Too many duplicate emails an texts

All responses except for one were scammers trying to steal my money. Tired of wasting my time on this platform.

If have tried two separate times and both were a complete waste of time and money. On both I never had one good lead. I only had low ball offers from dealers and lots of scammers. So incredibly frustrating! Don’t waste your time and money. I’ll never use the again.

It was easy and straightforward. I’d use auto trader again.

My experience was very painless. I saw the car that I wanted, emailed the seller requesting a test drive, which was scheduled later that same day. I drove it, and told her I would buy it. Went home and purchased it through the platform, and within a few hours I had temporary registration tags, and the car is now mine!

I only received scam messages during the two months my vehicle was listed.
And the Auto Trader Cash Offers? An absolute insult. The algorithm for the offer doesn’t scan for any info in the offer. I received a cash offer that’s lower than KBB advertises. Insulting. $28,000 for a $50,000 vehicle? Screw off. I’ll be using competitor sites going forward.

Auto trader takes all the paperwork & worries out of payment out of the process. It allows you to communicate with potential buyers without having to give up your personal information! I’ve sold 2 autos this way. One word of warning you will be contacted by bots or tscammers asking you to contact them outside of the Autotrader app. I recommend telling them you will only communicate inside the app. If they are phishing you won’t hear back from them. Otherwise the experience was great !! Autotrader does all the paperwork , verifies that the buyers check clears, for a very reasonable fee! Highly recommend this method of selling your car!!!

Complete waste trying to sell a car through Autotrader. Received only scammer inquiries, nothing legit. Then autotrader sends a message with a low-ball offer $10k less than asking price. The Private Seller Exchange is a total sham. You pay $49 for a listing only to spend your time blocking and reporting scammers. Autotrader promises "verified" buyers but it's all a hoax.

Poor communication, etc.. I have used them over the years rather easily... Posted an ad this time its for 180 ($49) fixed rate. The ad did not post in 24 hours like in the past. The email/site later implied they would charge me extra to sell the car (0.99% of value) and they would handle the sale. I never saw this when I placed the ad and never inthe past used this. I like to deal with buyers direct. AT told me I could in a latter email after i sent them a message. Days later the ad still not post and I had to reach out again (call).. they sent me to an agent and they sent email wanting a title to verify ownership. I did NOT send it (clean title) as I did not feel safe and I know they can verify ownership other ways and not sure why they needed it now. Feels like a scam to me. And why did I have to reach out to call to ask why my ad was NOT posted days later.... just poor communication. I told them to cancel the ad and refund my fee to my card.

Bought a car on auto trade private exchange.Would never ever do that again car was delivered from Georgia.Car was delivered dead battery engine light on had to get towed to the dealer now they are telling me the eco I s bad.Horrible experience.10 k down the drain plus the shipping costs.Trust me I get it Don't buy a car without being the car!!!!!

Customer service was professional, knowledgeable, friendly and prompt. I give four stars instead of five due to the high volume of scammers that had to be dealt with. I almost gave up on the process and withdrew my ad due to the frustration of having to deal with the barrage of scammers.

Waste of time and money. Don't even bother at all. Every contact was from someone scammy going outside the rules and asking me to contact them personally. Just use local FB marketplace and skip this site.

They actually call you to make sure everything is corrrct

I have been contacted several by “buyers”. Every single one a scammer. They have no control of their private seller section. Do not waste your money listing on this site.

Auto Trader made the entire process very easy, well worth the money.

This was my first experience buying a car online and it couldn’t have been any better. Everything was explained and when I had questions I called Autotrader and spoke to a person. I would highly recommend Autotrader.

made an ad 23 days ago. zero leads. description not categorized correctly. cant get any proper customer support, after a dozen emails they say it is live "as in i can access it from my portal" but it is not searchable... waste of money and time.
