Absolute Beginner to Competent Drone Pilot!
From being a complete beginner to now being proficient, qualified and confident to fly a Drone in a week with AV8 has been amazing. The staff for the virtual classroom sections were unbelievably knowledgeable and helped me understand and use the resources to not only complete the modules but to use in real life flight planning. Theory out of the way and the actual flying of a variety of drones was daunting at first then as confidence grew it was brilliant. Our Flying Instructor is an expert and his knowledge and experience makes him the consummate professional. His advice and trust put everyone at ease and in turn more confident. The whole course was very well executed and exciting from start to finish. I would highly recommend to anyone wishing to fly Drones, for pleasure or commercial ventures, to attend this AV8 course and open up their potential by becoming a CAA recognised Drone Pilot.

Drone Pilot GVC & L4 Diploma
Really well delivered training. Quick feedback on assessments and easy to navigate online learning platform.
It would be useful to have completed examples of good practice planning to help set the standard required, but this is a minor point.
The only real negative was the requirement to use ProctorU for the theory assessment - this was a total nightmare with the whole process taking almost two hours with multiple support calls just to get to the assessment - I realise this is not really in AV8's control though.
Overall, a great training experience.

Two hours is not at all reasonable (its usually only 10 minutes or so to get set up) - I've flagged it to our account manager there for review and asked them to explain what went wrong.
Thanks also for your suggestion of some completed flight planning examples; we're going to create some and add to the module to help future students.

Av8 Drone Qualification A2 CofC…
Av8 provided my training for A2 CofC drone qualification. The course content is clear and concise. I took my time to learn the syllabus thoroughly so the 12 month access suited me (you also get access for 12 months after qualification too). However many complete the course in a much shorter period - its all flexible so you can do it one day if you're up to it!
The highlight for me though was the prompt sympathetic support - nothing was too much trouble - I highly recommend this course.

Excellent course, highly recommended
For personal reasons it took me a long time to get round to doing my A2 CofC training and exam after initially ordering it. But all the way through, the AV8 team have been supportive, helpful, friendly and encouraging. I am so glad I chose AV8, I finally took and passed the exam with a score of 100% thanks in no small part to their excellent knowledge checks that accompany each training module. I highly recommend using AV8 if you want to take and pass the A2 CofC exam, their excellent course material will put you in the best possible position to not only pass, but also be a superior UA flyer.

AV8 GVC drone training
AV8 has put together an excellent GVC training package, which provides ample knowledge and skills to get up and running as a professional drone operator. The on-line training packages were stimulating, could be studied flexibly and contained plenty of helpful links that are useful for future use. The on-line training subsequently linked well with the virtual classroom and practical drone operating phases, which were demanding but provided abundant professional tips, adding value well beyond just the core syllabus. Latterly, AV8's software made the initially daunting process of preparing an Operations Manual for the CAA straightforward and the support team were invariably prompt to review coursework and answer any questions throughout the training. Perhaps inevitably there were one or two IT connectivity issues during the course, but these were overcome swiftly and did not detract from the training. By far my overall impression of AV8 is that its training hits the mark, is delivered professionally and - just as importantly - enjoyably.

AV8 really are great!!
I spent ages researching different companies to take my CofCA2 course and found AV8 to be one of the most professional but least intimidating. Well written out course that was easy to follow. Would definitely recommend taking the mock exams after each module. I did each one 3 times and I think this is what helped me past with a 97% mark!!! The people at AV8 are always on hand to help. Special thanks to Jon for your extra time. Very helpful.

AV8 was the right choice for me
AV8 was the right choice for me, from start to finish of my A2 c of c. The course content was very interesting, the flexibility of being able to learn at my own pace and especially the back up and support they offer.
I was so pleased with AV8 I then went on to do my GVC and passed, even now I can still log into my account and still receive backup and support if required.
AV8 absolutely fantastic & no1 choice 👌

Excellent A2 CofC with A8
I’ve just completed my A2 CofC with AV8 and highly recommend this company. All the training is delivered via their online service, which takes you through each module of the course via slides & video content with quizzes to check on your progress at the end of each module. If you need any additional help at any point you can have one to one contact with a training advisor.

Well run and structured, AV8 Flight School
I am new to the drone scene and having had to get certification to fly my drone, AV8 School came up in my Facebook which a few schools were promoting their courses.
I found AV8 School to be a source of information and guidance when I found myself in a sticky spot, and they were very helpful in answering my questions, banal or not. They said it is part of the service.
The course was well designed, and very easy to navigate. The modules were designed to educate you and to test your knowledge before the final exam. There are other resources on the website which you would find useful even if they might not be needed at all.
I passed first time, and that's coming from someone who last did an exam over 15 years ago!!
Overall, a great value product.

Aftercare follow up review!
Having already reviewed a great experience with these guys. I feel I need to get an important follow up piece of information out there too. I've just recently renewed my DMARES, for the 5yrs. Jon Anderson, very kindly, updated this information onto my A2 CofC Certificate. I received a new PDF Certificate, and all updates went into my E-Wallet also. Jon was very prompt, and efficient with this update at no extra cost. That is aftercare!
