I just got a really scammy sounding bit…

I just got a really scammy sounding bit of spam from this company. All it really seemed to say was that they were really good at overcharging people and that they would build my business in very vague terms. They are a cayman island company with 6 employees on LinkedIn. We are avoiding them. They were using an alias to my email that was a fairly standard format to guess the email and not an email they would have gotten anywhere else.

Response:

In my career, I have received many solicitations but the one from your firm was so poorly written it is worthy of note.

Starting with the assumption that people have heard of your firm that likely led to you feeling no need to identify what it is you do or what kind of consulting you do.

The language of the email itself projected nothing other that your belief that you are very good at billing both your clients and your consultants but can’t be bothered to proofread your outgoing correspondence.

The email received literally said “charges consultants an annual service fee of $1.5k + a 10% service fee”.

Forget that there was no reason in a solicitation email like this to mention commission fees but the mentioning of “service fee” twice did not inspire confidence.

For reference, generally a better form for the email would be hello, we are, we are contacting you because ________, our clients are ____, we believe we can help your business by _____, here are some links that show a value proposition that will take no more than 5 minutes of your time, this is who we are on Linkedin (better here if the New York office comes up rather than the cayman island office), we would like to schedule a call with you to learn more about your business and see if we can find opportunities to work together.

Bring the numbers up and talking about commission charges is a turnoff for most and are better brought up later once some confidence is established. Learn your craft.

Next the email address used was one I happened to enable as an alias to my main email but it was never used anywhere. The likelihood is that your “marketing” team just took domains and first initial and last name and spamming domains and name matches from whatever site you have bots scraping for information.

Furthermore, by requiring that I unsubscribe on a solicitation email, having had no previous interaction with me or acquiring my email in a legitimate manner (guessing does not count) your firm is in violation of Canadian CANSPAM legislation and technically in violation of the American legislation as well.

All in all the approach was amateurish at best.

Review stands. If this is the way you approach people then I would not want you approaching people on my behalf.

BS emails

Appleton Greene sent multiple emails to me which I never signed up for promising a large salary for a job completely unrelated to my field. When I finally replied asking how they got my email they suddenly stopped wanting to talk to me.

The whole thing just seems very suspicious. Dodgy graphics, repetitive linked in posts that read like an AI wrote them. Wouldn’t trust them.

REPLY:
Appleton Greene are now trying to remove my review, despite the fact that I have had a genuine interaction with them. They refuse to let me know how they got my work email to put on the spam list.

I was surprised to learn that Appleton…

I was surprised to learn that Appleton Greene already had a machine-learning program. The program's primary purpose is to speed up the processing of massive amounts of data. These artificial intelligence (AIs) use algorithms that seem to "learn" over time.

We can immediately analyze the data as it is received and identify trends and anomalies with the help of the Appleton Greene Machine Learning program. Consider a scenario in which a production facility machine runs at a slower rate. A machine-learning system can identify it and notify decision-makers to dispatch a crew for preventive maintenance.

Their program is cutting-edge since it is constantly being enhanced through implementation.

Highly recommended.

Highly recommended.

The core of Appleton Greene's Customer Value Management program is an approach to managing each stage of the "value journey" a customer experiences, from initial contact with potential customers to ongoing customer relationship management after solution implementation.

Since we began this program four years ago, we have continued to recycle it. The advantages are all-encompassing, and new hires must participate fully.

The program makes setting limits, controlling expectations, and consistently delivering easier.

We were informed at an industry…

We were informed at an industry conference that took place last year that 75% of CPOs expect to implement a digital procurement strategy in the next five years. The procurement community's top notion of interest is "procurement strategy." However, developing a solid and pertinent procurement strategy is more complex.

The majority of manufacturing businesses are currently experiencing sudden uncertainty. Global geopolitics and supply chains are continuously shifting, so we all need methods to anticipate change rather than respond after everyone else has.
With the Appleton Greene's Procurement Strategy program, we moved one gigantic step closer to achieving this. It's that good!

This is where Appleton Greene’s SaaS go-to-market strategy program helped us. It helped us to:
Identify the right audience.
Create value proposition and messaging.
Decide on your sales and pricing strategy.
Choose a marketing distribution strategy.
Choose a customer experience strategy and customer funnel.
Decide on the right metrics to track.

Outstanding programs, excellent service, and easy to measure. This was a worthwhile experience for us.

