Absolutely over the moon....Took a trip down to Somerset to visit the companies work shop & it was a lovely experience to see where these fabulous jackets are proudly hand made.
I firstly contacted Gary by phone to arrange a visit & then headed down to meet the man behind the machine.We discussed in length what I was looking for & figured out the size to suit me.
I have been wanting a flying jacket for some time now & certainly picked the right place to have it bespoke made for me. The workmanship is outstanding in every way & I would certainly recommend Gary & his family team if your looking for something authentic.
I know where to go next time....but I think this will last me years !!!

Ordered some sheepskin mittens. They took about a week to arrive. Lovely and soft, I am very pleased with them. I ordered a size smaller than what my hand measured according to their size chart and they are still a bit big but that works alright for me as I wear a thin pair of silk gloves underneath for extra warmth. Good communication and quick delivery. I would use again.

Some 6 years ago my partner and I bought beautifully crafted sheepskin flying jackets to keep us warm when driving our Morgan 2 seater. They were of the highest quality and are much admired. They were the best value for money given the outstanding quality. My partner’s jacket need to have some modifications. We visited Gary on site, on Wed 30 Jan 19, discussed the problem and Gary came up with an excellent solution at a very competitive cost. The following day I had a call from Gary to say the work was complete and he would be posting the package on the same day!! However, the snow fell and disrupted the delivery. The modified jacket arrived yesterday and we are absolutely delighted with the outstanding quality of the work. If it could be, it is better than perfect!!
In terms of customer satisfaction and engagement this company ticks ALL the boxes. If you are looking for an RAF style Leather/sheepskin flying jacket, look no further. This company has my strongest recommendation without any reservations.

I ordered a ladies brown/brown woollen WWII flying jacket. Well worth the wait for the jacket as the quality and craftsmanship is of the highest quality and it's so toasty warm too. I ordered a size 10, my usual size and it fitted well, a comfortable loose fit. I love the smell of the leather/sheepskin, the look and style of the jacket. You won't be disappointed. Jo was very helpful and kept me informed about the expected delivery dates. The British Sheepskin Company, thanks for everything.

Firstly, the customer service is outstanding! Gary invited us to visit his workshop whilst we were in the area for the weekend from Yorkshire. It was a fantastic experience seeing where such beautiful items are made. The history of how the company started only added to the experience. After Gary took my measurements I placed my order for a Flying Jacket.
A little over a week later...I received the awesome Flying Jacket The British Sheepskin Company made for me. I'd like to say how blown away both my wife and I are at the level craftmanship that has gone into creating such a jacket! It fits like a glove and could not be improved upon! Many, many thanks. We will definitely be in touch in the future. You won't be disappointed with the BSC, I couldn't be happier!

I ordered a sheepskin waistcoat in tan leather as a present for myself for Christmas. I have been after one of these for years. The British Sheepskin Company did not disappoint & sent me a beautiful waistcoat that fits perfectly. The quality is excellent and it was dispatched very quickly. I simply love it. I will be ordering from them again.

Gloves arrived promptly however they were not the style pictured and I was also unhappy with the quality. I made contact requesting to return them using the online form and received no response. Several emails sent with no reply. I returned the gloves using a tracked service but received no email to say they were received and would be refunded. I finally made contact by phone where I was promised a return call, this didn't happen. I made one more call and finally confirmed the item would be refunded.
Very poor communication and customer service. Inaccurate photos on site, and a very unprofessional way to run a business.

I'm surprised to see any negative reviews of the customer service of this business; Jo has been utterly fantastic. I am yet to buy any products, but have arranged to visit with my mother in law so she can select a belated Christmas present (will update when we have a product/s).

The customer service, and Jo in particular has been truly brilliant - from ensuring we are able to visit at a time that suits us and checking the types of products I'm looking for so they can make sure they have the right things in stock - certainly so far I cannot fault them! Thank you!

We brought two Biggles Flying Helmets, lovely fit and so soft and comfortable. Worth every penny.

Sheepskin mitts arrived very quickly. They are so soft, I didn’t realise how soft these gloves could be. They look so stiff in the pictures. I bought a size small for my mum’s Xmas. She has tiny hands. The gloves are too small for me, I would normally be a medium, so hopefully they’ll be perfect for my mum. Only gave a 4 in the review as they took the money twice at the point of payment, I noticed straight away in my credit card statement. So I emailed and asked for a refund. I didn’t get a response but I did get the refund. A quick apology might have been polite, but at least they returned the money, which I assume was taken in error.

I went to the workshop while I was up that way. Wow great experience fantastic quality hand crafted garments jackets. gloves hats. I purchased a flying jacket We went to bennevis range was - 5. I was toasty. My wife loved her jacket too. I would recommend thanks again stu

I ordered a sheepskin jacket, and it’s beautiful, there sheepskin is very good quality, you can see by looking at it, better than other jackets I’ve had. Highly recommended!!

I was delighted to receive my bespoke jacket today and it is PERFECT in every way. Every requested specification has been attended to from the type of pelt used to the placing of the belt etc.
Many thanks to everyone involved in the careful creation of this lovely warm jacket which was put into production as soon as I’d ordered it.
I can certainly recommend this company to everyone.

I took a much loved and well worn 39 year old sheepskin coat/cape to British Sheepskin to have copied. They have done a fantastic job and I am very pleased with the result. They also patched up my old one so I could wear it to keep warm on rough country walks. Am a delighted customer.

Hi I had a bespoke pale grey sheepskin toscana flying jacket made by Gary and I am beyond delighted it truly is an exquisite item. Gary really is an absolute gem and I cannot praise him enough, excellent email and telephone communication.
Sizing is perfect.

After placing an order with British Sheepskin Co for an item priced at over £600, I discovered upon arrival that the item was too small, so emailed the seller and asked for a refund (as the item did not fit and I was not happy with the quality considering the price I had paid). British Sheepskin Co refused to refund me, claiming the item I had ordered was bespoke (which it was not), and had admitted in an email conversation with me that they could refund me my money but would not as “returning the item to its original state was too much hassle and I’m not prepared to do it” in the words of an employee. Nothing had been changed or altered from standard on my jacket, making their argument invalid.

They still refused to refund me after I had highlighted to them that the item was not bespoke and even sent them a highlighted extract of the conversation I had with the employee stating that he COULD refund me but WOULDN’T in an attempt to keep all my money. After getting my bank involved and having the legal team draw up a case against British Sheepskin Co (which I sent evidence to and was prepared to go to court for, something British Sheepskin Co were initially prepared to do), I ended up receiving a full refund a month later after my bank had contacted them, highlighting that if they were taken to court, they would lose.

DO NOT under any circumstances order from British Sheepskin Co. Their items are too expensive, of lacking quality for the price, the customer service is atrocious, the employees are condescending and they are only after your money with no care for customer satisfaction.

If you were after a quality Sheepskin item, I would recommend Caine Leathers, which are better quality and are considerably cheaper (£200-£300 in some cases). AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
