AV8 very helpful and knowledgeable
The AV8 staff and instructors were very knowledgeable, helpful, patient and always happy to answer queries. The course material is thorough and informative. Being able to work through the training to one's own schedule is very convenient.
One improvement would be for participants to have one clear timeline/ordered list of the many training steps at the start (although I may just have been confused by the PfCO - VLOS change of legislation part way through my course, which won't be a problem for others).

After the initial woes of setting up my system to allow the Av8 course to proceed, it all worked quite well. Content was good, and well planned. Still not happy that I had to allow total access to my computer to a third party, in order to carry out the exam. I appreciate the need for security and complete transparency whilst doing the exam though. Must be a better way !
The possibility of being hacked, afterwards, has of course increased.

good course
Very good course, but the proctor assessment was a pain in the backside to set-up. The software you need to run it, doesn’t work with TalkTalk isp.
As for the course content, it was ok, but being assessed on different types of fog seems largely pointless. If it’s foggy, maybe don’t fly🙄

I'm really grateful for the feedback Richard, it's one of the reasons we've just pushed through a new resource overnight tonight (Exam Central) that provides information, help and troubleshooting support specifically for exams.
The TalkTalk issue was a new one for us, but we've found the cause and now have a specific section devoted to it explaining the steps needed to resolve it. I'm sorry it wasn't available to you for your exam, but your feedback has meant we've been able to resolve it for current and future students.

Minor points: on the principles of flight bit some of the exam/test questions were on material not mentioned in the lesson... vortex ring effect, systems like Magnetometer, IMU etc. ,,, no problem as I am familiar with all, but a shame. I thought the met explanations a little creaky, but again, no problem for me.
I would think a reference text/notes in hard copy would be popular... maybe to buy as an extra?
On the whole very happy and good value for money. Thank you very much.
