Long Delivery Times

Don’t be fooled by their local .co.uk domain. These guys are not UK based and shipping times are shocking.

I’ve been waiting 2 weeks for a replacement brush head for my Neato robot vacuum.

Evri have just received the package and we all know that it’s likely going to be another week before Evri get around to delivering the parcel.

This is why I typically order everything I can from Amazon. Reliable, fast delivery is important to the majority of shoppers.

The charged £6 for delivery which made me assume it was going to be relatively quick. Although the company doesn’t quote delivery times during the order, which should have been a red flag in itself.

The product eventually arrived and appears ann authentic Neato product and good quality. It’s just a shame the delivery times are so great because they’re not UK based.

I was searching online for replacement…

I was searching online for replacement batteries for a tool. I found that they were available from a few suppliers, but the tool is old and the replacement batteries are, perhaps for that reason, expensive. Finally I came to the BatteryUpgrade website and found exactly what I needed at half the price of others I'd seen. I did some research and found that BatteryUpgrade is a well reviewed and trusted business, so I placed an order. The shipping was very inexpensive, and I had the batteries in less than a week. I just wish their website would upgrade to translate every page, since they sell more than batteries and I would like to shop some more.

Batteri bestilt d. 19/03-24, pengene bliver trukket med det samme. Jeg har endnu ikke modtaget noget batteri.Hold jer langt væk!

I already asked your helpdesk, but they were unable to help, and they just gave me an answer that I couldn’t use. Please send the battery as soon as possible, or return my money as soon as possible.
… Or else I consider this webpage as a fake webpage that is trying to steal customers money.

Sent faulty item and will not refund

Sent faulty item and want me to pay for return postage. They should be sending a pre paid envelope. Also they make you believe they are a UK based company. The return is not in the UK and costs a fortune

In response to their reply to by review. They did not send me the wrong item, they sent me a faulty item. They also have said the max they will refund for postage is £10. The return postage is overseas so it’s going to cost a lot more than that. They obviously want me to return the faulty item, so they can do the same with another buyer - scam!!!

I have sent them an email with the return cost, still waiting for a reply to it.

I thought it was a NZ company so was a…

I thought it was a NZ company so was a little disappointed to find it was based in Holland. Saying that the battery for my robot vacuum turned up after 4 weeks and worked perfectly so overall I'm happy with how it all worked out.

Misleading Description

I bought an item described as '3x Makita BL1021B CXT batteries + charger (12 V, 1.5 Ah)"

This item arrived after about a week from The Netherlands even though the Battery Upgrade Website address is given as a .co.uk address.

The batteries are not Makita batteries but copies that look like they came out of a factory in ToyTown and the charger has a Euro plug making it useless. Since it's not permitted to return lithium batteries in the post I feel I wasted my money and that I was deliberately deceived by Battery Upgrade

UPDATE

I have received a full refund from Battery Upgrade who dealt with my complaint courteously and professionally. However, my original complaint still stands since the batteries I purchased were not correctly described.

That battery set is indeed not an original Makita set; it is manufactured by our own house brand. All our OEM products are demarkated by 'Original' in their title. Our house brand batteries should nonetheless be of the same quality as the OEM ones, but less expensive due to a lack of branding.

The company is the real deal

The company is the real deal. Products are good. It's let down by 2 things which should be easily solvable

1. They supply no tracking numbers when order is shipped. Shipping takes longer than expected.
2. They take payment for items NOT in Stock and it will not be apparent until you chase it. Hint: only order what shows 3 green dots.

Sadly, shipping times are not always in our control. However, we strife to deliver all our orders within 1-2 weeks. Tracking is not available for small letterbox packages, but all other packages should receive a tracking link in the shipping confirmation email.

We indeed also sell batteries that are out of stock; these are then shipped out as soon as they are restocked. The out-of-stock status is displayed by a single red dot. However, we understand this is overlooked when purchasing; our webdesign team is currently working on a solution to improve the clarity of our stock statusses. This new feature should be up-and-running soon.

Dishonest description of product

I ordered 2 18v batteries described by Battery Upgrade as Makita batteries, description backed up by a photo of batteries with the Makita name and symbol on them. I received 2 cheap copies which were not Makita batteries, but imitations of Makita batteries.
Battery Upgrade is guilty of dishonest practices, basically of lying about what it sells.

The battery you received is indeed not an OEM, but a battery by a third-party manufacturer. All our original Makita batteries are denoted by 'Original' in the product title, as well as the Makita logo on the product page. We are sorry to hear this was not clear to you at the time of purchase.
