I would never buy anything from this company! I bought my wife a tennis bracelet for her birthday. It was too large so we took it back to have it resized. They said we could not have it resized until after 60 days because we purchased a care plan. After the 60 days, it would take a minimum of six weeks to have it shortened. We took it back home to think it over and eventually brought it back to the store for a refund since we were well inside our 30 day refund period. Now they’re telling me it could take five weeks for them to issue a refund as it needs to be sent to New York and verified. They actually sent it off but then sent me an email with a UPS label to send it. I don’t think the left hand knows what the right hand is doing. They even acknowledged with a email that they have received it but told me it would be 4 to 5 additional weeks until they can issue a refund.Their customer service is the worst. Even the lady who helped us in the store said that she does not agree with how they operate. It amazes me that they even have customers. I will never ever ever walk into another blue Nile store. Buyer beware. If you ever need something done to your jewelry, it’s going to take months. No wonder they never have anybody in the store when I’ve ever walked by. It’s because of the poor customer service.

They accepted my ring for a repair, literally cut it in half, and then sent it back and said they couldn't repair it since they don't carry that model anymore. This also took 4 months for them to do (was supposed to be 6 weeks). An absolute shit show. Do not waste your time or money.
Response to Blue Nile's comment: to be clear, when I brought you my ring, it was in one piece. If your answer was "we can't fix it" and you returned it, that would have been fine. My issue is that you CUT IT IN TWO PIECES and then offered to sell me a new one.

1. First ordered a ring sizing kit (never received it) ordered another after 3 weeks also never received it.
2. Ordered a ring without the ring sizing kit and asked support for help and gave them exact dimensions of a similar Cartier ring my fiancee wears. The blue nile one was too big size so will need to resize it…
3. Shipping with ups was terrible paid for customs and they didn’t want to release the ring, no help whatsoever from blue nile and ups support sucks aswell.
For a 8k ring i would excpect a better experience, if online shops with products for 50€ can offer amazing experience how can a company doing billions not.

Ordered a pair of diamond earrings. They look amazing. Slight problems: (1) delivery date moved back twice, eventually delivered about 1 week later than originally estimated, (2) I accepted an offer from Blue Nile on my American Express Platinum card. In spite of meeting all requirements (as per AmEx agent), I have not received the credit from Blue Nile in the 5 weeks since placing the order.
On March 26 Blue Nile replied to my review and stated that someone from Customer Service would contact me regarding my issue. No contact has been made as of today.
Update: April 8, still no contact by Customer Service, I I finally received the value of the Blue Nile offer through my AmEx Platinum card. Better late than never.

I’m really disappointed with Blue Nile. My wife and I bought our wedding rings about a year ago, and I chose a tungsten band that was supposed to be very durable. We also paid for a 3 year extended care plan and have the receipt.
When my ring chipped, I went in expecting help. Instead, I was told the warranty had been canceled and refunded because of some internal IT issue.
Customer service was no help at all. The manager didn’t try to fix anything or take responsibility. It’s frustrating because the ring was only $250, and they still refused to repair or replace it.
I trusted them with something meaningful, and we won’t be shopping with them again.

I purchased an engagement ring that cost over $10,000 from Blue Nile and it was one of the worst mistakes of my life. To explain the 2.5 month ordeal would take too long, so I'll summarize the best I can. The craftsmanship of the engagement ring I purchased was pathetic. The ring had to be returned 2 times to correct the issue, and as I type this I still don't know if the repair is being done properly and it will need to be sent back a third time! The customer service has been mediocre at best. And if all that isn't horrible enough, I could not propose on the date I wanted to and the trip I planned for the proposal was ruined. I will never purchase another thing from this awful business and will make a point to share my opinion with anyone who will listen. And finally, if you don't learn from my mistake and purchase something from Blue Nile, I wish you the best of luck, as you'll need it.
AND regarding your reply, I did not "work with you" regarding the repair, I was forced to put up with your incompetence. Because...... if I didn't, I'd be stuck giving my girlfriend a defective (for lack of a better word) looking engagement ring. In addition, you did not make "improvements" to the ring. You "fixed" your mistake.......and it took three (yes 3) tries to get it correct. You people are a nightmare!! And good attempt at putting a spin on my complaint, so to make you look less guilty of being a bunch of screw-ups. Oh, and regarding your statement "If there is anything further, we can do to assist you, please let us know", there is.........You can reimburse me financially for the planned trip that you ruined, where I planned on proposing to my girlfriend. Which I could not do, as the ring had to be returned to you for repair and was not finished before we left! I think we're done talking at this point. Take care!
