Got charged £8.28 to send me some tiny tensioner clips via Royalmail large letter - package weight 87g.... what?
Each clip £0.63. I guess these could be (and probably are) pumped out in Guangzhou for a few pence each (maybe less!).
So, a combination of 'ripoff Britain' and a captive market I guess. Unique to Appeal it seems so you're stuck with it...
To be honest, they should be free as the original design WAS NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE, hence the redesign. And who makes parts that disintegrate under UV light - they're in the sun!!

So, Guangzhou it is then..!

Danny came and measured up just before Christmas very efficient. We were going to have them put up before Christmas but decided against it either decorations up etc.

Danny came today (mid Jan) and had all blinds fitted and working in the day. He didn’t stop except for a small break for lunch. He was very professional and moved furniture and cleaned up as he went along. He also disposed of all the blind packaging.

The blinds on completion have transformed the conservatory. They reflect the home lighting and create a warm cosy feel to a previously stark and cold room.

Room already feels warmer with these blinds in place.

Had our blind installed today and very happy with the installation by Alan. However, I was being let down by the promise from the company that it would be installed before Christmas hence one star deduction. All in all, happy with the product and the visual effect so far.

I couldn’t recommend Appeal Home Shading enough. From start to finish they have been professional, informative and communication has been outstanding. We had a fly screen installed and the engineer was fantastic, very polite, professional and clean and tidy. We are so happy we chose Appeal Home Shading to carry out the work.

Found the process very straightforward and would recommend the company for your blinds. The fitter Ryan M was very good. The fitter actually visited the property several weeks before carrying out the work which worked very well,

The ordering process & survey was straight forward. Unfortunately on the day of fitting the fitter, Codie turned up with a blind for another customer. This meant I had to rearrange another fitting date. Then I was informed that Codie would not be fitting it due to sick leave & this resulted in a further delay as another fitter had to take on the job. Dan the fitter was then allocated to the job. His communication was excellent as my original PM fitting could now be an AM fitting. He was very thorough & diligent in his work. He explained everything in fine detail & reassured me as Codie had done the original survey. Dan explained what he had done & how to work/maintain the blind. The room was left tidy & clean. Dan is a real asset to the Appeal company. Thank you Dan. The insect Blind is now fitted in time for Spring & seems to be a top quality product, time will tell once in use.

The consultant (Ruth) and installer (Vince) were very good, knowledgeable and professional. Unfortunately on the first visit Vince couldn't install all the blinds as some had the hole for the cord in the wrong place in the cassette. A second visit to rectify this resulted in exactly the same problem, plus one of the blinds did not hang straight. It took a third visit for everything to be sorted. Customer service were frustrating: they were not good at keeping me updated and their attitude seemed to be that we just had to slot back in the system. I felt they could have made more effort to acknowledge their mistakes by trying to resolve them quickly. We are pleased with the blinds now, they look very nice. I would recommend not paying the final instalment until completion of the work though.

From start to finish everything was efficiently handled. The fitting was completed professionally and cheerfully by Steve.
Kept informed of progress by a friendly head office throughout.

We bought electric blinds for our 2 roof lanterns in 2022. There was a lot of back/forth and it ended up being some time between placing the order and receiving the blinds, due to surveys, availability of fitter, etc.
Upon installation, it was discovered that one of the blinds had been manufactured incorrectly and so had to be returned to the factory, causing further delays. We eventually had the second blind fitted, however, we were surprised by the unsightly string ends hanging from the frames. Less than 12 months later, the string on the second blind snapped. We had a battle with customer services to get it fixed as they were insistent that because the order had been placed more than 12 months previously, the guarantee was no longer valid. They did, eventually, fix the blind, but now, three years later the other blind has broken and we are faced with paying an indeterminate amount to Appeal to get it fixed....or cut our losses and get the blinds completely replaced by another company....No guesses which we are going for!

Paul C went above and beyond. Very neat and tidy. Impressed that he asked for something to cover the glass top. More need to learn to treat houses like Paul. Would recommend
