Written confirmation of service that appears not to have been carried out, plus concerning sales conduct
I purchased a vehicle from this dealer and was provided with letterheaded paperwork confirming that the vehicle had been serviced at the time of sale.
That written confirmation was a material factor in my decision to proceed.
Shortly after collection, it became apparent that the vehicle had not been serviced to even a basic standard, raising serious doubts as to whether the service represented in writing had been carried out at all.
Fundamental checks that any genuine service would include appear to have been missed, which is incompatible with what was confirmed to me on the dealer’s own letterhead.
When this was raised, I was not provided with clear, contemporaneous evidence of the service (such as a job card, checklist, parts invoice, or technician details). Instead, the issue was minimised, leaving me with no confidence in the accuracy of the original written representation.
Separately, during the sales process, a salesman attempted to sell me a ceramic coating for the vehicle, despite the fact that the vehicle already had a ceramic coating applied (which I later discovered after purchase).
Taken together, these issues point to a troubling lack of reliability in both service claims and sales advice. I am posting this review to document my experience factually and to warn other consumers not to rely on generic service confirmations or sales recommendations without independent verification and detailed proof.
