Brewers Fayre Reviews 

I ordered a Strongbow on draught cider and was presented with strongbow dark fruits, which I did not want and did not order. The girl behind the bar got very defensive and said that she would not refund me for the wrong drink and would have to charge me again! So much for friendliness, professionalism and good customer service! Very disappointing.

I was very disappointed with my recent visit. The food we were served was overcooked and not up to standard. I’ve uploaded photos on Tripadvisor so others can see exactly what we received.

When I raised my concerns afterwards, no goodwill gesture or effort was made to resolve the situation. For a well-known chain, I expected much better service and value for money. Unfortunately this experience has really put me off returning.

We went to Brewers Fayre Howgate in Whitehaven and the lady on the till was extremely rude and spoke to me like I was simple. The sarcastic remarks were unnecessary and my children picked up on the fact she wasn't happy. She has zero people skills. Its such a shame because everyone else is so lovely. The chefs are very chatty and helpful. The other lady's are very polite just a shame one is letting the side down.

Wouldn't serve my twenty one year old son alcohol as he had lost his provisional,
but he did have a photo of it . Felt like after they didn't serve him. They were watching us constantly to make sure we didn't give him a drink which I thought was very uncomfortable won't be booking here again .this is my family's experience

I booked a table for myself and my partner to have a carvery at the Glastonbury branch at 14.45 today. Although the website clearly states that the carvery is available until 18.00 we were informed that it wasn't available. This was after we had traveled over an hour by bus to get there.

Whilst I acknowledge that demand might have been high I have two major points that I find unacceptable. Firstly why take bookings if you can't honour them. Secondly, if we had been greeted and seated at our booking time instead of waiting an additional 5 minutes whilst customers with no bookings were seated before us, there might have still been some carvery left.

Then to add insult to injury be feedback was met with what can only be described as apathy at best and distain at worst.

The level of customer service from the lady who served us fell well short of anything I would expect from a professional company.

We visited the Premier Inn in Hinckley and decided to eat at the Brewers Fayre opposite – unfortunately, it was a dreadful experience from start to finish. The food was appalling, and this wasn’t just one bad dish – we ordered eight different mains for the 8 people present, and every single one was poor.

We had to ask for basic essentials like serviettes, cutlery, and side plates. Staff told us serviettes were kept with the salt, pepper, and sauces, but we had to point out that there were no knives or serviettes there at all. Plates and glasses were left uncleared, and overall service was disorganised.

Someone in the garden had warned us, “It’s fine for a drink, but the food is terrible” – we wish we’d listened. Matters were made worse when staff openly complained, in front of customers (myself included), about wanting to close early.

To add to the disappointment, our stay at the adjacent Premier Inn was also poor. A colleague reported the restaurant experience to them and was given two breakfast vouchers, but the hotel room itself had not been properly serviced. On arrival, we found only one set of towels, a dripping wet bath mat, and – most shockingly – a rubber item which looked like some kind of sex toy in the room. This was handed straight to reception. The reception staff I have to say were pleasant and helpful but other than that it all fell well short of the usual standards.

All in all, both the restaurant and hotel were a huge let-down. I won’t be returning to Priory Marina.

I use Premier Inn and Brewers Fayre regularly but these two together are unbelievably awful.

Lovely food caring staff great manager.. Nice relaxing atmosphere.Always visit twice a week,u good parking.Smothered chicken very good.Meeting friends .

Usually enjoy burton house at Boston but, oh my god, dirty tables stacked high with dirty food plates for over two hours, unfriendly waiting staff and the tikka curry was inedible due to the chicken content being 6 cubes of rubbery gristle and the coors beer was diluted water. Never will we eat here again

Booked a table for 6 at Brewers Fayre, Lodmoor. This is the 1st time I’ve ever been. Here the staff were very friendly and took the time to chat with you . The food was nice and served in a reasonable amount of time. They even replaced a drink my friend accidentally spilt free of charge. I’d recommend this place and would visit again thanks for great service

We went to Drove Brewers Fayre in Newhaven at the beginning of June 2025 and could not go in as we hadn't "made a reservation" It was only half full so why we couldn't we weren't told. I have written to "customer service" asking why but no answer given. Avoid as we will do next time

