Web storage *AVOID*

Signed up for this storage after purchasing an Asus Motherboard. The Web Storage is totally useless.
Will never buy any another Asus product based on this again

Just bought 500GB storage.

Just bought 500GB storage.
Tried to upload 60GB, when it said completed only 16 where there.
Very slow, unreliable and a total waste of money.
Your data will not even be there if you ever need it.
Just burned 20$

Incredibly bad

Incredibly bad - uploads and stops randomly, overwrites files, downloads extremely slowly and doesn't do what it says it will do. STAY AWAY!!!

It just wasn’t working for me and I…

It just wasn’t working for me and I couldn’t get any sensible response out of Asus support. So I came here. In the past I’ve always found Asus hardware to be good, so I thought I was doing something wrong. It seems it’s not me. It’s Asus that’s at fault. Nobody seems to be able to get it to work and I’ve never seen such a stream of negative reviews without the product being revamped. What’s really worrying is that Asus seem content to let the situation continue unresolved. Does this indicate a change in Asus attitude to customer service or to its products? Either way, I’ll be wary of buying any more Asus product until something changes. Yes it’s cheap, but if you’re thinking of buying then you’d seriously be better off burning the $10 or $20 and save yourself a lot of time and anguish.

Absolutely useless

Absolutely useless, the backup service that doesn't back up!

I spent ages marking up folders and docs for backup, set it to continuous as recommended and waited. 1 week later and it had managed 220GB. Also if you add a new subfolder to a folder that is set for backup, it doesn't add it to the list, you have to do it manually. However it eventually completed the backup and I made myself remember to add any new folders. At £10 for 1TB for a year I could live with it.

Yesterday I accidentally deleted a file and went to retrieve it from the backup. When I looked it hadn't backed anything up for the last 6 weeks, despite reporting that backup and sync had completed. I checked the backup list and there was nothing there! Completely empty. So basically it has been telling me that it had finished backing up nothing!

I suppose it is ok at the price if you just want some web storage, but don't rely on the client to do it for you.

I paid 13 dollars for 1 terabyte for 1 year so I haven't lost much but this service is unusable. It has taken 36 hours so far to transfer 15 gigs, no matter what I do the speeds don't increase and this is on a 100 Mb/s connection. The backup software is atrocious and that's before the upload speeds are taken into account. Looking at other reviews I see that I am far from the only one. I could pay some more for a lifetime license from other cloud storage companies but I had no faith any of them would be around in 1 year let alone 5, so I went with Asus because they are a trusted brand for me, but it looks like they have totally screwed this service up.

Purchased a Asus Rog 2 mobile phone with in 13 months the screen stopped working , the phone was in pristine condition with screen protector and case looked after it , but anyhow got InTouch with Asus support only to be told the warranty on my handset was only valid in China ? They simply did not want to fix it there after service was appalling to say the least, and then they emailed me asking me if I wanted to take up there cloud storage product lol, so I thought let's read the reviews and they don't look to good. So thanks to you guys il miss on Asus products. Useless products and service

DO NOT BUY ASUS ZEPHYRUS G14

This laptop was launched on 6th August and I ordered this laptop on 7th August, received it on 13th August. I took it on no cost emi for 6 months. Already paid for 2 months since it has been only 2 months since I bought this laptop.

In the very first month the speakers completely stopped working so I had to take it to the service center (check the image I posted). They said they fixed it and gave it back to me in 2 days.

After I got it back from the service center, I faced some graphics issue in the laptop so I took it to another asus service center that is close (around 10 kilometres) to my place, they said they'll update the window and then it'll be fine so I gave it to them. After a day I got a call from them asking for the charger of the laptop. Imagine an authorized service center did not have the charger for an asus laptop and the funniest part is, their engineers didn't know that it can be charged via USB C so I went there the same and gave them the charger. That was on Saturday. They said updating windows would take approximately 5 to 6 hours so I'll only get it back by monday and I was okay with that. I called them back on monday asking for the status of my laptop and they said they'll let me know about it on the Tuesday evening and it really annoyed me. I gave them my laptop on Friday, they said it'll only take 5 hours on Saturday when I went there to give them the charger and they didn't do anything about my laptop till monday so I called asus helpline for help (which took forever to connect) and they asked me to bring it back from the service center, only then they can provide home assist to me so I brought it back the very same day and opted for home assist where they'll send an engineer at my place and fix it here itself.

