Great Service

They've been consistently reliable for years. I think the Platform has gotten easier to use over the years, but they are always adding to it. Happy with their services, and would recommend them.

It used to be a good email marketing…

It used to be a good email marketing platform. However, recent experiences with numerous disservices over the past few weeks have led me to no longer recommend it.

They're putting new accounts on quarantine without any notification or explanation!

Importing customer lists has become a nightmare!

There are better alternatives available, such as Active Campaign and Mailchimp.

Still taking my money after account closure

After 'improvements' to their system in the spring of 2023, much of what I relied on to run my mailing campaigns no longer worked. Complaints were heard, but not acted on. It took a further six months or so until I had to the time to change my multiple lists to a different and hopefully better bulk email provider, during which time I continued to pay the monthly charge. I had asked for a discount to reflect the degraded level of service, but this was refused.
Anyway, I finally transferred all my data out of the system and asked for the account to be closed. The system said this would be acted upon within one working day.
Now, a week later, they have billed me the usual sum for the coming month.
I was a client for around ten years, and would still be but for the 'improvements' that broke my business model. Aweber might be a good fit for many people still, but if they can't get a simple thing like closing an account right, it's not a good sign.

Intuitive and powerful email marketing…

Intuitive and powerful email marketing platform with everything I need now and in the future. I’ve been running email marketing campaigns on AWeber for about 1 year now. Incredibly easy migration. Easy to navigate interface. Powerful segmentation and automation. Increasing capabilities - new AI features and constant improvement . Integrates seamlessly into my site and other tools I use. Super cost effective - fair pricing. Really happy with this decision.

Account terminated within minutes then told no refund!!

I registered, completed all necessary forms with our company information, and uploaded our buyer contact list.

After paying the $30 starting fee, my account was terminated within five minutes.

While I understand account termination may sometimes occur, what is unacceptable is receiving this response when I requested a refund for services that were not rendered.

"Hello,

Accounts that have been closed for not adhering to AWeber's Service Agreement will not be eligible for any refund. No refund will be provided regarding the account.

So you're telling me you banned our account within minutes and we're not eligible for a refund?

According to the chargeback guidelines for visa transactions, this situation falls under 'services not provided by the merchant.' Therefore, I expect a refund following this review. If this is not resolved, I will initiate a chargeback through my bank and file formal complaints in all relevant jurisdictions where your company operates.

This company has gotten so paranoid and…

This company has gotten so paranoid and is banning anyone who breathes on their account.

I am trust trying to import my customers (who have already double opt-ed in and agreed to get order updates.)

They are deeming the contacts suspicious which is a total joke.

They are going to put themselves out of business if they are so paranoid of their customers data.

My experience with AWeber has been terrible

My experience with AWeber has been deeply disappointing. Their service feels robotic, with impersonal customer support. Terrible service

The real problem, though, lies in their misleading pricing. They advertise an affordable starting rate, but once you're on board, hidden fees and sudden price increases hit you for more subscribers. You have to chase customer support to give you their pricing, making it hard to budget effectively. In summary, AWeber's abysmal customer service and misleading pricing practices make it an unsuitable choice for email marketing. Look elsewhere for transparency and better customer care.

Absolutely appalling service

Absolutely appalling service, signed up and was happy with landing pages etc, just starting out as an affiliate marketer, uploaded my list of email contacts from different sources, paid to upgrade my account and within 2 hours of sending an email account was closed and denied refund, they market themselves offering FREE EMAIL MARKETING SOFTWARE then shut your account for MARKETING.
Contacted the live chat and was polite and asked about a refund, he says another department is dealing with my account so I start typing another question and he ENDS THE CHAT, Absolutely disgusted and fuming with this