We have been going to the Brewers Fayre in Glastonbury for about 4 years now, obviously we love it there.
Just lately the food has gone down hill. 3 times I’ve had to complain and it has been put right.
Today I asked if they had a new chef and the answer was no. The meals are just basic , cheap and cheerful but to serve a meal of smothered chicken and to taste the first bite, tasted burnt and when I turned it over it was very burnt and the bacon and the garlic bread.
We did give them the benefit of doubt as we didn’t go for three weeks prior to this and thought we would try again today but sadly will not be returning for a while and smothered chicken has always been our favourite.
The staff are lovely and friendly. Especially Michelle, Wallis, Zoe, Daisy and Lee.
Also cleanliness as you walk in restaurant and carpets have gone down hill too. There are cobwebs, the disabled toilet is dirty too , the sink is brown around the plug hole and floor dirty.
I was so disappointed today as we love going there and I hate complaining but just thought enough is enough now 😥

Afon Conwy Brewer's Fayre. Had a 40% mains voucher from one of their own flyers which was in date but they refused to accept so we left.

We visited Home Farm in Hull on 10th July this year for a birthday celibration, and wished we hadnt, The service was slow to non existent - one person complaining that she had sort tables out, We ordered at the same time, but split the bill. This however should not have resulted in my mixed grill turning up 15 minutes before the other three meals. The menu detailed what should have been on the plate some was missing (egg, tomato) the half chicken breast was just a slice of chicken and the hal gamon was basically a slice of bacon one of the sausages looked to have been sheadded. On to my wifes meal the smothered chicken looked awfull the supposed backon that should have been on it was 99% fat the whole thing looked like it had bee thrown onto the plate from the other side of the room. My son had the same 99% fat instead of bacon on his burgger and my daughter could not eat all of the fish and chipos as when she got to part of it it did not look weel cooked. All in all a disapointing afair especially as its usually a good company to visit (brewers fayer , not Home farm).By the end of it and not being able to find anyone suitable to complain to we had, had enough and left. I tried to complain to Whitbread the owners of Brewers fayre to be just brushed off and told they would do notheing and that we should contact the pub. This meeal should have cost over £75, all I can say is that they must be making a huge profit for doing nothing, its a good job we had a voucher for discount.Needless to say we do not hold out any hope for any form of genuin response. We should have gone to Weatherspoons instead at least the food would have been OK there.

They did not have our first choice then no cold/sandwich option. Very disappointing with the food overall

Michelle at Hampton Brewers Fayre in Peterborough was lovely. Her hospitality made us feel very welcome, especially for the kids which was like an oasis away from this blistering hot weather.
The prices were awesome too - £5 for our meals plus bottomless refill drinks. Absolute bargain for brilliant experience. Very clean too and fantastic play pit

Despite the restaurant being less than half full, they struggled to provide any sort of service. Food was shocking. The Thai green curry had clearly been used to get rid of surplus peas and contained uncooked veg and the chips with the other meals had probably been cooked two weeks ago. Two adult main courses, one toddler meal and 3 soft drinks came to £40. Never again will I be parting with my hard earned cash here.

Joanne and her team at Rhubarb Triangle in Wakefield were very attentive, polite and patient when dealing with our older people when they visited. Food was hot, served in a timely manner and was to a good standard. Great service and friendly on the pocket.

For the 1 in Londonderry only. This used to be 5/5 with amazing staff and amazing prices but lately it's as if they have been taking over by children. The variety is awful, last week 6 dishes to chose from for lunch. Staff always get the hard eggs request wrong which ruins it for my daughter. Portion sizes haven't got smaller they have absolutely shrunk so price is no longer competing
Bring bk the mixed grills and give proper adult sizes and rating can improve

Spent 2 nights at Premier Inn Thurrock East. The Brewers Fayre is with the hotel. Breakfasts have been very good so have no complaints. However eating in the evening is a different story. 1st night ordered a mixed grill. Meat was good, however a hammer drill would have helped for the fried eggs. Second night ordered a burger, burger was good, however the 1hr and 10 mins for it to arrive was not. Think eating elsewhere next time will be a good idea.
