Aggressive security ruined a special…

Aggressive security ruined a special night

We attended the Olivia Rodrigo concert and got separated from our group at the end of the night. I was with two 8-year-old girls whose parents were on the other side of the park. Instead of helping, security staff aggressively shouted at us to leave because the park was closing. Their behaviour was hostile and frightening, and both girls were left in tears. We eventually reunited with our group, but the incident completely ruined what should have been a joyful experience for them. I submitted a formal complaint months ago and have only received automated responses saying it’s “under investigation.” No resolution, no accountability.

An absolute travesty

An absolute travesty. Useless staff, terrible customer service, unacceptable treatment of disabled guests. How these people run a business is beyond me.

Get the big screens in sync!

Please get the big screens in sync!! 2 years ago for Billy Joel they were out of sync and just been to see Stevie Wonder this year and again, the screens were out of sync with the music! When you're relying on the big screens to see who you're meant to be seeing it's really important!! I've been to smaller gigs with a much smaller budget and they've all been perfect.

Overall, both times we've been to Hyde Park, it's been really good. Staff were helpful, water supplies great, extensive food choices (although a bit on the expensive side!). Didn't see any trouble either times we've been. Options to stand further out so you're not in the thick of it. Had the big screens been in sync it would have got 5 stars.

Stopping people taking their own food in is mean. Not everyone going lives in London or is earning a London wage. We travelled from Edinburgh by train which was expensive, then a night in a hotel, plus the actual cost of the concert. It all mounts up to a very expensive ticket!! To then be forced into spending more money on food when you're in the venue is just rude!!

View is non existent

I've done 20 BST events over a few years: this year was the worst yet. Did, Diamond for Neil Young and Stevie W. I was first into arena on both days so positioned at the middle, front. The speaker set up was dreadful. All but obscured the stage. Camera man stood infront of Neil: didn't move. I saw nothing. Stevie W, security stood directly infront during Ezra C, didn't shift at all. 350 a ticket. Hours of waiting. No view at all. Couldn't even see screens cos of sun. Waste of money

Very few facilities

After going to Hyde park for many years, recent concert 11 july, will not be returning, worst experience ever had, it's now just money making exercise, the overly expensive peroni draught lager,, dishwater, could not drink it , whoever thought a fake oak tree with speakers in front of screens, where you can only see the body no head, chronic, over paid amateurs,
Aldi, Lidl Sainsbury's, at a concert! What happened to the promoting of independent stalls, very few seats to take a rest, refuge from the sun for a bit, I found the staff (apart from a handful) treated talked with contempt. After a couple hours standing walking in 30 degrees, not able to take respite from sun, we had to leave, totally drained, our party of 6 just had to leave, missed Neil young, the reason why we went, a very expensive waste of time, wouldn't return even if tickets free, &free travel offered, was pure torture.

Badly organised in my opinion

Badly organised queuing system so took an hour to get in . No water for sale but free water and cups available but would have been useful to buy a 500ml bottle of water - hot day and 65,000 there . Staff at beer tents not as efficient as they have been in previous years .
Generally it's a cynical money making event now - cramming more people in without upping the facilities .
Rules Limiting bags to small dimensions yet letting any size in was annoying !

Very poor view

Whoever decided to put a fake oak tree and speakers in front of the screens needs sacking . All I could see the entire day was a body . No head . View Shocking . Whatever they are paid is too much . Never ever going back

Highly enjoyed BST 2025

The AMEX Experience staff were all amazing, high energy, so helpful and a lot of fun - thanks!

The music was outstanding, Neil Young I actually love you, Chrome Hearts so talented, Van Morrison blew the roof off and such a pleasure to listen to Cat Stevens/Yusuf. Must give a nod to Amble folk band, superb.

A lot of staff on hand who were super helpful, lots of eateries and areas to sit. Excellent toilet and hand washing facilities.

An incredible experience

Honestly an incredible experience! Had accessible tickets for Olivia Rodrigo had no idea what to expect as it was my first time attending and omg the view was perfect and I felt comfortable because I was away from the crowd so didn’t feel stressed! Will be returning!

Avoid! Misleading Upgrade & Appalling Customer Service

My sister and I bought GA tickets for BST Hyde Park (29 June 2025) and paid £69.90 via the official app to upgrade to the VIP Terrace, as promoted in an email. On arrival, staff refused to honour the upgrade, saying it was a "system error" and demanded an extra £180. We were told we were the only ones affected and there was "nothing they could do"—no access and no refund.

This is completely unacceptable. Under UK consumer law, services must be delivered as described. We paid in good faith via official channels and were denied what we purchased. To make things worse, it was 35°C, the GA area had no shade, and my sister became unwell. Staff were dismissive and even smirked at our distress. BST should be ashamed of how this was handled.

