This computer is actually poor quality

This computer is actually poor quality. I got it for Christmas and the screen part started falling apart. My mom sent it for repair and got it back. However, the screen part still ended up falling apart. They literally did nothing and now I am the one getting blamed for destroying it. Like sure I accidentally dropped it down the stairs but that doesn't make a bad figure. We went to a trip to NYC to give the computer to my grandpa (Who is a computer fixer) but I am pretty sure my computer is unfixable. I had it for 8 months.

I would 100% give this 0 stars if I could. If you are thinking about getting computers from Asus, please reconsider. The Asus experience is really not worth it. Screw ASUS. I actually recommend HP.

I built a high spec gaming machine…

I built a high spec gaming machine about 18 months ago and thought I would go for the best components including an ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Hero motherboard. Unfortunately the motherboard has failed within warranty. This has also been independently inspected by a third party PC repair technician.

I therefore contacted ASUS and a month on, I have finally been given a delivery address for a return, but to add insult to injury I have to pay for the carriage as it is outside of 6 months. Given how inefficient and bad the responses have been, I am dubious as to whether they will rectify the situation. So far I have been passed around several different partners / departments and have had to re-explain the issue several times. The email responses are not particularly great, either the agents are AI or they are regurgitating to a very tight script. Response times are also patchy, taking days which frustratingly means having any exchange of info is a very time consuming process.

I am disappointed because I thought I was dealing with the flagship premium brand of a premium motherboard manufacturer. Hopefully someone with some affinity for decent customer service from ASUS reads this review and can help resolve my situation.

I really wanted to love this laptop. It has a sleek design and performs well when it actually works. But over the year I've owned it, it's been plagued with issues and a very poor customer support experience.

Worst pc computers ever

Worst pc computers ever! Bought one but couldn't be set up as hardware issue fault - had to return. Bought another one - worked for one week then stopped working. Phoned customer support - they said hardware issue. So 2 brand new pc computers with hardware issues! Don't buy this brand.

Horrible Quality

Bought a new asus ROG Strix gaming laptop with 17 inch including an RTX 3070 graphics card and Windows 11. I barely use it, maybe once a week, and yet after a short time the whole system is unstable.

The booting of Windows often hangs up. Restarts are freezing. Today the keyboard just doesn't work even after rebooting it several times. So now, once again, I am forced to waste my time to make things work that should actually always work. NEVER in my whole life will I ever touch an asus product again.

WORST company ever.

This is the most overpriced and worst laptop company I’ve ever seen. HP, for the win. They claim to sell the “best” laptops with good specs, charging a high price as if it’s the "ultimate choice". After just one year, you get hit with, “Ah, remember how you spent $1K? Well, I’m going to give you just 30 FPS, weird bugs, and black screen issues.” Horay!!! i totally want that!

Please, whoever you are reading this, do NOT buy this product. Especially their laptops. You’ll be making a huge mistake, a deep wound you’ll never forget. Nothing will ever change my mind about this company.

Bought a prebuilt ASUS PC from BestBuy…

Bought a prebuilt ASUS PC from BestBuy and had to return it after a couple months of use because it wouldn't power on. The replacement eventually ran into the same issue but was outside of BestBuys warranty. So I contacted ASUS for repairs over the phone and shipped my PC to them for repair. Was an annoying process and maybe my BestBuy got a bad batch but at least they repaired it.

Don’t buy anything from Asus

Don’t buy anything from Asus! Horrible company! Costumer service is so rude! Sent in my laptop on guarantee to replace screen. They wanted to charge £180. I declined. Had to pay £60 for them to return my laptop. They just accepted international payment. They didn’t receive initially. The whole process took 2 months for nothing! The costumer service really do not care about the clients. Regret so much buying from them!

Crap.

A potato from my fridge genuinely has more power than this laptop. It struggles to run chrome for god’s sake! You need to actually have it on for about half an hour for an hour for it to not freeze every 15 seconds. Would not recommend.

I never could imagine that you will…

I never could imagine that you will acquire a laptop and you had an issue on repairs and the only repair center you have in the whole of Canada is located in Ontario. This is absolutely ridiculous and very shameful. I live in Alberta and there's no repair centre here. Unfortunately, my issue could not even be resolved. No more purchase of Asus product for me , family and friends.

Designers PLEASE READ

I had bough this product thinking that it would be a good replacement for my old 5K iMac. Switching to the Mac Mini and not wanting to spend more money for the Studio Display, I thought this might be a good route... I was wrong. If you are considering switching from any apple display, DO NOT BUY ANY ASUS MONITOR.

1. The Monitors colors are terribly off even with the calibration device.
2. Text and vector graphics are pixelated.
3. InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Premiere all flicker when moving objects or scrolling.
4. Mouse and graphics have strange glow around them.
5. Color quality is miss-matched on all IOS devices (very bad for web design)
6. 4K quality is not as expected. only looks good on 4K promotion videos
7. This is the second Pro Art Monitor ive bought that does not work correctly.

Finally, customer service is TERRIBLE! They are the reason I am no longer able to return this product. I tried working with them back and forth with them for weeks. Each time I was told "Unfortunately, at this time we will submit a ticket, please wait to hear from us in 2-4 buisness days." Over the course of this, I have reached the limit for return.

I highly suggest not buying any product from them for this reason alone.

Do your self a favor and just go with a more reputable brand.