Logistics Management

Regardless of your industry, logistics is the foundation of every organization. Since the movement or transportation of commodities determines cash flow, logistics management facilitates this transportation, which is a primary corporate emphasis, necessity, and worry. For better or worse, logistics management affects a company's bottom line. It's imperative to avoid leaving that effect to chance.

So, What did we learn from Appleton Greene's 4-year Logistic Management program?

1. Visibility: Logistics management increases your team's understanding of the supply chain, enabling you to make data-driven decisions. Businesses can use this to manage expenses better, identify operational inefficiencies, identify issues with the supply chain, carry out demand planning, and identify future business possibilities.

2. Lower Overhead: By improving efficiency and having a more excellent grasp of the operation, logistics management enables businesses to lower overhead. These efficiencies, which include lowering shipping costs and reducing the amount of warehouse space required by actively managing inventory levels, can add up to millions with the appropriate changes.

3. Better Customer Experience: A great customer experience must be recognized. A positive client experience is a crucial motivator for recurring business. You can enhance the customer experience and increase brand loyalty and future sales by delivering orders precisely, swiftly, and with a streamlined procedure.

4. Loss Prevention: Logistics management assists in loss prevention in a number of ways. Accurate inventory accounting ensures your business always knows how many goods it has on hand and is one of the main ways logistics management reduces loss. Companies can also track movement and the current location to prevent products from being lost or redirected without warning. In addition, effective logistics avoids potential product spoiling and damage in transit by maintaining ideal storage and transport conditions, such as temperature and moisture management.

5. Demand Forecasting: Demand forecasting helps firms assess inventory requirements, sales trends, and transporting and stocking following those findings. Best practices for logistics management also assist businesses in scaling up to complete more client orders timely.

6. Competitive Advantage: On-time and accurate order delivery is a fundamental component of the customer experience, and positive CX is essential for generating repeat business, a strong brand reputation, and high net promoter scores. A company can improve its competitive edge and reliably deliver on promises with the help of logistics management.

But Appleton Greene did much more than teach us things, many of which we already knew. It gave us the critical ingredients for succeeding: knowledge; application; planning; development; implementation; management, and review. This is why it took four years; the support was excellent. The results were enlightening. I highly recommend them.

We all negotiate

We all negotiate. We bargain with relatives over how to spend time off; we deal with friends over who will pay for supper; and we negotiate with contractors over when to arrive at the house for a delivery or repairs.

So, within our company, it is not just sales or marketing people who need to be able to negotiate; any employee working in an executive capacity or middle management needs to learn to negotiate on behalf of their department and their work colleagues, to promote themselves and their ideas, but most importantly on behalf of our customers.

We needed to implement a multi-departmental process that would eventually become part of our corporate culture. If our key employees need to learn how to negotiate, how could we grow and thrive in the face of better competition?

Appleton Greene's negotiation strategy program provided us with the answer. It enabled us to decentralize the process throughout the organization, resulting in buy-in and commitment from key employees and stakeholders. It helped us build our negotiation structure from the organization's grassroots upwards. It enabled us not only to negotiate better ourselves as individuals but to be open-minded about encouraging our colleagues to negotiate and to support them in winning.

We have become much better at:

1. engaging in systematic planning and preparation;
2. having high expectations;
3. maintaining a reputation for reliability and integrity;
4. exhibiting strong listening skills, knowledge of the subject matter, verbal skills, and self-confidence.

The result is that we now have an organization driven by a culture and a will to negotiate.

Appleton Greene provided the process, trained us on how to use it, supported us while we were using it, and encouraged us to see how much progress we were making. We could never have achieved this level without Appleton Greene's help.

Doing what is right is sufficient for…

Doing what is right is sufficient for certain companies to motivate action. Data demonstrating that diversity can improve decision-making quality and that a varied workforce generates increased innovation may influence others. Additionally, the diverse backgrounds of the people who make up a non-profit's board of directors, staff, donors, and other stakeholders allow them to provide fresh ideas that help the organization approach it's objective more creatively and inclusively.

We have embarked on a deliberate journey with Appleton Greene to determine how our company can promote diversity, equity, and inclusion as ideals for our industry.

We began with Appleton Greene's Diversity and Inclusion program, and we're still doing it today. This initiative encourages open communication among our staff and board members so they may reflect, pay attention to one another, and gain knowledge from one another's experiences. To determine how our partners can best extend this work throughout the sector, we are also working with our partners as part of a multi-year effort at Appleton Greene. We are happy to share what we have learned about how other NGOs adopt these values while furthering their objectives.

