Do better!

Very concerning that A place in the sun does not carry out background checks on their participants.

'Mark and Taz'.
Mark fled Ireland to escape his debts and wronf doings. He came to the UK to extort his mother, who he put in a care home and sold her life long home.
Now shamelessly attempting to purchase properly with it.
The man is a danger to society, Taz has always been aware of his convictions and has dabbled in the money also.

Big let down that A place in the sun doesn't do more research on their applications.
Do better!

selling my Spanish property

I was thinking of putting my Spanish property on this website until they asked for almost £400 upfront before sending me 'how to' instructions! Then if I decided to not go through with it cancellation refund would take 30 days (probably minimum) So no thanks! What a way to run a business. Also I'm not tempted by the so called 'hundreds of thousands' of potential contacts.. Now using eyeinspain

Ben Hillman is so embarrassing with his false laugh and is incapable of making a conversation.
He really makes me uncomfortable to saying he his British trying to make people buy property that they clearly are not interested in.
Why doesn’t he explain that the pool is not free and will cost extra per month.
Also living in Spain is not just sitting on your solarium or roof terrace as it was called once supping glasses of wine .
You need to know the amenities etc doctors, dentists, health centre , banks, shops within reach of these properties.

Stop the awful synthetic Ibiza background music

Love this programme as it shows many properties - HOWEVER - programme makers, PLEASE change the loud nasty synthetic tinny ‘Ibiza’ clubby type background music - it’s so grating - teeny clubbers wont be watching this programme. The music often drowns out the presenter too, and surely you can find some classy music that’s appropriate to the country visited?

It makes my teeth curl 😩

Terrible Presenters

This is getting more unbearable as each episode goes by. All of the presenters grind my gears. Why can't any of them speak properly? 'th' is not pronounced 'f' ffs. Who recruits these people? Please stop dumbing it down.

Two of the female Presenters insist upon saying, guys, continually, it's so very annoying, they do know the prospective buyers names, why do they not use them. Its unprofessional and disrespectful! They need to take a leaf out of Jasmine and Jonnys book.

Love the show for what it is

Love the show for what it is. Yes, it's low-budget and the music just amplifies that. Yes, there are too many Spain episodes, but just skip those and the ones where people want a palace with a sea view for 50,000. It's a fun bit of fluff that allows armchair travel and a wee bit of culture. I love the hosts!

Absolutely appalling service from the money exchange side of the business. After spending hundreds of pound with them over the years they then treat me with total disrespect after i asked them to change the rate on a small order. Then they cancelled my account....... I went straight on to another company who gave me a great rate and the service was excellent. I would avoid these people at all costs. The have lost all my business now and i would never recommend them to anyone.

If Laura Hamilton was my estate agent…

If Laura Hamilton was my estate agent I'd throw myself off the balcony! Everything is about her her her. The poor buyers have to put up with her showing them terrible properties then blaming them because they've only got £200000 and taking everything they say as a criticism of her. Narcism I think.

I am thinking of buying a property…

I am thinking of buying a property abroad, that's why I watch it but some of the presenters don't listen to the buyers wish list, it's incredibly annoying. 2 or 3 of the 5 properties are wasted because they don't take on board their likes and dislikes so what's the point? Ben is my favourite and bring back Jonnie too, he was very good. Oh and please can you ask the presenters not to keep saying 'do you want to go inside and have a look?' of course they do, that's why their there.

How to get on television with a free break

Why do they include people who have relatives that have lived in the area (for many years) they want to move to.
In one program the woman’s parents had lived in the Algarve for over 20 years. After declining all the offers she had decided (surprise, surprise) to live near her parents. Surely her parents would be in a better position to find her a property.
But then again she would not get on television!!!
Sadly (like this lady) a lot of your so called prospective buyers have the same intention.
After all these programs you would think your vetting would improve.

My husband and I watch A.P.I.T.S.EVERY evening befor retiring, we in our 70's now and can't travel anymore [ unfortunally hubby has Dementia] We travelled a lot in the past , so now this is our escapism !! only two thing annoy us , too many Spanish resorts , love France and Italy , [ that's a personal thing] But our biggest bug bear is that when viewing complexes you don't always tell monthly charges [ maintence fees] now, YOU must understand that factors HUGELY in a persons decision !! yes the odd time you do say , but should be mentioned EVERY TIME !! We think . Thanks for reading this , KINDEST REGARD, Linda Thomson xx

Less fluff please and more substance

Can we have less small talk and pit stops of the town, attractions and visits to multi-million-pound properties that the potential homes buyers will never see!

Can we maybe stop skipping rooms? Spend more time looking at the actual properties, gardens and outbuildings and enjoy the reactions and commentaries of the potential buyers? That would be great, thank you!

Positive - Jasmine ....love your energy! You make me happy