Contacted them for a faulty LCD display…

Contacted them for a faulty LCD display
Sent photos in and blamed me without even inspecting the laptop.
When I did challenge how they came to the conclusion that it was accidental damage/misuse (which it wasn’t as I look after my tech) they replied they couldn’t without inspecting the laptop. (?) and to send it to ASUS to get checked with a chargeable form.
At this point I said I didn’t trust ASUS as they contradicted themselves and treated me like a fool.

DO NOT BUY FROM ASUS

Another bad review to add to the mix I suppose. Bought a ROG G16 in November 2023, and it’s had a catastrophic graphic failure. Sent it to ASUS for diagnostic/repair and they reported back that it is an internal hardware failure needing a new motherboard which will cost over £1500. The original cost of the laptop inc £300 VAT was £1898.00.
Luckily I bought the laptop through a third party, so I’m raising a consumer rights act dispute, and I decided to get the laptop sent back with no repairs while I wait for next steps, only to find that ASUS have completely bricked the laptop as they’ve removed the operating system, and due to this you can no longer enter BIOS to install a new OS as you can’t see what’s happening on the screen (it was able to run output onto an external monitor, but due to no OS this no longer works.). Very disappointed and upset tbh to experience shitty repair and also hardware failure of this degree just after 2 years. Do not buy.

Edit: just to update after doing some research apparently it’s a known fault do to manufacturing that the fan and the motherboard are too close to each other which causes a build up of static electricity which burns out the part of the motherboard that contacts the gpu. ASUS failed to disclose this to me and as is it a known issue to do with how the laptop has been built, nothing to do with me and not a one off failure. It’s happening with a lot of the 2023/2024 G16 ROGs.
After inspecting the laptop and seeing the classic symptoms of this issue, I should have been directed to a customer care team, what they have actually done is basically try to ransom me for money by sending back a completely bricked laptop as previously mentioned, and when I complained and asked why they’d done this they blamed me and said it was because I chose not to have a repair, and that repair for the original quote was still available. Having read other people reviews of them saying they had been assured faults were covered and then having the rug pulled this is looking like a tactic by ASUS to get you pay for the repairs because “the laptop is already here and you’re going to have to pay a handling fee for nothing if you choose to have it back with no repair”
Utter thieves and liars.

Asus Vivobook - Avoid at all costs!

As Microsoft have moved to Windows 11 I had to move on from my brilliant, old faithful Asus Zenbook to another laptop. Given my previous two have been Asus and have been very good I stuck with Asus. Big mistake. I bought an Asus Vivobook. What is bad about it? Where do I stop!

First of all, it wasn't the least expensive nor the most expensive but it feels cheap and plasticky. It also has the most ill-considered and ridiculous feature I have ever known on a laptop which is a calculator on the mousepad. I thought I could switch is off but when you use the mousepad it keeps coming on. A really, really not only unnecessary but detracting feature. Sometime the keyboard works when you switch it on and sometimes it doesn't, so you have to use the dodgy mousepad to reboot. The connection to my scanner no longer seems to allow multiple page scanning (all was good on my Zenbook - the Vivobook isn't).

All in all, a really, really poor piece of kit. Asus have regressed and pretty substantially - avoid!

Crappy product

The ASUS ROG USB-BE92 presents itself as a premium, next-generation networking device, but in practice it falls short in several fundamental areas—most notably in usability, driver reliability, and overall user experience.

The most glaring issue is the poor driver implementation and distribution. A product in this category should function with minimal friction, yet this adapter requires users to actively hunt for working drivers, often encountering incomplete, mislabeled, or non-functional packages. Even when the correct driver is found, installation can be inconsistent, requiring manual intervention, repeated attempts, and technical workarounds that should not be necessary for a modern peripheral.

Compounding this problem is the lack of reliable plug-and-play functionality. Instead of a straightforward setup, users may experience partial detection, missing device features, or the adapter appearing in the system without functioning correctly. This creates a fragmented experience where the hardware is visible but not usable until extensive troubleshooting is performed.

There are also serious concerns about software maturity and quality control. The inconsistency across driver versions and the absence of a stable, unified installation path indicate a lack of proper validation and testing. For a device positioned as cutting-edge, this level of instability is difficult to justify.

From a user perspective, the product places an unreasonable burden on technical knowledge. Instead of delivering a polished, consumer-friendly experience, it effectively requires users to act as system integrators—manually sourcing drivers, identifying hardware IDs, and troubleshooting driver conflicts. This is not acceptable for a mainstream peripheral, regardless of its advanced capabilities.

While the underlying hardware may support high-performance networking in ideal conditions, the real-world experience is undermined by software shortcomings and a lack of dependable support infrastructure. The end result is a product that promises convenience and performance but delivers frustration and inconsistency.

Bottom line:
This adapter is difficult to recommend. Its performance potential is overshadowed by poor driver support, unreliable installation, and a lack of user-friendly design, making it unsuitable for most users and barely acceptable even for technically experienced ones.

I received a defective mouse.

I received it for free, supposedly as a "gift" worth 65 LEI / 14.64 USD. It's defective so I threw it straight in the trash. I went back to the wired one. Asus Romania does not offer any technical support. I have tried several times and the problem cannot be solved. I do not recommend cheap mice.

Horrible company

Horrible company! I purchased a router from their website and ended taking 6 days to receive a router. At first, FedEx updated the app, however, I received that it was supposed to be signed for on a Saturday. I logged into the FedEx app, and it had arrived to FedEx near me and will be delivered with the window being until 8pm. Stayed home all day waiting for this package. Never arrived!

I canceled my order out of frustration and Asus could get that right. So if was sent back to California and all I get for wasting my time and no update was an I'm sorry.

This company does not care at all about the customer! I hope this review deters business
