Don't update to the new WebStorageSyncAgent v2.6.2.686 !ASUS Cloud co says, "This new version protects against ransomware attacks!".

You can update to the new WebStorageSyncAgent v2.6.2.686 by the support tab of the current agent(v2.5.7.662) icon into the task tray.
But, the new version doesn't display Agent Icon in the task tray after the update.

This means we lose all the way we control new version.
In addition, when uninstalled, this uninstaller will delete all your data in MySync Folder on your PC.

I confirmed that this agent is doing download/upload jobs to ASUS servers(210.65.113.xxx) by Kaspersky network monitor.

Sep 22, I reported and requested immediate improvement of this issue to ASUS Cloud co. because This agent is just like the movement of ransomware itself!

However, I wrote this with caution because people all over the world can still get this new version.

The cheapest so far I've ever encounter. But it's kinda slow.

La aplicacion "Webstorage" es una porquería, actualizo un archivo en mi carpeta local y cuando quiere se sube a la nube, no puedo elegir que se actualice ya, y tengo otro ordenador para recibir el archivo con la actualización automática de "Webstorage" y no hay manera de que se actualice, cuando la aplicación quiere, se conecta y se actualiza, pero pueden pasar muchos minuto o incluso horas, no está la opción de decir "Actualiza ahora mismo", como es automático, solo es cuando quiere la aplicación.
No hay ningun teléfono de soporte o atención al cliente y menos en español.
Como ya he pagado me esperaré a que termine el año de suscripción y despues volveré a "Dropbox" o "Onedrive" que son mas serios.

The app "Webstorage" is crap, I update a file in my local folder and, when it wants, to be uploaded to the cloud, I can't choose to update it now, and I have another computer to receive the file with the automatic update of "Webstorage" and There is no way that it is updated, when the application wants, it connects and updates, but many minutes or even hours may pass, there is no option to say "Update right now", as it is automatic, it is only when the app want.
There is no phone number for support or customer service and less in Spanish.
As I have already paid I will wait for the end of the subscription year and then I will return to "Dropbox" or "Onedrive" which are more serious.

It worked very well at first, after less than 100 gigs were uploaded I immediately began to experience extremely slow and intermittent download and upload speeds. I can no longer upload at more than 5 MB/s. I want to leave the service, now I have 50 GB I want to get off the service and it will only download at 1 MB per second, and will often break or disconnect so I have to try redownloading from where it left off. There's no ability to resume the download. Will avoid like the plague in the future.

Well a real pain, I got 1 tera space, but ausus web storage automatically cancelled a few folders, form my pc, no way for setting 1 pc as client, no client support, only stupid chat for commercial purposes. No contacts with client services.

Cheap and rubish. I used the server with the application 2 years ago. I looking for a video from last year, I just checked right now on the server, I don't find it. The Automatic Saving doesn't save all of the files from the PC from the specified folder(!!!!), even it's from last year!!!! You can't watch the video directly on server, there is a possibility but the video doesn't start. Totally useless.

Hardware is good; Their software? not a good product.

ASUS WEBSTOREAGE SUCKS! They send you spam emails in your updates folder and if you unsubscribe, they will send you more spam. If you buy an ASUS computer, you will automaticly get an a account

bought it beliving i could backup my NAS. it wont even back up a 40mb folder without issue. i cant tell you how disgusted i am. after only 3 days i want a refund. no replys from there support email address.

got 500gb free for 30 days. All fails. trying to upload my 600mb file --> failed, file size limit for invidual files is 500mb. Trying to upload 420mb file --> failed, stuck forever. Trying to upload 768kb file --> failed first stuck forever, then succeeded. Trying to upload 16mb file ---> Success, but at extremely slow speed of 1mb/s (128kB/s) . I finally got my 512mb file uploaded in parts in two days of trying. I cannot use(fill) more than about 5 to 10 gigabytes in that 30 days better to use something like google or mega or dropbox

Update:My free space have not gone away. I asked why from the Lucy bot. there was a warning that if I use too much space 120days after the space expires they delete all my files. I went under the "normal" limits, but I still have even after weeks the empty space. It seems that they simply don't care

I have bought a storage in Asuswebstorage expecting that it had a working linux client, without checking it first, and ofcourse expecting that had a minimum in quality being from ASUS (after bought it I startet to question if its indeed a ASUS storage). There is no response from support, or even a ease way to find it. The majority of the website is in chinese. As a sysadmin in a middle size company, what I can say about this storage is that, its the worst storage I have ever used compared with far superior services like mega.nz. A complete crap...

I can't complain about their customer support response as I received an email back from them in less than 12 hours. That being said, I believe it has taken upwards of six hours to sync (upload) 333 Mb of data. I have 68.8 Gb currently in my sync folder "awaiting" synchronization. So that will take approximately 51 days to upload assuming that all goes well, which it did not after pausing the program the first time. On resuming, the program indicated that my synchronization was complete. I shut the program down and tried again. Then about 12 hours after that first pause, it suddenly starts working again, but at these very slow speeds. I was hoping that this would be like Dropbox (all of the features seemed to indicate that it would be). I can't imagine trying to work with these files and having them synced in real time. I'm beginning to think that cloud storage of any significant data size is kind of useless unless you have a T1 line (and even then, I don't think that ASUS WebStorage would work to any kind of satisfactory level). I will just chaulk up my $14.00 for 1 Tb for a year to the price of another lesson learned.

Very bad non-storage site
It is simply impossible to reliably upload files.
Only a few of the indicated files are uploaded, and the great majority, also after many hours wait, is not.
Spend your money on better things.

File upload continuously fails on all platforms (phone application, PC website, etc.). Generally after several attempts to upload a folder it succeeds but in some cases it always fail. The failures are random, it is "normal" if at first attempt it fails on file A but at second attempt it succeeds and fails on file B. Totally unusable and its not the storage that you can rely on. The customer support is slow, maybe due to the amount of problems they face.
I strongly recommend to avoid this cloud storage!

Hate it - lost nearly 2 years of data. They will not talk to me, hopeless and regret the day I ever started with them !

ASUS laptop is very good, but this ASUS Webstorage is PATHETIC, IT does not work and no assistance after multiple emails to their Support Centre. DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT SIGNING UP FOR THIS RUBBISH!!! "NO STAR"" ratings should be available for products such as this.

Prepare to lose your files if you decide to use their sync app. Abomination.
