Had I read the reviews before buying…

Had I read the reviews before buying the bike I would not have bought it. The battery cuts out without warning on three bars. On the website customer support bit it says that it cuts out at two bars but the last two bars last twice as long. Rubbish it cuts out without warning leaving you effectively stranded with no lights or bell in the dark. Nowhere on their advertising do they mention this. Only when you experience this is it mentioned in the 'support' area. What is the point of having six bars? It falsely leads you to believe you have a longer range. It's dangerous as far as I am concerned and misleading. I do not recomend buying it. Invest in a better model and brand with gravitas. Buy cheap pay twice.

3 months and No Repair

3 months and No Repair
My wife's bike went to a dealer and for 3 months there has been minimal communication for Axon Rides. We believe that a cable is required , yet Axon Rides don't / won't respond to any communication channel.
Make your own mind up, but the quality of any company is how they deal with problems.

Absolutely shocking customer service, unreliable bike

Absolutely shocking customer service, unreliable bike. My bike has broken down for the second time in as many years and have not been able to have it repaired under warranty as I was considered at fault. I have now been trying to get it repaired for months going back and forth with Axon Rides, finally was told to book it in online only to receive an email this morning when it was due to be collected saying I am outside their boundary. Meanwhile, I am struggling to maintain my day to day routine. As a non driver I rely on my bike and have had to borrow a manual pushbike which has resulted in weight loss and exhaustion on my part. I am at my wits end as I basically have a £2000 door stop which I don't have the means to replace! It's not even 2 years old.

EDIT: Upon reading the company's response I would like to re-iterate that they told me to use Fix This Bike without saying anything about an M25 boundary and they have also told me I can't courier it to them as I did not retain the original packaging (2 years after purchase)! Surely you knew my address as you had sent me the incorrect part and have previously collected and repaired the bike for me also? Or should at least thought to mention the boundary issue?

It absolutely does not feel like your "team is dedicated to providing the best support possible for our customers and products". What a joke! Currently I'm £70 odd pounds out of pocket because you sent me an incorrect part and then advised and allowed me to book a collection service with an unsupported postcode and you are completely ignoring my requests for a refund. Your "support and service" partner have also ignored me since informing me I am outside of their boundary on the morning they were due to collect my bike.

Reply from Axonrides

We apologize for any inconvenience you've experienced. Our team is dedicated to providing the best support possible for our customers and products.

Regarding maintenance and repair service, we kindly ask customers to take their bikes to the nearest support center. However, we understand this may not always be convenient for everyone. To make it easier, we recently introduced a collection and delivery service for only £30 within the M25 area, as mentioned on Fix This Bike (our support & service partner) website.

Unfortunately, your postcode is outside the covered area. Therefore, we kindly request you to send or deliver your Axon to us so that we can provide the necessary service to get you back on the road as quickly as possible.

If there's anything else we can assist you with, please let us know.

Best regards,
Axon Rides Support Team

Do not buy

Do not buy! Dangerous!

Chain tensioner fault for months. Customer services blamed me(!) Bike is less than 6months old.

They came to check it, claimed it was fine, but it comes off every time I ride the bike more than 15 minutes. Put my foot down when the tensioner (again) came off leading to the chain cross threading the rear hub leading to whole bike seizing and spinning 180 degrees, nearly hitting a pedestrian. Could have been fatal accident if happened whilst riding in traffic.

Claimed I just need to “keep the bike clean”. Couldn’t tell you how fuming I am. £1710 is a joke. Death trap.

Customer services ignoring me. Sending in formal complaint and will take ALL THE WAY. To ombundsman if I have to. People need to know it’s dangerous.

I bought direct from Axonrides

I visited Fully Charged today and tried the Axon bike. I was very impressed with the design, but the best bit was when I started riding...the power kicks in flawlessly and it was so much fun! I arrived not needing an electric folding bike, and left having purchased one. Thank you to all the team, you were great!

Fabulous product

Fabulous product.
We test rode these at fully charged live and they were perfect for what we needed. They are to go in to our motor home so the fold up was a great option for us.
Service was fabulous through the whole process from purchase to delivery and after care. Would highly recommend.

Pilot perfect

If it's a compact electric bike you want, then this fits the bill. I fly a small light aircraft to various airfields across the UK and hopefully Europe next year. These bikes fold conveniently in the back and are lightweight. This extends our traveling range beyond airfields. The bikes have great range and are comfortable over reasonable distances. Perfect for pilots alike or comuters.

Highly recommended

I bought an axonride 2 weeks ago from a bike shop in London and I absolutely love it. I had a normal folding bike for 5 years and when I saw the change of trend in the street with every one going electric I decided to give it a try. The bike is light and easy to ride and the battery lasts for a long time even when going up hill. Folding and unfolding of the bike is simple and quick unlike my previous folding bike.
