Excellent service from start to finish! Easy to deal with via email and no lengthy conversations, sent them the details of my flight disruption and they dealt with it all so smoothly, I just had to provide boarding cards and they won the case and all passengers were compensated! Amazing 5*

Quick and efficient

I am absolutely appalled at this company. I was told that Bott and Co were representing me for a motor finance claim and I did not authorise this. During my communications with this company, I have asked on several occasions that they provide proof that I have signed up to their terms. They have sent me a copy of their terms and conditions that has no signature on it and an “authority” form with a signature that does not look like mine. I’ve been communicating with them for many days and I seem to be getting no where. They claim they got my details from a third party that I had allegedly filled out. They cannot provide me with the proof I am requesting. I now have no choice but to raise a complaint with the Claims Management Ombudsman. In my opinion, any reputable and upstanding company would be able to send over what is requested instead of using delay tactics with baseless evidence. They say I’ll owe them money, but can’t provide me with the evidence I require.

I recently received a call from Phoebe regarding my claim, and despite the poor phone signal and the amount of background noise, she remained incredibly patient, understanding, and professional throughout our conversation.

I’ve spoken to several people about my claim before, but unfortunately, many of those interactions left me feeling like my case wasn’t being taken seriously. Phoebe was completely different. She genuinely listened to my concerns, showed empathy for my situation, and took the time to explain everything clearly. Most importantly, she made me feel like she truly cared and was committed to doing her best to help.

The incident has been extremely stressful for me, and after speaking with Phoebe, I finally felt hopeful again. Her kindness, compassion, and willingness to support me made a huge difference, and I’m very grateful for the outstanding customer service she provided.

Great service

Staff are nice people individually, but their dodgy advice cost me £12,000 and their excuse was that my case handler was inexperienced.

Be careful - they record phone calls to take verbal agreement from you, but then refuse to tell you what you agreed to or what advice you were given. I recommend you record all calls, to protect yourself from this. Don't make the mistake I did, and think they will comply with GDPR requests.

I also didn't like how they are unclear on how much their fees are. Some of their documents say their fees are inclusive of VAT, some say exclusive of VAT. The statements you'll get look like they're written by people without financial accounting experience. It's worth adding these up yourselves, because I found out they overcharged me £750 (but haven't returned this yet).

Bott + Co might be good for simple stuff. If you have low standards and expectations, you might just want to jump on their meat market conveyor belt and just let stuff happen to you. Don't think you'll have their full attention though, so just sit tight and wait for the wheels to grind along slowly.

I have no idea if they are good by industry standards, but I definitely found being hit by a van to be the most pleasant experience in the four years I've been working with them.

Two stars because on a human-to-human level, the people I've spoken to where genuinely nice, but considering they cost me £12k in dodgy advice, I wouldn't recommend them to others.

Update: I've now received the £750 they had overcharged me, but the VAT issue, call recordings and dodgy advice matter is still unresolved.
