Fab company, bought a pair of expensive Lofina Boots having seen them online. I spoke to the store who were super helpful re sizing advice and colour, they posted them the next day. Excellent high quality boots, super stylish and perfect sizing true to size. It’s a great store to use on line and I am looking forward to a visit to the Bath store soon.

OVER CHARGED

I purchased a jumper from Blue Cheltenham and paid £89. Some weeks later I visited an expensive local boutique and was dismayed to see the exact same jumper for £64 - the sales lady assured me that it was not sale price and was new stock. I then did some research on-line and found two more companies with the exact jumper both selling at £69. I e-mailed Blue to ask for their comments about the fact that I felt I had been over-charged by at least £20. They did not even have the courtesy to reply. I would advise that you do not visit this establishment unless you wish to waste your money!! There is also a branch in Bath - I will not be visiting that shop either.

Appalling customer service

Appalling customer service! Not at all happy with the way my complaint has been dealt with ( or not dealt with in this case). I purchased Lofina sandals which after two seasons wear fell apart . This equates to six to eight months wear. On the advice of Lofina head office I contacted Blue via email . Waste of time , they did not respond. I then rang three times and eventually got an email saying nothing they can do . I emailed a reply and guess what ? They don’t read them ! So I got the shoes repaired myself . At over £225 per pair I expected better! I have lots of pairs of Lofina much older than this with no issues . I usually go out of my way to support local business , but in this case I won’t again .

Outstanding customer service - thank you Blue!

This is a wonderful shop if you are looking for something stylish and unusual, and it's a joy to browse around. But it is the customer service I would like to write about here, as in my experience it has been outstanding. I bought some Lofina sandals there almost 2 years ago, which I absolutely love as they are so comfortable for wide feet. On the whole they are excellent quality. They still look almost as new, despite being worn many times. However, there was an issue with the buckles, which snapped. First quite soon after purchasing the sandals and then the other one recently. I returned to Blue in both cases, and in both cases the staff took on the responsibility and went to huge lengths to get the buckles replaced. Given the shoes are made in Italy by a Danish company, this involved several international couriers and, in the most recent case to save time as I needed the shoes quickly as was going away for a month, Hazel ordered the buckle and then went herself to the local cobbler to get them fixed, chivvying him along in order to meet the deadline. I feel the staff take responsibility and bend over backwards for their customers, and what's more I was so impressed that their attitude is to fix shoes that are otherwise perfectly good rather than just suggest I discard them and get a new pair, as most shops would have done. I am extremely grateful to Hazel and recommend Blue extremely highly, both for the clothes and the best customer service I have experienced. THIS is why we need to continue to support our local shops and resist buying online!

I live near Brighton but visit Cheltenham often. Blue has become a firm favourite of mine either online or in person. The ladies at the shop are delightful and attentive and the clothes are varied, imaginative and stylish. As a mid 50 year old I’m no longer interested in following high street fashion and Blue has helped me find a look that means I embrace shopping for clothes which help me feel good about my body and what I wear. Thank you Blue x

Such a shame

After a lovely week in Cheltenham ,I did quite a lot of shopping and browsing with my best friend I was so impressed with the new restaurants that have opened but was very disappointed with Blue ,right next door to a sparkling new shop Oska it looks so tired and unloved ,and unfortunately the staff had no interest at all ,we went there twice ,the first visit only one lady was there and was on the phone ,obviously a personal one and was not intending to end the call,on the second visit there were two ladies and again one was on the phone and the other one was on the computer and showed hardly any interest except are you ok browsing whilst sitting down on the computer .
I don’t write reviews normally but having visited this shop over the years was very sorry to see what I saw ,that is not to say there weren’t some lovely clothes still ,but the staff really need a gee up .

Excellent customer service from Lucy who was incredibly helpful in our purchase of a large sofa and chair. Lucy was very professional, enthusiastic and polite, followed up with excellent care and attention regarding delivery. We could not have asked for more.

I recently ordered two pairs of jogging pants from this company and I adore them. Based on their size chart, I ordered a size up, from what I would normally wear, and that was definitely a good call because they fit me perfectly. I'd say the only thing I don't love about this company is how expensive the shipping cost was, but I can overlook that since I'm happy with the product I ordered.

I've only bought from this company during lockdown but will continue to do so in the future. Really happy with the service, love the quality of the pics and especially love seeing clothes on women who look like me instead of 6ft Amazons. Hopefully will get to visit one day.

Could not agree more with the review ,I stopped going as felt the same as the last reviewer ,they were either not bothered at all or too bothered unless you were obviously a big spender then all over you ,I think when the owner was in the latter scenario takes place .In. Fairness they do have a good selection of clothing but again crammed in and some of the stock is ancient .I have now found a company called idaretobe and although only online much more professional on their website and no delivery charges

Hi Elaine,
I must say it's hard to believe that after nearly a year of being locked down and very little income that someone would sit down and write a very hurtful and damaging email to trust pilot.
Firstly we have checked our records over all years and you have never purchased anything online. Which seems strange and malicious that you would write about it. Would you like clarify when you had your bad experience and in which shop? Maybe we have lots of clothes on our rails because we have been closed for the best part of a year.