Asus helpline told me that the assigned engineer will contact me within 3 days which he did. He called me on thursday morning and said that he'll have to take the laptop to the service center as they'll have to connect my laptop to the server to reinstall the windows and I agreed to that. Instead of coming on the same day or on the next day, he came on Saturday morning and promised to return it the very same day but as expected, he didn't. He then returned it to me on monday. (check the image that I posted and also, behaviour of the engineer was kinda rude when he came to pick my laptop and he wasn't giving any satisfying answer to any of the questions that I asked)

So after I received my laptop back on 29th September and it was working fine this time. I wasn't facing any major issues with the device now and I was literally for it to not have any more issues but I was wrong. It worked fine until 14th October then I tried to turn it on 15th October, it did not turn on so I thought that battery might be discharged so I plugged it the charger but I was a bit confused as the charging light did not turn on even after it was plugged in for 10 minutes and the laptop didn't show any sign of life. Instead of turning on, it got really hot so I plugged out the charging cable and even after plugging it out, my laptop stayed hot for a couple of hours so it basically died.

MY LAPTOP DIED WITH 2.5 MONTHS OF BASIC USAGE. I wasn't doing any heavy gaming on it. I used it to learned video editing softwares as I was planning on starting my YouTube channel.

I went to service center more than 3 times in 2 months to get this 90k crappy machine repaired. I don't want to get it repaired again so I called asus helpline to replace the unit or refund me the money as amazon wasn't able to help me since return window was closed on 23rd August. Asus helping said they couldn't do anything as said their senior team will contact me with next 3 days. I'm pretty sure they'll just ask me to get it repaired and will do nothing to replace or return this faulty device. I asked Amazon to help me so they asked me to get service denial letter from asus which they declined to provide so now Amazon can't to anything. I will also go to the consumer court with all the evidences that I have and see if they can help me. If they do then I'll be grateful because I know Asus is not going to do anything and I'll be stuck with this crappy laptop.

I tried getting touch with asus via social media as well but they totally ignored me. You can check my tweets on my twitter account which is @weird_guyy

Asus is a terrible company. Please do not buy this product. You'll only end up suffering like me.

If anyone from asus or amazon can help me then please do. I'll delete my comment and change the rating if you do so.

I wish I read all these reviews before…

I wish I read all these reviews before I buy earlier. Have been using it for months and a complete nightmare. If this service is indeed owned by Asus, they better discontinue this webstorage business quickly because it is tarnishing their hardware business. It is amazing till this day and age, a company like Asus does not respond to this reviews and improve. Even the most basics in terms of responding to customer emails !!

This product is a joke

DO NOT get taken in by the marketing. This product doesn't work. I've used the contact email address to ask for a refund, but had no response. As far as I'm concerned, this is no better than a scam.

If you make changes to a document in…

If you make changes to a document in your sync folder, the changes are not synchronized. The document is still marked green (synchronized) in your sync folder, but if you check on the web, only the first uploaded version is on asuswebstorage. This service fails on the main purpose of it's existence. Going back to USB HD.

Well

Well, I got into it by the amazing pricing. In therms of price, unbeatable.

But it was a mistake.
Extremely poor windows agent.
Extremely poor upload speeds (I'm trying to upload a 15Gb folder for the last two days now! Yes...2 days.)

Trying to contact support is an adventure. Until now, no feedback at all to my emails.

So, ir you just want a cloud service to store a lot of stuff and never use it...and also if you got A LOT of time...this is good for you. Best one arround.

But if you really need a decent cloud service, this is not the one. I've made the mistake.

Really hope that Asus can get this service a lot better. It's a great brand, I used their products for so many years now. But this one...my first disappointment wih Asus. :(

I would rather give NO star

I would rather give NO star! Asus computers are very reliable but this cloud definitely is not.
The homepage is simply offline at least one third of the time. The Lucy chat only gives irrelevant, mechanical answers and the customer service is not better.
So forget about it in Germany!
