Not an ideal shoping experience!! Walked into store was greated by somone on the door pleasant enough.
Looking at body warmers of which a certain make/style you had 3 on the peg. Asking if you had anymore in a different size was met by whats there is there. ( no offer of ordering to store, or checking for other sizes. This was not a sale item/clearence or even black friday reduced stock so to say you hold 3 items in stock I dont exactly believe) how ever we move on i take my choosing item to the till. 1 person serving clearly doing some other task that I felt I had interrupted and caused a huge inconvenience to take my £110 purchase.

That was the total engagement.
And carried on cleaning.
Not friendly, not smily and as I customer I genuinely felt I had interrupted far more important store cleaning duties.
If this wasn't a Christmas present I doubt I would of purchased.
Side note. Your store was extremely hot. To the point I witnessed 3 people
( 2 x seperate partys ) leave the store in my very short visit complaining to each other on how warm and uncomfortable it was to shop due to the heat instore.
Not recommend will not return to Cardiff branch certainly

We were able to enquire whether the store held a pair of particular men’s sandals in a particular size.
They did have - x2 pairs, and
Rebecca reserved them for us and we collected later in the day.
And they were in the Sale!

Customer service was excellent, 2 staff members went above and beyond to assist myself and my daughter with our purchase.

Found the item i want than went to pay and nobody on till
Staff on front door looked at me at one point and did nothing he was only staff on shop floor at this time
After waiting 10 mins I called down the shop floor to staff at front door is anybody service than out pop two staff from the back

So I’m a dad to a typical 15yr old boy who late Sunday evening says “I think I need a bag for my DofE practice hike on Friday.” Queue the frantic question asking and single syllable answers. But Blacks came to my aid. You can actually speak to a branch and get a human being that knows what’s in stock NOW. I spoke to Rebecca who told me they had 3 rucksacks that are recommended for DofE. My son finished school and we went over, very handy they were open till 18:00. Took his mate who had also done the same. Found Rebecca there who instantly knew who I was. She was incredibly helpful showing us where the items were and letting the boys try them on for fit and features. Once decisions were made they got a discount as they were registered to do their DofE so that took a little bit of the pain out of the experience. Very knowledgeable young lady who really helped us out. Very happy with the whole thing. They also give discount to Scouts if you need stuff for camp!

Rebecca was very helpful in getting me the correct boots that I needed, explaining the difference between each type.

Visited Blacks, Cardiff Bay, on 8th August 2024 with the Mrs, and we were served by David. David was exceptional in his customer service. He went above and beyond to help us, and was so good at his job. If a promotion is available or in the future, this is the person. Employees like David are a good asset for your company.

Twice I’ve been here to try waterproofs on and today I finally bought some that actually fit me being so fussy with my sizing etc. first time David at the Cardiff bay branch was so helpful and again on the second time. He’s a credit to the store, same for will at the Cardiff bay store nothing was to much for him second time around. Both a real credit to the store. Thanks again guys and making shopping so easy

Easy to buy online and the tent came within the time frame given. Very happy with my purchase and my experience of buying online. The tent is sturdy and the family are very happy with it.

Phoned Blacks to see if they had a tent in stock, very helpful and put it behind the desk for us. Then on arrival Hannah was extremely helpful and aided us with all our questions.

Went into Store at Cardiff Bay to Purchase an Opinel Camping knife!, I was told none in Store !,But Assistant checked stock and they had it on line and ordered it for me including free delivery to my home !, I paid in full and left!, After my 28mile drive home I received an email!,
ORDER CANCELLED!, Due to no stock!, Contacted Blacks customer service!, Straight away !, Apologies where given and I was told refund in progress!, NOT THE CASE!, If Purchased in store you have to go back to the store to obtain a refund!!.. 56 miles round trip!!! NOT GOOD!!!!….
