Awful - Jonathon Tores - scam!
When I politely explained that I couldn't afford to pay for their publishing deal (And that theirs was the most expensive I'd gotten) he told me I'd never get published and hung up on me. Then I called another employee and told them what happened, she just tried to get me to do a deal with them too. Their customer service man I got through to was seemingly so fed up of his job. I got told Id be contacted by their manager to make my complaint - I haven't. I've scorched their 'reputation' online and got a response saying they'll deal with his manager, but ultimately this entire company is one big scam. Do not do it!!!!

Disgust
I have already sent an email to Dana Scot that will explain my disgust with Author House. If matters are not corrected I will never use the company to publish my books. I had a third book I was going to submit, but now I feel never again.

Author House was Great!
The entire Author House staff was very helpful and cooperative. From Eve, to Lou and others in the marketing department, all helped me get my book published!
“ THE QUEST FOR TRUTH; Come Now And Let Us Reason Together,..”
AuthorHouse is a very professional , well organized, dedicated publishing company. I recommend them to everyone !
They are still selling my book, without giving me any access.
These people took a lot of my money, and did not achieve any level of success or publicity.
After I had terminated my contract, and proceeded with the process of unpublishing they are still selling my book online without giving me any access. If you do a search for '3 Magic Dreams by Matt Bolton Art' this is the book.
They have made it impossible to access any of the meager royalties publishing with them had achieved.
Generally, better can be done.
Generally, it appears that everyone wants to help. However, there seems not be effective communication between the different services. Also, as expected, I guess, there is pressure to buy the offered products.
AuthorHouse was a very good choce.
AuthorHouse has done well through Covid crisis and like all companies has employment and employee problems. That said the beginning went quite easily, and the price was competitive. The end product was all that I could have expected. The middle was rough, but workable, and the staff was responsive.
Thank You
Time for Honesty
What makes people try to tarnish a company's reputation? If people believed everything they read, no one would be publishing their books with Authorhouse. My experience with Authorhouse is the exact opposite of what I read about them on the Web. Let me tell you why I am a published Author with this very unique company.
About 14 years ago, I purchased two book publishing packages at Authorhouse. Shortly after I got writer's block. I could finish neither book, which delayed getting them published. I would check in over the Years to let.the Consultants know I am still working.on the books. During this time I had four Check in Coordinators. Each encouraging me to work on my manuscripts. I was assigned my last Check in Coordinator, Eve Ardel about six years ago. She is the one who finally got me published. She was my inspiration. I was surprised that my account with this company was still open and active. They are honest. This young lady, listened to my doubts about completing and being able to sell my books, and she would call me and encourage me to think positive, and that Authorhouse is behind me. Realizing how patient the Authorhouse staff.had been with me, and how they all were encouraging me to get published, was what made me get busy at my computer.
My first book was published by Authorhouse on June 21, 2023. I am so thrilled to have them publish my book. It is more than I could have dreamed it would be..They are Perfectionists. And the beautiful cover, sells the book. A few weeks ago, my second book was published. Same professionalism. I have seen the books published by many self publishing companies. My books are phenomenal.
Authorhouse stands with their Authors, and their goal is to help you produce your best book. I have told you my Truths. It.is time all negative reviews about this marvelous company is removed.

I don’t feel supported as a first time…
I don’t feel supported as a first time author for overall exposure of my book. I felt rushed in beginning when it came to publishing my book with a promise of top 10 sellers if getting editing done with 24-48 hours of weekend. I had to reach out for receiving copies of my books and still have not received follow up about the status of website and marketing of book

I am, however pleased with the printed publication, but the support is not there for us.
It is important for the people to know about our experience so they can get published.
This is an amazing experience for me, I appreciate it.

Please return my phone calls. Also, I was told you would do a Facebook page for me, included in my package. I haven’t received any information about this Facebook page or information on my sales. It is apparent once you got my money, you’re unavailable.

How to make the best out of your AuthorHouse publication experienceLike any adventure
Like any publishing adventure, the vision of the author and the implementation of that vision by the publishing company might not always be in line with each other. My problem was exacerbated by the fact that the original AuthorHouse rep who sold me the publishing program left the company after my manuscript was handed off to the line editor and the design rep. Although a bit frustrating at first, my reps ultimately were very understanding concerning the additions to the original contract that my wife and I had negotiated. It helped, I believe that my wife and I both kept our notes from our original discussion and contract signing. The line editor, design consultant, and production manager were easy to work with and came up with a book that definitely had my approval. I will try to learn how to use facebook, instagram, and texting to promote my book. I am anxious to work with the rep in adding reader responses into the website. I have been advised that I don't have much worry about exceeding my data limit. thank you AuthorHouse! Can't wait for my reviews that hopefully I can incorporate into my promotions. I am happy with my book. My final assessment will be either a 4 or 5 depending on the support I get from the marketing team.
