New presenters are awful
New presenters are awful, very fake....why change the presenters.. "If it ain't broke don't fix it ".
This programme could be very good but…
This programme could be very good but is spoilt by the presenters, especially Jasmine with her over the top enthusiasm. It would be better there was more from the people looking around, instead there is a whistle stop tour of the property, we see a small bit of what they think, then we're on to a a craft fair, pig farm or something equally inane. This is usually accompanied by "You're only ten mile yomp from this lovely square, and the property is only £25000 above your budget." Don't the researchers listen to what these buyers want?
Loud music over presenters' voices
In the new series being aired now the presenters' voices are obliterated by the overly loud music during the full description of the property prior to the prospective buyers going inside. Awful. Doesn't anybody check this before the final cut?!
Omg, music too loud!!!!
Omg, couldn't hear a word scarlett was saying on a place in the sun. The loud music was actually giving me a headache!!! Please change this!!!
Headache in the sun …
What moron decided to spoil a perfectly delightful program with loud obnoxious music. Perhaps it should be renamed “dancing in the sun “. Michael Marks
Absolutely awful over loud music taken over the program!
I agree with recent posters who complain about the absolutely awful disco type well over loud music which appears to have practically taken over the program.
One can hardly hear the presenter as the music crashes in at almost every opportunity.
Even while the property seekers are looking around a property.
The program should now change it's name to:
A Place In The Disco!
Background music to loud can’t hear…
Background music to loud can’t hear presenter speaking
What has happened with the background …
What has happened with the background music it’s awful, struggle to hear what the presenter is saying in background. I love this program just ruined with the music.
Love the programme - stop the music
What’s with the nasty disco ‘Ibiza’ type music that keeps playing in between shots? It often plays in the background when people are speaking too.
Please at least change it to something softer and less irritating.
Aside from that, I love this programme as it has plenty of properties to see.
But stop the music.
Your music is much to loud you can't…
Your music is much to loud you can't hear the presenters voice when telling us about the property
Complete liars and disrespectful
Called by them in July asking if we could be available August or September for filming. Said we could be and answered a lot more questions. Was told we would be sent properties etc by email to consider and they would get back to us. Never heard from them since and just seen them filming in Bergerac!
Disgusting lies and very disrespectful, typical channel 4
Terrible Presenters
My wife and I enjoy the programmes unless Laura Hamilton or Jasmine Harman are presenting it, when we switch off. Their condescending, repetitive questions, and unreal stupid reactions to house hunters replies, make the whole programme annoying to say the least. If an offer is made, the over the top excitement by the presenters and the manner in which they approach the Agent/Owner is always in the same vein and totally inappropriate.
Could somebody please stop Danni from…
Could somebody please stop Danni from calling each couple “you guys” they do have names but very rarely does she refer to them by name.
Getting worse by the day
Getting worse by the day, I’m afraid lockdown and place in the sun has highlighted that some of the presenters and budgets are simply a waste of time.
The new get out clause is couples need to go home and review their budgets, it should be called a free weekend in the sun, today’s Gran Canaria search is one of the poorest episodes I’ve seen for a while.
Love this programme.but cannot watch it…
Love this programme.but cannot watch it when Jean Johanson is on it .worse presenter on tv

I notice that when people settle on a price for a property in Spain, this programme makes no
mention of the additional taxes and lawyers fees, which can add between 10% and 12%.
Enjoy watching a place in the sun Jonny…
Enjoy watching a place in the sun Jonny Irvin is the best really does his best always stays below budget Laura Hamilton is not very good just wants to look good (a joker look a like) Jasmine Harmon deffinetly goes well over budget
It was a great day but unfortunately…
It was a great day but unfortunately was spoiled later that year, my wife and I booked with Mark from your dream home in The Sun, to go and visit some properties in Spain with a view to buy. We paid him £200 and was due to fly out several weeks later, unfortunately covid came along and we could not travel, after about 30 emails to Msrk and his company regarding the repayment of my money I finally got a reply from Mark, only after I threatened to go on Twitter about his conduct, and he said he would send me the money back all I had to do was send my bank details, that was 2 weeks ago and still no money, I’ve sent 20 more emails to him and not 1 reply, it is totally unacceptable and I would advise anyone thinking of booking a visit with mark or his company who came recommended by A PLACE IN THE SUN not to part with your money, Mr Glover
Amazing show with Jonnie Irwin
Amazing show that was very informative and must say seeing Jonnie was definitely my highlight (maybe not so much for my husband). I hope I don't need to attend next year as will have already bought and relocated :)
Questions answered
We came to view properties in two potential locations and it was perfect as we got all our questions answered for both areas, so we've narrowed down our search as a result. Hopefully will be able to find the right property for us soon!
