The staff especially Lee and Mary were extremely helpful . Lee was knowledgeable and experienced and willing to listen and make recommendations . No pressure for sales was exerted .
The shop was well stocked and well maintained

After a lot of searching went into Blacks in Shrewsbury.
From entrance to leaving the attention to Customer Service was incredible. We had our |Guide Dog puppy with us undergoing her acclimatisation of shopping and she was even made to feel welcome. Served by Josh and his attention to detail, regarding product knowledge , attention to detail when listening, and all with a tad of humour.
Great service, a credit to himself and the company.
I would go so far to say it was Customer Service Excellence at its very best,

Lee offered to help me find a suitable walking shoe. He was most helpful, gave me much information which was lacking in other boot stores. It gave a good impression of Blacks staff training since I noticed other assistants were also greatly experienced in how they greeted people and helped them. I hope to be returning* to the store to see if they have my size when they have more stock.
Hopefully I shall be able to find a comfortable pair of walking shoes.

I have been looking for some new footwear recently, I visited both of the go outdoors branches in Shrewsbury over the weekend, but didn’t make a purchase. I walked into Blacks today and found all of the staff smiling and friendly. I was unsure of which boots I should get but I was pleasantly surprised at the depth of knowledge a member of staff (Lee) had of all the footwear available. I bought a pair of Merrel Accentor 3 after having a well informed chat with Lee and trying various pairs on. I’m very happy with my purchase and I shall be returning to blacks soon to buy a pair of Teva mens sandals when they arrive in the store. Thanks to all the staff and especially Lee for the sound advice.

Excellent service from assistant Lee when looking for a pair of walking sandals. He managed both my enquiry and another customers fitting admirably, explaining the difference in cost and quality of products, and over fitting. Great service and great shopping experience as always at this store.

Today I went into the Shrewsbury store as Id seen on web site there was a gilet in store when I went in I could not find it so asked as there was only one on stock. They found it in the back room
.I purchased the gilet leaving very happy

Very helpful staff at Blacks in Shrewsbury.
We entered the store and were allowed to browse at leisure before Lee approached asking if we required any assistance. Lee was informative and knowledgeable regarding various brands of walking boots and was able to give clear advice on the particular brand I was looking to purchase. After trying on a few pairs I eventually purchased Moab 3 mid GTX. I am extremely pleased with the fit and comfort of them and would highly recommend Blacks in Shrewsbury. Lee was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable - Thank you.

Very professional, knowledgeable staff. Lee served me yesterday. I was looking for a new pair of hiking sandals and initially went for the brand I'd had previously. I wasn't 100% sure and Lee was able to provide details on the advantages / details of various types of sandals, helping me in the end to find a super comfy fit with good gripping soles. I am also a YHA life member but didn't have my card with me. Lee advised I could still get the discount if I had proof on my phone that I was a member, so appreciated that extra help too.
