Impossible to get a refund or replacement for a FAULTY BATTERY, just loads of eMails messing you up. I'll never deal with them again
Would avoid this company. My battery started leaking about 3 months after purchase. Despite a dialogue with their customer services apparently because the battery is such 'high quality' I must have da... See more

Rubbish company
I ordered a battery for my Nokia n8 phone from Battery megastore, but it came from foneshop at Witham. There were scratches on the casing, it was obviously secondhand. I tried it in the phone and it would not even charge up. I emailed the company, and have had no response. I returned the battery a week ago in the packaging provided, again, no response. I have now made a complaint with Paypal.
Avoid this company!
poor communication
I ordered a replacement battery for my Blackberry and my account was debited on the 25th: FonShop.com.
Since then, nothing has happened: order tracker checks show the same message:"your order is currently being processed and awaiting dispatch".
Calls to 08445568644 ring out;no-one answers.
Surely it can't take 4 days to post out a small mobile phone battery.
Has anyone else had similarly frustrating dealings with this company?
I see from 2 previous posts that a couple of people have.
What do you do if a company will not communicate? What redress does one have?
Having finally managed to speak to someone at the company,I am going to wait for a few more days: apparently the batteries are on order from Germany and should be delivered within the next week.
Problems with their email service have caused the lack of response to website enquiries.
The man I spoke to did offer the option of cancelling the order but I will give them the benefit of the doubt and wait until next week.
He was pleasant and reasonably helpful.
Not good enough
I bought a battery for my classic car in February . It failed in less than six weeks. Attempted to charge overnight. Still would not turn over the starter. Succeeded in getting car to my usual service garage by using jump leads. They tested battery and declared it a complete failure. A replacement was sourced and fitted. Contacted Battery Megastore of Tewkesbury re a refund. In spite of the fact that I have given them the name and telephone number of my garage they so far do not want to know. Given that this company trades on the internet they offer a very poor response when something goes wrong. I intend to take the matter up with trading standards. Why does this system not allow me to give no stars? At best they only deserve one, but I must give two as they do not appear to be malicious or rude - just very poor.
Great Service
I was in dire need of a battery urgently so ordered due to next day delivery, I did ask if it could be left with a neighbor as I had to leave for work at 12.00. When I came home and it hadn't been delivered I decided to read the reviews and some were horrendous, I immediately fired off an e mail to them only to find that from there reply it actually had been delivered and the only problem was the delivery driver never left a note at my house, I would not hesitate to use this company again. Great service and got exactly what i ordered.
In one word - Rubbish.
I needed a battery for my wifes car and I rang to order a new battery from this supplier.
I made three phone calls to ensure that I would get the correct battery and three times was assured that there was not a problem.
When the battery arrived it was too big and would not fitinto the battery compartment so it is having to be returned to Tewksbury today.
Moral of this story is - Make quite sure you are going to get what you asked for.
poor service poor testing
my battery let the wife down, the AA condemned it, Kwik fits computerised tester condemned it, battery mega do a very basic charge and discharge test they said it passed rubbish, don't buy on-line too much hassle
Avoid like the plague!
Had 2 faulty batteries replaced under the guarentee. When the 3rd one proved to be faulty they weren't interested. Terrible company to deal with. After sales service very poor. Tricky to deal with and very rude staff. Suggested my equipment was at fault. Have since bought another battery from reputable supplier and have had no problems with it.
Took money and never delivered.
They took my order and I waited for delivery. I called after 1 week and was told they do not deliver to my postcode and would return my money. Been 6 weeks now and no money has been returned. Wish I read these reviews first.
Not Recommended!
Faulty (as confirmed by my garage) battery supplied. A refund requested but refused. A replacment requires a further special testing at a garage plus copy of original invoice.
Not recommended. Suggest steer well clear!
They just charge your credit card and dissapear
I am talking abour their site "bateriasdeautomoviles.es" in Spain, which belongs to them.
I ordered the battery and the charged me. 48h later I had not received it, so I emailed them and called them by phone many times and they never answered me. I researched on the web and in Spain there are also many customers complaining about horrible service, and in the last months seems that they just accept orders but do not send the goods.
Many years buying online, and I've never seen something like this.
Returns difficult
I bought two golf batteries which arrived in good time however neither have worked properly, so I returned one which they deny all knowledge of receiving, & have been extremely unhelpful in trying to resove the problem - called me a liar twice. I have had to use Royal Mail to find out what has happened to my original return - doesn't help that the postcode on the email isn't the same as the one on the website. I now need to return the second battery will send signed for to make sure they receive it
No satisfaction here
I ordered two Varta car batteries for next day delivery. After four days - no batteries. When I asked I was told there were none in stock yet my payment had already been taken from PayPal. I was ofered other batteries for the same price only to discover that they were £18 each cheaper on Battery Megastores's own site. I really wanted Varta (for quality) and cancelled the order asking for a refund into my PayPal account. Then later they 'couldn't find' my details. After a total of 18 days plus threatening to use PayPal's recovery procedure I finally got my refund. Got the Varta batteries at my local motor factor - I should have gone there first.
battery megastore poor service
Very poor customer service. Am having to threaten legal action just to get action on battery that failed after 18 months. They almost deny all knowledge of the sale despite it being a credit card transaction, they try to hide behing terms and conditions and seem to take no notice of the Sale of Goods act. Would never use them again.
Very disappointed
I bought a battery from Battery-Megastore for my partners O2 motorola razor V3 and when fitted to the phone it came up with a message which said 'battery invalid'. I emailed the company saying this and they told me to return it and they would replace it which i did. They are now saying it hasn't been received!!!!! So i now have no battery and no refund.