Disappointing Experience with Aweber's Email Autoresponder

I recently had a disappointing experience with Aweber's email autoresponder, and I feel compelled to share my concerns. While Aweber is a well-known name in the email marketing industry, my encounter with their autoresponder fell short of expectations.
One of the major drawbacks I encountered was the user interface. Navigating through Aweber's platform felt clunky and unintuitive. The process of creating and managing autoresponder sequences was unnecessarily complicated, requiring numerous steps and a steep learning curve. This lack of user-friendliness hindered my productivity and made the entire experience frustrating.
Additionally, I found the automation features of Aweber's autoresponder to be limited and lacking in flexibility. Customization options were restrictive, making it challenging to tailor autoresponder sequences to meet specific needs. This lack of versatility significantly hindered my ability to create personalized and engaging automated email campaigns.
Furthermore, I encountered deliverability issues with Aweber's autoresponder. Despite following best practices and ensuring the quality of my email content, a significant number of emails ended up in recipients' spam folders or were not delivered at all. This greatly impacted the effectiveness of my email campaigns and undermined the trust and engagement with my subscribers.
Another concerning aspect was the customer support provided by Aweber. When I reached out for assistance with the aforementioned issues, I experienced delays in response times and found the support agents to be unhelpful in resolving my concerns effectively. This lack of prompt and satisfactory customer support further added to my frustration and dissatisfaction with the service.
Considering these shortcomings, I am disappointed with my experience using Aweber's email autoresponder. The clunky interface, limited automation capabilities, deliverability issues, and subpar customer support hindered my ability to achieve the desired results from my email marketing efforts. I would caution others to carefully evaluate alternative options before committing to Aweber for their autoresponder needs.

If I could give 0 stars

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I recently wrote to this company, reporting abuse. Someone had literally harvested all the email addresses from my workplace and put us all on their mailing list. I raised the issue of spam which this company claims to have a zero intolerance policy of…and I’ve heard NOTHING. Not even an auto response email to say they got the complaint or that they’ll look in to it. Which basically makes them virtue signallers of the first order. You can’t claim, publicly that are on the side of someone who’s been spammed if you can’t even get it together to let that person know they’ve been heard.

AWeber Affiliate Scam

I am a former AWeber Advocate. I have worked with many companies over the last 10+ years and I have never been treated so badly.

They say you can get "lifetime" recurring commissions. It really means temporary. They can cut you off whenever they want for whatever reason. Don't believe me? Just look it up in their terms. They put "lifetime" on their main pages, but hide that they can ban you whenever they want and for whatever reason they want inside their terms. They also specifically say you can place your link "anywhere". It sounds so good to lure affiliates in, but it turns out to be false advertising. They tell advocates to just follow their section 8 in the terms, which I went through carefully. I never violated their terms that I am aware of. I never sent a single spam email, never used PPC search engine traffic, never targeted their keywords, etc... Nothing black-hat at all. I sent quality traffic. I referred 35 trial signups in about a week or so. This seemed to be too much too fast for them and I received an email from Connor saying my Advocate account was on hold until he got more information about how I was promoting AWeber. I replied back fast. And then so did he. I gave him details and never heard back from him. I emailed a reminder to him and I patiently waited days and still nothing. Then I finally emailed support about it. They looked into it and I was told "Our Best Practices team has thoroughly reviewed the account and the review has resulted in the closure of your Advocate account. In order to protect the integrity of our network, we are not able to disclose information on the specifics of the review.". So they closed my account without even telling me it was closed and gave no reason at all! I never even asked for specifics. A simple reply back from Connor with a reason would have been the least they could do. Like "You violated X term in our advocate terms" or something like that.

This is what AWeber calls "lifetime". It's a joke. This is the thanks I get for promoting them. I thought this would be a win-win relationship for both parties. I still do not know what I did wrong or how they could possibly not want me as an advocate. If you want to promote them and be banned at any time, choose AWeber.

Worst experience ever

Worst experience ever. Was permanently banned immediately after registration with no reason stated. I guess they ban people based on the IP address, or name or just their mood? I didn't even send any emails. The communication was rude and not informative. Luckily there are plenty of alternatives.

Great customer service

So I recently canceled my Aweber service because I migrated my business to an All-One marketing platform. So yes this is an ironic review.

No fault of Aweber though. Just cost effective for me.

Nonetheless I had requested a refund from Aweber for the last debit on my account and it was handled very professionally.

The customer service is really top class
