls Canada
I am currently a resident and in the process of moving out because of substandard food and lack of respect and accommodation for non smokers
The general manager who set up the room no longer replies to my e mails about the smoking and other issues with my stay here.
Helpful and Responsive
With a minimum of phone calls with my advisor a place for my brother was found within a week due to A Place for Mom being tuned into just what we were looking for. I used a Place before and knew they would be just as helpful and responsive.
Christy Neal was both compassionate
Christy Neal was both compassionate, knowledgeable, and of great assistance during a difficult transition. She is a credit to your service.
Starting was rough. Being a sole caregiver, I was used to not receiving much if any help or information. the first few weeks were overwhelming with the deluge of calls and offers
Perfect Experience
They found the perfect place in less than twenty-four hours, followed up to make sure everything worked out, and were diligent about our satisfaction.
A great resource when you have no idea where to start
Jill Armentrout was super helpful. She kept in touch with me and guided me every step of the way to find a place for my mom.
Fraudulent Listings - Just Another Middleman Wanting Your $
While searching for an assisted living facility in Eaton OH I saw reviews for a place I heard of that was not on other sites. Turns out the ENTIRE listing for this place was fictitious and fraudulent. NOT ONE THING on the listing was even close to accurate. After my own research the facility I was looking into is a GROUP HOME FOR MENTALLY ILL patients. Not dementia or alzheimers, people in their 30's and above who have been ruled as incompetent by the courts. Built in 1877 and the place is a wreck. I wouldn't put my worst enemy there. I called the phone # and shared this with them over a month ago and told this story with more detail. Still no changes. This company and many like it are just websites that take calls and then hand you phone numbers for a commission. The website pages for facilities is AI generated and not verified. They do not care about truth, just your money. Just do your own research and call the local facilities yourself!
The Enclave at Anthem
My parents moved to Independent Living in 2017 when the facility was new. The facilities are well maintained and Kathy the manager is great to work with as is all the other staff. We moved my dad into assisted living in 2025 and his care has been excellent. I can't say enough good things about The Enclave at Anthem. We have had a top notch experience going on 9 years .
Relentlessly Helping
Our needs kept changing and A Place for Mom kept coming up with options. They regularly followed up on our progress without being intrusive. So glad we sought them out.

Kristin Howard was a great help in finding assistance for my father. She was prompt in addressing my needs. Thank you!!
I asked multiple times for a rating…
I asked multiple times for a rating list of available places and have yet to receive one. This only makes my search time longer and more difficult.
Also, I asked that my phone number and email address be given to these places because I did NOT want phone calls with any of them until I called them for info.
Cathy or Kathy was terrific
Cathy or Kathy was terrific. She set me up with various homes and helped me get my mom into The Lodge. It’s perfect!
The service provider was unable to help
The service provider was unable to assist me and hung up on me. I was told there was no solution as they do not cover the state of Florida.

Do NOT even click their link!
Just by clicking on their link they were able to capture my phone number and have been calling, texting and emailing numerous times a day despite being told not to call me again. This morn the same girl, Yosselice, texted me at 6am. I responded to stop. Instead she immediately called me. I told her not to call me again and hung up. 5 mins later someone else from the company called. This is harrassment and will not be tolerated. Do NOT even click their link!
Be ready to communicate
Be ready to communicate! You will be speaking with a representative within minutes of filling out the form. There is no fee for the service, but clearly they are only giving you information about the facilities they are contracted with. Do your research and make appointments to see as many locations as you can- even the ones that this service doesn't share with you. Overall I have no regrets with using A Place for Mom.
From beginning to end
From beginning to end, legendary customer service! Stephenee was my intake rep and she thoroughly listened to my needs for my aunt and provided several great places to check out. She followed up and offer to be an intermediary on anything I needed such as rescheduling, price comparison and considerations and overall support. We ended up choosing Resorts@Augsburg
I am not saying every place they…
I am not saying every place they suggest is bad, but face the facts, A Place for Mom receives compensation from Assisted living facilities! Many of the places they refer, they have never inspected, but the check cashed! Many places are on Provisional license & the reason they are on a provisional is because usually for Neglect, or as they call it "compromised care! When deciding on a place to put your loved ones, ask to see their license, stand outside and talk to family members as they are going in or leaving!
