I used Ben’s Gutters a while back when…
I used Ben’s Gutters a while back when I owned a house, before moving to a flat. The service was fine; however, since then, they have continued calling me despite me asking several times for my number to be removed, as I no longer own a house.
Had I known this, I would never have used this company. My advice would be to avoid them unless you’re happy to be bombarded with marketing calls even after asking them to stop.

Complete scam
Be aware of 4 people in plain white van posing as Ben's Gutters company. One person wiped outside of guttering while the others looked on. Nothing else done. Demanded large payment from very elderly person and disappeared. Too late I realized that these were not genuine Ben's Gutters workers. I am writing this review as a warning to other people to be aware of these scammers who are doing the rounds using the company's name.

Great Experience and good job
Easy to book, cleaner punctual, helpful and polite. A great job done on cleaning 2 linked 3 storey houses both removing debris in the gutters and cleaning outside , fascias and downpipes. Care shown to both properties throughout. cannot recommend them enough.

They need access to electricity if they use the long reach hoover, so it's best if you're in. Otherwise the only way is by ladder.

Significant damage caused, no interest in rectifying
On 14th April, a gutter cleaner visited my property for which I paid £207 to have the gutters emptied and cleaned.
Upon their departure, the gutters were significantly damaged where paint has been rubbed off in multiple areas which will need repair. There was also wiring disturbed and left loose, as well as gutters still being full of debris.
I raised these issues with Ben's Gutters, sent 2 emails, 2 Whatsapps and made 2 calls before any response - the response I was offered was that they could 'ask the cleaner to come back' - given the last time he was at my property he caused significant damage, how is this a suitable solution? Secondly, they are 'unable to offer a full refund because the service was carried out'. I am now out of pocket, with significant property damage I am going to have to pay to repair, without the service I paid for having been completed to any acceptable standard.
I have escalated the issue and am awaiting a response from upper management.

Stones from gutters blocking downpipes
Gutters had been regularly cleaned by Ben's Gutters for many years.
The downpipe was blocked. When I investigated I found stones from the flat roof blocking the downpipe to around 3 feet in depth above ground (I haven't yet cleared the below ground stones). Clearly their idea of cleaning the gutter is pushing it all into the downpipe - rather than removing it. This causes long term problems. Clearly not competent.

The cleaners are definitely not instructed to block downpipes. That defeats the purpose of cleaning as this will be visible in the next rain. We can come and sort the downpipe out if it ends above the ground and clear it for you.
