Buyer beware
I took out a policy on line on a Sunday, but had to cancel it on following day. After holding for 11 minutes (as you couldn’t cancel on line) I finally got to speak to a human. I got charged £40 for the privilege.

As a broker we apply administration fees to cover costs incurred as a result of arranging and administering policies. The cost includes staff resource, updating insurers, and the issuing of documentation if required. The administration fee is a flat fee, regardless of when the policy is being cancelled. We do regularly review our fees, and we feel they are in line with the wider insurance market.

Helpful, understanding and efficient
I took out car insurance with this company at the same time as my old insurance auto-renewed (guess who forgot to cancel that?)... So had to cancel this one. The cancellation process was very easy, the colleague who spoke to me was friendly, understanding and very helpful and efficient; my cancellation was processed immediately, and I was informed of all steps. I highly recommend this company based upon my experience.