Adopting these organizational values is a means to consciously create space for successful outcomes, whether in direct services, non-profit capacity-building, or public policy. We encourage everyone to consider their values, express them, and follow them.

A great place to start is the Appleton Greene Diversity & Inclusion program.

The failure rate for corporate…

The failure rate for corporate partnerships is between 60% and 70%, which is a considerable paradox given that studies show that the number of corporate partnerships is growing by about 25% annually and that they provide close to a third of the revenue and value of many organizations.

And despite a wealth of suggestions on how to make partnerships successful, that dreadful track record has stayed the same in the last ten years.

By implementing the Corporate Alliance program at Appleton Greene, we saw how vital interdependence is for coalitions amongst businesses that may nevertheless compete with one another in the marketplace.

They necessitate the capacity to navigate and frequently to actively leverage significant variations in partners' strengths and operating methods.

Due to these traits, the conventional wisdom on alliance management is incomplete and false, encouraging businesses to downplay or disregard other, potentially more significant success factors.

With the help of structures and procedures that could be both independent and collaborative, Appleton Greene's Corporate Alliance program gave us an objective viewpoint as well as a practical approach that could be applied across many departments, businesses, and stakeholders.

Thanks to the extraordinary processes and support, we have the confidence to prioritize corporate collaborations in our strategy for business growth.

ANNOYING SPAMMERS

Unsolicited bulk spam, sometimes more than once per day, trying to set up a telephone appointment with me for some generic BS reason. I have no business relationship with this company nor interest in any services. They harvested my email and subscribed me without consent. Do not trust this company. Stay away from Appletone Greene!

Edit: Your reply suggests I should unsubscribe. Unsubscribe means I am subscribed. I did not subscribed to your spam. You should not have subscribed me to your spam. I suggest YOU make sure you don't email me if you don't want further reviews on other websites regarding my interactions with you.

Edit2: Just opened my email to see you have spammed me at another of my email addresses. Why are you subscribing me to your spam? I don't want it! I did not ask for it! Leave me alone!

Edit3 8/16/23:

After making factual and demonstrably true statements Appleton Greene has hired a company called "nathsolicitors" working with the Law Offices of Stephen Goldstein to intimidate and further harass me for exercising my human right of free speech claiming that my conduct has caused "considerable embarrassment, anxiety and distress". I find this laughable as it is Appleton Greene that is harassing me! And even after I have told them to stop harassing me they continued to do so! They are further attempting to intimidate me by citing laws of jurisdictions to which I do not belong.

They have demanded that I:

1. immediately delete all defamatory statements made online whether on the Blog, or anywhere
else, and any other content identified in this letter.

2. undertake in writing that you will not post any more defamatory statements online regarding
our client, or otherwise repeat any of the words complained of in any other way and via any
other medium or encourage others to do so.

I will be doing neither. Instead, in response to these threats, I will make public these issues on further platforms.

They further make the threat that if I do not delete my review they will "commence proceedings to include an injunction and a Claim for damages for loss incurred by our client".

I WILL NOT BE DELETING MY REVIEW. I WILL INSTEAD WRITE TRUTH ABOUT YOUR COMPANY.

We are executing three change programs

We are executing three change programs, one of which is Appleton Greene's Emergent Change program. It is simple to plan for any eventuality if you realize that different types of change necessitate different sorts of processes.

We were able to use the Emergent Change program's method or procedure to prepare for any change that was imposed upon our organization, such as new industry regulatory requirements. We must constantly adapt to comply with new laws since our business is heavily regulated. Therefore, a procedure we can employ to bring about such changes helps us to save money, time and a lot of stress.

As with every process, it is essential to have the right quality of support and assistance and an external resource that feels as if it is an integral part of your organization, and that is what we have with Appleton Greene.

Indiscriminate spammers, offering vague one-size-fits-all-we-don't-know-(or-care)-what-you-do-consultancy jobs.

Stay away.

* Mentioning an unsubscribe button does not make a SCAM a non-SCAM

I got an unsolicited offer for a 500k/year 'consultancy' job, completely unrelated to my business, completely unrelated to our experience.

obviously: SPAM + SCAM

We all know which products or services…

We all know which products or services that we offer are profitable, but we do not know precisely what profit contribution each product or service makes. Appleton Greene’s Profit Centre program provided us with a process to do just that, not as a one-off investigation but on an ongoing basis.

When you allocate not just variable costs but fixed costs to each profit center, it becomes clear where to focus our future investments and how to increase our return on investment with some profit centers. It was also apparent which profit centers, while profitable, were probably not a sensible way to allocate our resources.