Awful Experience

Staff at the great oak stage were rude and threatening to remove me and others from the venue at BST Sabrina Carpenter for no reason at all. One security staff (male) was constantly harassing us and looked very moody the whole time but couldn't give a single reason as to why he was harassing us or going to remove us. This was when Olivia Dean was performing way before Sabrina even started and ruined the vibe of the day completely. I was ultimate diamond and we paid nearly £450 for tickets. Unacceptable. Many other staff throughout the venue were also disgraceful. Will stick to concerts and proper festivals. Save your money no matter who is performing!!!!!!! Shout out to the Ultimate bar staff though, those guys were fantastic :)

Terrible view & money suckers

For £100+ you expect to be able to see the artists performing but all you get is a view of speakers covering the screen which displays abstract artwork and shots of the band rather than the performer.

In order to be a good view of the stage you need to arrive so early & then never leave your spot or drop hundreds of ££ to be in VIP.

Not a wristband event so once you’re in, you’re in which means spending ££ on water and food. My snacks (cereal bars) were confiscated on arrival. No food or water (queues to refill took 45+ mins or drop £3 on a can of water) plus 30 degree heat (and no shade) for 6+ hours is terrible!

Sabrina was amazing. Stage was awful.

Went to see Sabrina Carpenter yesterday. Amazing show, she was just incredible.
But what made it a really bad experience is how they organise the stage.
WHY PUT SPEAKERS OR WHATEVER THAT WAS IN FRONT OF THE BIG SCREENS????
It was awful for the ones who had to rely on the big screens to see her as those things were ruining it all!!! SO disappointing!! And she wouldn’t appear in the middle screen at least!!!
Everyone around me was so annoyed and disappointed. It would have been the perfect night if it wasn’t for the speakers in front the right and left big screens :(

Security in the way

So my Mum very kindly bought me and my brother tickets to see Sabrina for Christmas, as we are both disabled we went in Ground Level access viewing area and I absolutely understand security have a job to do but there could have been different dynamics to how, the security guard for what I think was the gold circle was constantly getting in the way of Sabrina in fact half of my videos contain his head blocking the view, the guard for my area did say he was probably told to walk up and down to stop people jumping over which is fair enough but surely there must have been a different setup to do this and THEN.. two other guys who I assume were guards and quite tall come along and start being in the way not actually working but enjoying the gig and all the guards were taking videos of Sabrina so then that blocked the view too and after several attempts of my brother trying to tell them to shift a bit the main guard told them and they shifted a pathetic bit and were even more in the way, I ended up having a lovely time still on the verge of nearly having an autism meltdown as months of excitement to see my favourite artist and then have that frustration, thankfully Sabrina did also get on a crane so more people could see her and that wasnt affected by guards in the way, on a side note my brother did notice the main guard was often nearly missing people just walking through without noticing them.

Who put the speakers there?!?!

I brought 2 tickets for myself and my daughters first festival together. Firstly the queue for the burritos was ridiculous. You couldn't move past. It felt like a mosh pit. and I think dangerous especially as there are very young people at the venue.
The bag dimensions where not taken in consideration therfore I could've taken a bigger bag.
And lastly who in their right mind decided to put a strip of speakers over the projector screens? As they should be sacked! If you were on the left or right side of the great oak stage all we saw was olivia rodrigos hair and body as her face was hidden behind the speakers! What a terrible mistake! Surely I'm not the only person who thought this.
Hopefully these things can be corrected for next year.

Amazing Venue, amazing team and amazing concert

Second year I’ve attended and 100% is the best festival around.
Last year was Morgan Wallen and this year Zach Bryan.

Ticket prices are pretty good value for money.
I got the VIP hideaway which was priced at a usual concert ticket price.
You get lovely food, lots and lots of toilets so you’re never queuing.

Amex did an amazing job as usual with the setup.
The Amex staff are all super friendly and happy.
The free mug and bag are defiantly a very nice incentive for Amex customers and the cup is a life saver during the extreme temperatures.

The security are by far the best out there and that’s coming from someone who’s been to 1000’s of concerts. They are super happy, chilled and when things go wrong they are the first there rushing to save the day.

Merch was a little expensive but that’s just normal for concert merchandise.

Overall if you’re going to go, get gold circle standing as you will have the best experience there, close to the stage and perfect sound system.

Speaking of the stage, the stage is built around an oak tree and it’s an absolutely amazing sight(even if it is fake).

100% recommend and will be going back every single year.

Olivia Rodrigo was amazing but

Olivia Rodrigo was amazing, as well as girl in red, The Last Dinner Party and other supporting acts but there was no crowd control which was terrifying and no staff to ask for help. We were packed in so tightly I’m surprised no one got seriously injured.
