Manchester print works- theft
Boom battle bar at Manchester print works - I visited here 10 days ago on a work event and purchased 2 rounds of drinks. Unfortunately they took more money off my credit card than the receipt I was given and are refusing to refund me the difference. This is theft. It happened to 2 of my colleagues as well. If you do visit here, pay cash to be safe

Completed 30 minutes of axe throwing with their staff member Ryan. Highly recommend for groups or date night. Ryan showed us all the techniques needed and they were extremely helpful throughout! Really good customer service! Thank you to Ryan for their patience and a brilliant afternoon!

Great team night out axe throwing at Wandsworth - Brady was a great host, thank you. Shame that the kitchen closed early for a Thursday night, which resulted in a lower than expected bar tab!

Lakeside
Lakeside. Facilities were fine. Food acceptable, although everything was cooked in the same frying oil. Service, however, was almost nonexistent.
Bottomless Brunch.
I booked a bottomless brunch in the Exeter venue for 18 people to celebrate my birthday.
From booking it, and corresponding with menu options etc everyone was very friendly and helpful.
The table was set up really well so 18 of us were altogether, the food was amazing and our Elouise was brilliant sorting out all the drinks for such a big group.
Everyone had a lovely time and we can’t wait to come back.
PS the dj was amazing, playing bangers the whole time
Staff were rude, food was poor, experience was slow
Staff were rude, food was poor, everything was slow from service to games.
Overall experience was very underwhelming, won’t visit again and will save myself a huge sum of money at the same time, it’s expensive!
RUDE STAFF - POLICY BREACHED
We attended on Saturday 8th April intending to play a game of axe throwing (after paying £70.00 for the game) due to it being bank holiday weekend, we had arrived 15 minutes early to gauge the environment and how it works, after walking past security we were left to fend for ourselves, there was nobody around to guide us and certainly no one to greet us at thew door to explain the ‘Rules.’
Directly in front of us there was a bar serving alcoholic drinks. Therefore, my party of four had decided to purchase an alcoholic drink each – please note there was no signage anywhere to advise you cannot consume any alcohol prior to participating in any of the activities and none of the bar staff had asked us if we had booked in for a specific activity.
It was time to head over to what we could only assume was the section of axe throwing to be told we had to speak with reception. After speaking waiting around 10 minutes for someone to show up behind the desk to be able to inform us what we needed to do (the young man behind the stand wasn’t sure) A female member of staff under the name of ‘Megan’ very brash has explained that as we had consumed alcohol we are unable to participate in our game that we had booked. This was very disheartening as we had been left to fend for ourselves with no explanation other than a very small advisory on the ‘Activity notes’ upon booking which doesn’t make you tick to advise you have agreed to have read the T&C’s so this is very easily missed! (I will leave a screenshot below.)
Megan was incredibly condescending and patronizing which lead to myself becoming upset and requesting a full refund or at most to have the balance put behind the bar on a tab as the activity was already paid for to which she outright refused and asked us to leave the premises. The security had walked over and told me to in his own words ‘Shut my mouth.’ When Megan was asked how she had known we had consumed any alcohol she had advised us that they had ‘been watching us’ – my question is if you are watching us head over to the bar after entering the building – why not let us know we cannot consume any before playing the activity?
I had asked Megan why nobody had informed us of these rules beforehand and why nobody was at the door to meet and greet us to which she replied’ Usually that is what happens’ meaning Boom battle bar had broken their own rules by not following ‘Usual’ Processes. Another bullet point listed on ‘Activity notes’ IS that ID is required to be presented upon purchasing alcohol – to which none of my family were asked to provide (I am 22 years old myself and my partner is 24) Under the ‘Challenge 25’act another process was breached.
‘’ Challenge 25 is a retailing strategy that encourages anyone who is over 18 but looks under 25 to carry acceptable ID if they wish to buy alcohol. Introduced by the Retail of Alcohol Standards Group as Challenge 21 in 2006, Challenge 25 rolled out in the off trade in 2009.’’
We were forced to leave the premises and this had a very negative impact on the rest of our weekend in Bath. I suffer with anxiety and mental health conditions such as PTSD and depression. The whole purpose of the trip to Bath was to help ease my mental health strains and spend time with my family ‘Enjoying life’ again. This whole experience has triggered my conditions and has left me feeling very overwhelmed and upset to be treated in such a poor way. My mental health has deteriorated once again at the hands of Boom Battle Bar Bath.
I am writing to request a full refund of the £70.00 I had paid due to the incompetence of the staff for breaching their own terms and conditions as their processes were not followed.
Fun but slow
Overall enjoyed the experience at the Ipswich site, we paid for the date night pass which allowed for unlimited games and unlimited food, which was extremely good for the price and had fun with a variety of games.
However, service was extremely slow due to minimal staff, it was a bit of a pain to play the next game as a staff member was needed to set it up, along with slow drink service, with no member being behind the bar and the unlimited food only lasts from 19.00-20.00, where in that time, we only ordered once, on top of that we could only order 1 plate at a time, this being a small side dish.
Recommended if you book 1 or 2 games for an hour or 2 with a group of friends. Turn up with full bellies and possibly already tipsy (unless youre axe throwing, by which theyre blunt).

Terrible terrible security in the…
Terrible terrible security in the Swindon bar. I left the bar after seeing someone fall over, they were alone. I made sure he was with friends before I tried to get back in. I was told I wasn’t allowed because I used the wrong exit! I explained I didn’t have my phone or bag as it was still inside and I didn’t feel safe leaving alone, to which I was told by security ‘it wasn’t their job to keep me safe’. I asked if he would be okay if he found out I was murdered on my way home, then I was called a d*ck. I wasn’t drinking. I wasn’t being inflammatory. Emailed the bar to let them know and heard knotting back
Very poor service
I came in for a drink with my husband while waiting for the show at the O2, I was hoping to have a few cocktails but the bartender used his fingers to pick the mint, lemon ,limes and cucumber from their containers, so I changed my mind and ordered a large sauvignon blanc which he had to go and find , when he returned he picked up a glass and put it in front of me so I quickly pointed out to him that it was covered in lipstick so he picked it up and cleaned it with his t- shirt,so I asked for another glass which also had lipstick on so I asked for it and I cleaned it with a serviette that was available on the bar,he then poured my £10 glass of wine which I tasted and discovered it was room temperature, so I asked for anything that was chilled which I got, I then ordered a drink for my husband and 10 minutes later I have got my 2 drinks, I'm a licensee and would have provided 2 drinks in 3/4 minutes Pat