The most important discovery has been implementing such a simple process that has provided us with a tried and tested way to measure and improve profitability, our flow of funds, and return on investment. It has provided us with clear KPIs across the financial spectrum. It enables us to place a profit contribution value on every amount that we spend.

We have wanted to implement a viable

We have wanted to implement a viable, sustainable strategy for some time. Still, it seemed hard to agree upon structures and processes that all stakeholders could get behind whenever we tried.

We did not acknowledge that a sustainable strategy is unique to each business and its operations. While Appleton Greene’s Sustainable Strategy program provided a standard process that could be implemented across multiple organizations, it offered us the flexibility to moderate it to suit our unique circumstances. This was the key to our success, and we could not have achieved this without Appleton Greene’s structural process and wonderful support.

Some companies take small steps to reach a sustainable goal, such as working on switching their production to use entirely renewable energy within a five-year time frame. Other companies take actions that can be implemented immediately, such as changing their packaging to use only recyclable materials. Sustainable strategies can also focus on giving back to the local community through monetary means or physical action.

When executed correctly, companies should see many benefits from their sustainable strategies. We are seeing lower operating costs and business expenses, better overall financial performance, improved reputation, and increased sales. We are also attracting more employees while increasing our retention rate of current employees. Having a sustainable strategy enhances not only our appearance but also our internal operations and level of success.

I highly recommend this program.

Just will not stop spamming me .............

These guys just will not stop spamming me - whenever I block one email they use a different email to get through - the sign of a true spammer.

What's even worse is that they had Trustpilot remove my review as they apparently couldn't confirm my identity - this being despite me providing Trustpilot information confirming it, my sending one of their ‘spam’ emails to Trustpilot as proof (no response from Trustpilot obviously!) and their continued spamming - I even lodged a privacy complaint / GDPR request with them, so they definitely know my identity (!) – be very wary of these guys, they are obviously crooks.

Shame on Trustpilot too – providing a shield for spammers like this and removing legitimate reviews.

As to their suggestion below that the people being spammed should 'unsubscribe' by clicking on a link from someone they don't know and who seem to be somewhat dubious is just a joke - not clicking on links from unknown dodgy companies is the first rule of not losing all your data to a crook! Nobody should click on any link from a spammer (which Appleton Greene most definitely are ..........).

Got to give them some credit for barefaced lying though, the bottom of their emails read "You will have originally subscribed to receiving information from Appleton Greene, by completing an information, newsletter, service, program, or customer request form. However, if you do not remember doing this, or if you do not want to continue receiving these emails, then you are welcome to unsubscribe at any time."

Yeah, right, we filled something in so that you could spam us!

Maybe as they suggest I just ".... do not remember doing this ...." - oh yeah, right, of course, that must be what happened, I filled in a form for some firm I know nothing about, have never heard of and am not interested in - makes complete sense now .........

It's ok though, if you have a problem you can contact their head off, in the Cayman!

Funnily enough, even they think they are spamming – to quote their reply to me "AGC complies with all international can-spam laws." – so there you have it, its spam ……….. despite what they say in reply to other users below, they know it’s spam!

They also stated to other reviewers below that they comply with all legal requirements, good for them, hopefully they don't just mean Cayman's requirements (!) – I put in a Subject Access request under GDPR – we shall see if they do!

Likely they will just try to have this taken down again, and Trustpilot will oblige and stand on the side of the dodgy company spamming everyone.

REPLY

As I am sure you are aware, I do not have to have been a 'customer' of Appleton Greene to write a review - according to Trustpilot I can review a business if I have had "a recent, genuine experience with them".

It could be, as they state, "You had a phone conversation, email correspondence, or online chat".

You can quite clearly verify from the email provided to you, not least because you have been spamming it, that I have had "a recent, genuine experience" in the form of "email correspondence".

I am sure you use this seeming loophole to have reviews incorrectly removed by Trustpilot, and it is shameful that they let you get away with it.

Our organization hired AGC to assist us…

Our organization hired AGC to assist us with the JDE ERP system implementation. This was a multi-million-dollar, multi-year undertaking. The stakes were enormous, there were various business issues, and we needed to meet a strict deadline. We collaborated with AGC consultants to identify business issues and which issues were most important to address and generate value throughout this process.

The gap analysis of the reporting structures and needs was one of the tasks. It took about six months to find all the gaps between the old and new systems we converted. Not only was AGC able to finish the gap analysis, but they were also able to implement a procedure via their Process Improvement program that empowered us to be more proactive in the future.
