Good staff and helpful

I’ve been using avs for over 20 years. Everyone is always positive & polite. Only thing that lets them down is taken coffee machine away. lol,

I’ve used AVS for nearly 2 decades and they have always gone above and beyond, the staff are very personable and the materials are always spot on.
The yards men are a good craic.
I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Materials turned up promptly as agreed. Very competitive prices and good quality.

Always extremely friendly. Guys on the desk, (B & J) have always been extremely kind and helpful and it feels like you know them when you walk through the door or make a phone call. And, they'll always get back to you when they say they will come back to you regards pricing/delivery.
And the guys on the yard are always happy to help in any way they can to get you loaded etc.

Excellent prices and service, as we have come to expect from AVS. This job was a little different, as the order was placed with the Rudgwick branch, but was fulfilled by their Lewes branch, which was closer to the delivery address. But as always, no problems. A first drop was requested on this delivery and they didn't let us down, being on site at 8.30 sharp. Our customer is very happy with the quality of the materials, so AVS's customer, that's us, is too. Keep up the good work.

After contacting a timber merchants that we've all heard off. I enquired about some prices and was told that they would get back to me. Two days later after not hearing anything, I phoned back to see what I was still waiting for. The chap said that he was glad that I phoned back because he'd lost my contact details. For me like alot of people, I will not beg any company to take my business, so I was already unhappy with the lack of professional basic customer service. He gave me the prices assuring me that he was doing me a favour....another red flag. He was vague when questions were asked etc.
My mum who lives near Lewes suggested AVS. I called them, spoke to a wonderful lady who answered all of my questions, clearly listening to her customers. I felt at ease after my call. Immediately I ordered my feather edge etc online and placed my order. A couple of days before delivery I received a call from AVS telling me that they don't have the batten in stock but again the lady who I spoke to previously said that a wider substitute of batten was in stock, and I could have bit more for the same price. As it turned out the size was much better for the project, so thank you for that. Also a shout out to Vinny, thanks for the gloves and prompt delivery.
Thanks for everything from all of you guys and girls. Brilliant products. Brilliant company. I will definately use them again next year for my decking project. A massive thumbs up....good job. Pleasure dealing with you.

I just want to thank AVS for the delivery today and for the excellent service throughout by Beverleigh Dale from the Lewes branch in fulfilling my online order. The goods delivered were first rate, and the driver was courteous and helpful. I will definite use AVS again and will recommend to anyone in future.

The company advertise online a trellis panel 1800 x 1200 for just over £32. On driving over there and requesting three of the panels we were told that they don’t sell them. Why are these advertised by AVS on their website if AVS don’t sell them? We were forced to buy more expensive panels at just over £41 each. Disappointed, also angry at having to pay an extra £27.

First class communication. I had 2 emails, a follow up phone call to confirm date of delivery from Beverley & the driver, Vinnie, called to let me know he was on the way with my order.
Ordering online was easy, prices very competitive.
Very happy that I found AVS & also to be able to use a local company.

I made an appointment with Beverley. She was knowledgeable and efficient. Excellent customer service received, thank you Beverley, a credit to AVS..

Always efficient and friendly

Found product on AVS website, tried to order online but i was told that they do not deliver to my address, Mayfield which is approx 10-15 miles away. Went into local Branch (Ringmer) to see if this was correct only to be told "no problem mate, Mayfield is fine" Then i wanted to look at product so after looking for 10 minutes with the Yardsman i was told that we dont actually have any at this branch, there at our Wokingham branch.
So i enquired that if i order 10 of the product what is the expected delivery time!!!
Well at 1st i was told that they dont get deliveries that often form that branch then i was told at a guess it would be at least 3 weeks as that is how long they have been waiting for the last delivery of said product!!!
How can anyone work to a schedule if you cant get a delivery date!!!
For a near £300 order i would expect all the stops to be pulled out but NO, Avs can clearly afford to turn away a substantial order!!!!
Time will tell, maybe 12 to 18 months i give that branch till closure!!!
SHAME...............
UPDATE 22.9.23
So after the reply from AVS I forwarded the requested details and as of today I have not had a reply.
So I would like to change my prediction to less than 12 months till closure.

I asked to be contacted prior to delivery with the date and was not, I was however contacted to check what I had ordered as all my selection was green timber except for the arris rails, which was a mistake by me. This was duley changed to green, so well done on this spot. Some of the timbers were well bent, but as I had ordered over sized timbers to allow flexibility on site, the worse of the warp could be list. Apart from the wrapped pieces overall quality was very good.
