Ad listing did not go live. No response in request to refund ad promotion fee. Completed the process with creating ad, uploading pictures and opting to pay for ad promotion of $50.00. At very last step to enable ad to go live "Buyer and seller safety is AutoTrader's highest priority. Your listing is still being reviewed to make sure it fulfills our trust criteria. In exceptional cases, this can take up to 24 hours" Initially, waited 24 hours and ad did not go live. No response from customer service to enable ad. After two days with no response, I was disappointed credit card was charged, ad was not live and the "paid" boost was counting down. At this point requested a full refund of the paid ad boost, since ad was not live but we have now counted down and almost at zero days with ad never going live. It took a total of 6 weeks before customer service reached out and they did eventually refund the paid service that was never in use.

The process was very simple. Easy to navigate.

Great way to sell or purchase a vehicle. Very safe and secure. Uncomplicated and reasonable.

I repeat do not waste your money on this scam site. I posted a vehicle for sale in June. 100 percent of the responses to my ad were fraud and they only caught three. They do nothing to verify that buyers are real even though it's apparent there fake. What a waste of money. I called customer service and they said they are working on that. Guaranteed that is a flat out lie. Once they get your money they don't care.

The checklist was helpful and organized. I felt confident in the sale process and completing the sale. My only issue was the app and messaging system not loading properly on Friday for 3-4 hours.

I was surprised how many inquiries I received that felt off, and violated the platform's policies. With patience, the right buyer came along. Finalizing the purchase wasn't as straightforward as it sounded, and the customer support team was very helpful in sorting through and guiding both the buyer and myself. It sure was easier than financial transactions at a dealership, plus I appreciate the peace of mind as a seller the PSE offers.

Complete waste of your time and money. I've gotten nothing but scammer messages only. Really nice car really good price and only messages about 20 of them are all scammers. Not one real person. This is a complete scam itself and Autotrader is just taking your money knowing you're going to get nothing but scammers. They should be banned and their business closed.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. I got contacted by nothing but scammers. Not one real person contacted me for my vehicle. Total waste of $49. I will never list again with auto trader.

They made it super easy, & protected me against fraud. there private seller exchange is the best way to sell a auto on your own.

First time going through PSX and I was really pleased in how quick & efficient things went! I called customer service a few times to understand timing & next steps, and everyone was super helpful!

The transaction was very easy for me through auto trader. They did everything step-by-step. It made it real simple for me and the buyer .

Buyer had the car shipped, already has the car and I am STILL NOT PAID. They want me to complete the sales packet including signing the title over or I will get fined, but I can't do that as the car needs paid off, and they STILL HAVE NOT PAID ME. Avoid this service like the plague. Not to mention their messaging system is filled with bots trying to steal personal identification and information.

As a seller, Autotrader is completely overrun by scammers and bots. Don’t waste your time and money trying to sell your car on this site. All you’ll do is receive scam messages. Autotrader Customer Service response is pretty much “oh well”

I appreciated the process and secure transfer of payment. I think the service is a good value and well thought-out. I didn’t, however, like the fact that the website made it very difficult for me, the buyer, to understand the specific details step by step. Make an offer, pay, and you’re done isn’t enough information for me as a first-time user of AutoTrader. I had to make a phone call to ask specific questions to feel comfortable with completing the transaction. Once that was done, I felt more comfortable. I like the car very much, and it was out of state, so AutoTrader helped me make the connection. Thank you.

I placed an ad to sell a car and received 10 prospective buyers NONE of which were verified and ALL were bogus scammers. I had ZERO legitimate buyers contact me.
I want my money back!
