Don't do it!!

Don't do it!!
Paid for next day delivery and 2 days later still no delivery. Daughters Birthday on Friday so i'm up against time. Call customer services and its all American as the email confirmation they sent. On hold for over an hour with 0 people in front of me on a queue.

Same crappy song on bloody repeat doing my head in.

Build a Bear UK is obviously in financial difficulty and is diverting to the US.

Anyone in the same situation contact your bank and claim section 75 charge back.

Nobody picks up the phone, responds to email or gives a s@@@!

This company has gone to a hell in a handbasket in the last year's time, ever since they got their new CEO there. The reason for this complaint I am issuing here against BAB is because I placed a big order for my gal for Hearts Day a week ago and this company is trying to cheat me out of 3 rewards points after spending a numerous amount of coin to get this order created and then going out and buying an extra $25 gift card to help defray the costs and after three days of phony promises from their inept customer service staff and waiting on average of 50 minutes just to speak to someone, nothing has been done as I feel I have been lied to by this company after being loyal to these folks for 15 years time. It just seems they don't either give a damn, they purposely hang up on you after these long waits and this happened to me twice in one day, listening to really bad music while on hold and enough is enough!! Beware of this company as y'all would be better off shopping at Vermont Teddy Bear as I have never seen a company just get so bad with their services and the way they treat their loyal customers such as BAB has as of late. This company used to be outstanding but have since deteriorated to an all time low, hence why I am issuing a complaint with them on here and maybe they'll finally wake the hell up and get this issue I have resolved once and for all! Will keep you guys posted and the BBB will also hear from me about these shady practices being conducted by Build a Bear! This is shameful & disgraceful!! I just want my 3 rewards points promised to me so I can attain my $10 gift certificate! And on top of this, they're not even bothering answering their contact us form anymore and just making excuses of them being understaffed and such; well too bad as your company needs to get their crap together and start functioning as a business or you'll be losing tons of customers as changes really need to be made & considered at BAB, especially within their management sector!

UPDATE AS OF 8:55 PM CT...Well, they finally decided to place the 3 rewards points into my account to make it an even 100 points now as I await my $10 gift certificate for reaching this plateau next month.

NOW, with that being said, they tried to pull [yet] another fast one via an e-mail promotional thing they sent to me about completing a new order in my cart with free shipping, but when going into my cart to activate that promo, ohh, how interesting of them to note that the free shipping is only good...for stuff over $30.00 and it's truly amazing what this company has been doing and engaging in as of late. With all the hell they have put me through for three days time (by the way, it took 1:25:46 total, just to get a hold of an agent today and that is NOT a typo at my end), they should just give me the small black baseball hat I currently have in my shopping cart free of charge for this chaos they have caused me, but at least their CSR named Toni and her assistant took care of the rewards points factor for me, but this still needs to be made up to me for all the grief they have caused me and hoping they get this handled right and properly and doing the right thing to boot.

Will update you guys as to what the end verdict will turn out regarding all of this nonsense. They seriously need to make some key changes at the top echelon and that should start with their CEO and CS Manager.

UPDATE 2 at 4 PM CT on 1/21/2022...Just received my order and gee, what a surprise, it's incomplete as I ordered a condo for my gal's bear and it never came and now I'm going to have to wait another hour to get a hold of someone there while listening to horrible music as this company seriously needs to get their act together and fast or they're going to hear from the BBB and FTC for these BS fraudulent practices!!

UPDATE 3 on 1/31/2022 at 4:10 PM CT...After three attempts to get these fools to send my cub condo, it still hasn't been taken care of and this is one of many reasons why after this summer, I'm finished with BAB after being loyal to these people for 15 years time as I feel this company is going downhill ever so slowly as long as they have this inept leadership in tow. This company really needs to get their act together as they're claiming to celebrate their 25th anniversary but this company has been nothing short of a disaster for the past several years time. Just pitiful but no way in hell I'll let them rest until this order is fulfilled properly as i legally paid good tender for this item. Will keep everyone posted on this very soon and just waited for, get this now...1:32:15 just to speak to a customer service rep on this issue and yes, they need to fire both their CEO and Customer Service Manager at once or this company is going to go into a major freefall & fast. Just sheer incompetency on all levels at BAB from top to bottom is the best way I can describe this company right now. Just pitiful!

For a number of years i have bought a gift voucher for my granddaughter (who is interstate0 t build a bear in store.
This year AFTER PURCHASING I find it not redeemable in a store.
They have lost me forever

This is going to be long so bare with…

This is going to be long so bare with me. What was suppose to be a sweet morning remembering David was the complete opposite. As most of you know David and I lost our son Jayson when I was 27 weeks pregnant. Instead of burying him we decided to cremate him and put his ashes inside of a build a bear so he would always be with us. We celebrate Jaysons birthday every year by going to Build-A-Bear and getting him new clothes so when David passed away it was a no brainer on what I wanted to do.

