Ever since the first viewing we've been impressed with the service we've received. Specifically, Joel, Jonathan and Charlie were well informed, cheerful and not at all pushy about the property we viewed. Since having our offer accepted, the service has continued to be excellent. Tony explained the details of the property extremely clearly and the whole team have made us feel incredibly reassured for the rest of the buying process.

My wife and I attended the launch weekend at the Bargate Homes Development in Shepherds Green. We were delighted with the courtesy and professionalism shown to us throughout our visit and special mention needs to go to Victoria for the Ambassadorial approach she demonstrated making our visit one that was both delightful, and very well informed.

I’m currently in the process of purchasing a property with Bargate Homes and have been very happy with the service so far. The whole team — Tony, Seth, Joel and Charlie — have been great, with Seth being our main point of contact he has been particularly helpful. Questions have been answered quickly and everything has felt well organised and professional. It’s been a very positive experience to date and I’m feeling confident about my purchase. Highly recommended.

Avoid Bargate Homes at All Costs!

I deeply regret choosing Bargate for my home purchase. Not only have I experienced a host of unbearable issues, but the customer service has also been nothing but dismissive and unprofessional.

First of all, upon handover, I discovered that the loft had absolutely zero insulation. This shocking negligence led to exorbitantly high energy bills, only for the issue to be uncovered during our mortgage survey by the bank! It’s unacceptable that a “reputable” home builder would be so careless about something as basic as insulation.

Secondly, the privacy in the garden is completely compromised. The houses outside the fence were built at an elevated level, which means we are constantly exposed. Upon complaining, Bargate’s solution was laughable—they put a trail and simply closed it. This issue remains unresolved, and my family’s privacy is still severely disrupted.

Thirdly, before I paid the token advance, I specifically asked if nearby houses outside the fence were going to remain at a distance, as I wanted privacy. I was reassured that the neighboring houses would not be built too close. However, when construction began, I saw how close these homes were to mine. When I raised this concern, their response was disgraceful, claiming that the brochure was just a "representation" and that the houses were being built as per the official plan. Completely misleading and unethical behavior!

Lastly, they outright lied about trees in our cul-de-sac. Before purchasing, Bargate assured us that the trees in front of our homes would NOT be removed. But, without notice, they were carelessly chopped down, ruining the privacy we were promised. When two of us homeowners voiced our concerns, their so-called customer manager was blatantly rude and completely unprofessional. This person is absolutely unfit for their role.

Overall, this has been a horrible and extremely stressful experience. If you're considering buying a home from Bargate, DON'T. I wouldn’t wish this experience on my worst enemy. Their incompetence, deceitful practices, and dismissive attitude towards customer concerns are reasons enough to steer clear.

This is the first time I am purchasing a house in the UK. Needless to say I have endless questions, uncertainties etc.

The small bespoke team at Bargate Homes (Heritage Place) is extremely patient and professional in all the support provided.

I am really pleased that I bought my house from this company. I cannot thank them enough for the support and help given by everyone, from the sales staff right through to completion and after sales care. Everyone has proved to be friendly, caring and helpful, responding to queries quickly and efficiently. The quality and finish of the build and attention to detail is plain to see and my house felt like home as soon as I moved in.

We recently bought a new build home with Bargate Homes and had a great experience overall. The house is modern, well finished, and clearly built to a high standard. The sales team were brilliant throughout the process, especially Maddie, Zoe, Tony, and Charlie, who were all friendly, approachable, and always happy to help with any questions we had. Communication was clear and the whole process felt smooth and well managed.
I would also like to mention the help and guidance that we received from Nina at Head Office, she really helped us with all our choices and was very helpful on completion day aswell. Any small issues are being dealt with, which we really appreciate. We’re very happy with our new home and would definitely recommend Bargate Homes to others.

Buying our first home with Bargate Homes Eastleigh has been a truly positive experience. From the very beginning, my wife, children, and I were warmly welcomed and guided through the entire process, right up to reservation and beyond. The service was friendly, clear, and very professional throughout. I would especially like to highlight Seth, whose approachable, honest, and supportive manner made us feel confident and comfortable at every stage. His friendly attitude played a huge part in our decision to buy. Tamsin and Joe also supported us significantly and were always helpful. Appreciate the service of those who are behind the scene. We’ve had a really positive experience with Bargate and their new build development Shepherd’s Green in Hordle, Lymington.
The service throughout the process was excellent, especially our dealings with Jonathan, he and the team were friendly, responsive, and helpful from start to finish.
The build quality of the home is very good, with a modern design and a solid.
What really stood out to us was the developer’s clear commitment to green values and sustainability. The energy-efficient features and overall ethos of the project made us feel confident we were choosing a home built with the future in mind. It’s refreshing to see a developer that genuinely cares about both quality and the environment.
Overall, a great experience and a development we would honestly and happily recommend.

We collected our keys today and honestly, it’s been a wonderful experience with the Bargate team, they made the whole journey feel so much easier than we ever expected.

This is the second house we have purchased from Bargate at Heritage Place. We were keen to move to a different sized home but wanted to remain on the same development. The quality of finish in the first house was perfect so we decided that the next home needs to be from Bargate.
Victoria and Jonathan helped me to secure the perfect plot initially and guided me through the process with regular weekly updates. Also new Sales Team at Heritage Place - Tony , Charlie and Seth are brilliant and helping with very smooth completion process. Nothing is ever the problem and communication is perfect. We are excited to get moved in before Christmas.

Helpful and friendly sales team. Our purchase took over a year as we bought the house off plan and they kept us fully informed all the way through. Would recommend a Bargate home and the sales team of Zoe, Maddie, Charlie and Tony.

Very early days, but I’ve been impressed with the speed of response to my initial query. Jonathon arranged for me to visit the site within a couple of days of my query, and spent time explaining the development, timescales and features of the properties. If I proceed to purchase, I feel confident I’ll be well looked after.

We first viewed a Bargate Home a year ago at Heritage Place Eastleigh and loved the house but not the location. We came away and looked at their future sites and one was located in Hordle which was called Shepherds Green in Hordle five mins from our current home .
We decided to go and talk with Victoria and Johnathon who are the sales team for Shepherds Green who were super helpful and helped us get the plot we wanted with a part exchange on our home .
Hordle is a lovely village close to the forest and the sea .
Bargate have also created a wonderful are of green space adjacent to the site
We have a meeting with Johnathon for the post reservation meeting followed by choosing our tiles, kitchen .

From my first visit to the Sales Office to moving in day and beyond the whole team of Tony, Zoe, Maddie and Charlie, have been a pleasure to deal with. I was kept fully informed throughout and they were suitably calming when needed! I am so pleased with my new home.

The sales team at Bargate were exceptional at every stage of buying our new home. We guided carefully through the purchase process, some minor issues have been resolved quickly and they have our highest recommendation.

We have only been in the property two weeks, but the sales team (Zoe, Maddie, Charlie and Tony) provided excellent communication throughout the buying process. They are a very friendly group and are happy to discuss and answer any questions. They were always happy to facilitate a revisit to the property whilst we were in the process of buying. With every new house, there are always hiccups, but the response from Bargate Homes has been great.