We always give heart and soul to our customers and will continue to do so.
Maybe it's time to start appreciating the few shops that will survive the year that we have all had and support them rather than wanting to do them damage.

Great clothes BUT......

Love the selection of clothes.Have bought many times from this shop......
BUT too may clothes crammed on to the rails
Very strange people working in shop who sometimes are inattentive and rather off hand.
I wonder why you don't use professional models on your website which would make the clothes look better.

I noticed the last review and suggest you look at Walkers who do similar clothing and returns are free.
I and friends visited Bath and went into the store on Friday ,lovely staff at the cafe but not such a pleasant experience in the store ,not many staff and the lady who served us was very pushy ,obviously very popular but not for me ,I do know when things don’t look good on me !!

Appalling unprofessional customer service

As a semi regular customer at this shop I recently purchased a pair of very nice expensive boots as a gift for my daughter. I paid £11 postage which is the shops only option for large* parcels (*decided by the shop to be any parcel above 1kg in weight, so arguably not that large) There is no other option. I didn’t require them ‘Next Day’, but as afore mentioned; no other option.

Unfortunately, they did not fit my daughter so I had to return and ask for a refund. I did do as per the shop’s Returns Policy, promptly, within 7 days, paying £11 again as advised by the the policy.

When refunded I noticed that £11 had been deducted from the refund amount.

To break this down:

£11 postage from the shop to my house: I paid.

£11 postage from my house back to the shop: I paid

Refund amount minus £11 postage? What am I paying for now? Dinner?

I would like a direct answer to this question in your response please, how was this calculated?

I emailed to enquire into this a couple of times as my first email was not responded to. When I did receive a reply they apologised for the inconvenience and said they would refund me £3.70. I hold my hands up, I’m no mathematician, but given that the cost for their smallest parcel (0.0kg - 0.1kg...so a button) starts a £6.70, I feared there may have been a clerical error somewhere along the way. I emailed again politely asking for clarification.

The response:

‘Distance selling laws requires us to return the cost of the basic postage for this item. This amount is £3.70 for this parcel’.

So, 2 things here:
1. Can you show me where it says this on your website? I have read the Returns Policy where it is categorically not mentioned.
2. Why am I paying £7.30??? At all?

Again, I would be grateful for a direct answer.

The next answer given in the email thread was that Blue are obliged to refund the basic postage. Makes no sense as I’ve paid all postage.

To my horror, when I did not respond I received the following unprompted email:

‘We are an independent shop. Things are very hard to survive at the moment. We simply cannot put all this time and effort into our orders- have it delivered next day to your door and then also pay your postage costs. We act within distance selling laws. It says on our website in the postage and returns section.’

Admitting you can not afford to put time and effort into your orders is unprofessional and frankly, abysmal customer service. If you cannot manage this, maybe move away from mandatory next day delivery.
DO NOT imply I’m asking you to pay any postage. I’m asking you not to charge me for postage I’ve already paid. It’s really quite simple.

Finally, in your response, please do not sign off with a kiss. It is unprofessional. I do not need kissing, I need customer service.

Hi Angela. Sorry that you were so upset with our response. Having re- read it, it was not worded perfectly and for this I am sorry. We are a family independent business and we do try our best to offer a good service. But we are humans at the end of the computer and times are extremely unprecedented for us all.

However, This was the email we sent you to explain the costs.

You paid £11 postage and we are obliged to refund the basic cost of the return which is £3.70. The extra £7.30 is the extra amount to upgrade the postage- which meant your parcel was sent special delivery, tracked, insured and signed for. We only offer this option as it offers both us and you protection- should your parcel go missing.'

We DO NOT profit from the post, we only charge what we pay.

We did not send any kisses... I have checked the email thread incase there was a typo.. there was not.

Kind Regards
BLUE

Really what is there not to like

Really what is there not to like. I live in London, but still prefer to shop at Blue. I always find something ( if not several things) that improve my day. Lunch at the Cafe Lucca ( with the dog), and a stroll around Bath afterwards - even in the rain - makes the whole experience a treat.

Just for some feedback

Just for some feedback, parcel took 3 weeks to arrive and cost GBP20 to post. I have purchased online from boutiques in Belfast and Edinburgh at less cost (GBP10-15) and they have arrived much faster.
I emailed their sales team 3 days ago as I could not get the tracking number to work but got no response. That said, item was lovely, in perfect condition and I think their facility to buy overseas online is a great thing for us shoppers. I will continue to look and/or shop online with them again. Kind regards, Glenda