On Friday we decided to go down to Build-A-Bear to get at least 15 build a bears made for David's ashes. I asked them if they could leave the bears open since we had to take them to get zippers placed so we can place Davids ashes inside. The manager who was in shift at the Arrowhead location was very rude and very disrespectful. When she came to talk to me she approached me with an attitude, I explained to her what I was doing and she instantly barked at me saying we can’t leave them open so I asked if she can close them but not make it too tight so we can open them again. She again tells me no and says per "our policy" we have to close them so they are ready to play. I told her these are not for play. She said again "per policy" so myself and about 5 other people looked on their website and none of us could find anything on their website stating or verifying this. I then ask her if we can just buy the bears and take them to get zippers placed on them and bring them back to get fluffed and she says no we can’t touch an altered bear. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Mind you this exact location has re fluffed Jayson who has a zipper on his back and there was no issue at all.

I called the corporate office and the lady (the only one working) who I spoke to must have already talk to the lady at the store. Once I explained to her what I was trying to do she responded with the most disrespectful tone and attitude per policy blah blah blah. I told her I don’t see anything in your policy that states you can’t leave them open or close them loosely. After being disrespected once again I said okay thank you and have a good day. My family seen how upset I was so someone else called them back and the same lady answered and they tried to get transferred to a supervisor. Once they asked for a supervisor they hung up on him instead of transferring him. Very rude!

There is about 18 of us standing outside of Build-A-Bear discussing what we are going to do we are not causing any kind of trouble. The manger at @Build-A-Bear at the Arrowhead location decided to call the mall cops on us forcing us to exit the mall when we were doing nothing at all. We are literally just trying to get some bears made so we have something we can hold when we just want to hug David. This is not my first time doing this we have done this two times now. One for Jayson and one for my cousin. I spend a lot of money at Build-A-Bear every year for Jaysons birthday. I am very disappointed with how they handled the situation when we are dealing with the loss of David. Myself and our family are blown away by the lack of compassion and disrespect we received from them. I WILL NEVER GO BACK OR SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS! #buildabear #buildabearworkshop

Scam site

I placed an order online, was told it shipped. Weeks later, it never arrived, so I checked the status of the order. It said no such order existed.

They had taken my money immediately, and never shipped my order, and only claimed that they did.

I tried to contact their customer support, their auto chat bot refused to connect me to anyone. I sent in many emails about it, none of them got answered.

I will have to chargeback through my bank. I never expected a company like buildabear to need to sweat and get their grubby hands on $65 from ONE customer, but I guess they must be failing very hard as a business to have to run such a big scam.

insanely disappointing :(

Placed my order on December 14th, I didn't expect it to be here by Christmas but it was a gift for my boyfriend. Originally was supposed to be here today, when I come to check on my order it now says it wont arrive until January 31st? USPS doesn't even have any tracking info but im just appalled at how late its supposed to come insanely disappointing

Appalling Service!

Appalling Service!
Order placed on 13th December and apparently dispatched the same day but now the 23rd December and no sign of my order..
Several phone calls to the Customer Service number only to hear a recorded message saying they are closed and try again tomorrow, same thing everyday!
I sent 4 queries via their contact form and have had no response, sent 2 emails that both came back as undelivered.
They are unreachable and leaving customers not knowing what has happened to their orders...
Next step for me is take a case up with Paypal to get a refund!

Previously had no issue with this firm…

Previously had no issue with this firm so felt confident ordering from them.
Ordered a Harry Potter teddy,paid extra for quicker delivery on a specified date
Received dispatch email but no sign of teddy,went onto dpd website and number not accepted.
Have sent emails to company but no response,looks like I will have a very disappointed grandchild on Christmas day.
Will not be using this company again.

I ordered a build a bear on the 15 th November it still hasn’t arrived and it’s now the 16 th December I emailed them six times before finnaly getting a response to wich they said they tried to deliver they most certianly hadn’t and now I’m still waiting won’t order online again such a bad service

I brought a online Cheshire Cat from the store.

I brought a online Cheshire Cat from Alice in wonderland it was unlimited edition.
So I had to keep looking like nearly every week to get on and now I finally got one, it is reasonable price because normally they’re quite expensive and excellent customer service overall very happy

Thank you Build-a-Bear for fun memories and Great Service.

I remember loving build-a-bear dearly ever since I was young. The place was filled with interaction and softness and laughter and joy. I recently went back to get a gift card for my sister and I was so blessed to see that the goodness has remained not just apart of their store but also with their store. Thanks a bunch to Cassidy who helped me with a smile and selfless service to receive the best card I could get. Thanks again. Build-a-Bear for the lovely memories!!! <3<3<3

Sold second hand goods

Purchased 2 display stands from Sheffield store. On arriving home we realised that these were not bear stands, they were ex store display stands in poor condition with paint worn off the bottom.
Cannot return to store as we live miles away so i have now emailed them 5 times with zero response.
Absolutely appalling.
Surely this is illegal as we were charged the regular fee of £4 each for a new bear stand.

Two orders going on 2 weeks. Have not shipped and will not provide information when they will. Shipping delays are understandable, however they refuse to communicate and provide a timeline when they plan to.

Ordered 150 bucks worth 2 weeks ago

Ordered 150 bucks worth 2 weeks ago. Still not shipped no tracking number says order will be arriving within the next 3 days. Yet it has not shipped. Tried using the computer help section all it did was ask for order number and then tell me it can't find my order even though it shows under my acct. Calling is a nightmare had to call about my last order too and waited 45 minutes. The site messes up Constantly really frustrating when your kids love them and this is what we have to deal with.
Tried placing another order and after spending an hour doing birth certificates dressing them etc the site won't let me continue to pay.. Beyond angry
