Don’t expect too much. Some of the staff are woeful with their knowledge and even basic customer service. To be honest I couldn’t wait to leave. Some of the prices are good but compared to my visit t... See more

MITRE10 FAR SUPERIOR…
Prices astronomical compared to Mitre10, which is of course the better shop.
Poinsettia at mitre10, $8 per plant. Admittedly slightly smaller than the Bunnings ones at $30. Unbelievable.
Also the quality of the plants at Bunnings is terrible. I bought 6 x Viscaria pots. Got them home and had a job getting them out of the pots. The soil had solidified and was dry as.
I am never shopping st Bunnings again. Why would you anyway, there's never any staff to help you and most of the ones there don't know much anyway. Awful shop

HUGE pice increases across every single item over the past few months. No such thing as reasonable prices at bunnings anymore!!
Poor knowledge and service
Faulty mower leaking oil and only 2 months old. I would hold Management accountable for the staff’s lack of understanding regarding warranties and which of their departments does what.
Was referred from returns counter to the special order counter to be told that the returns counter should look after our problem so back we went to the first contact. We were told they could order a seal set but we would have to pay for it first. After explaining it was under warranty and we would not pay for this part. They then said they would replace the mower. The girl then spoke to a senior who said the mower would have to be sent for repair but couldn’t indicate when we would get the mower back and a replacement mower was not an option. Due to high lawn growth at this time of the year this was not a satisfactory solution and this was explained. Contact was again made with the same senior who came and spoke with us. After explaining our frustration the senior lady then agreed to replace the mower which is what the staff had previously said they would do. This was a perfect solution for us, however, the staff were left to look incompetent. Senior staff need to spend more time working with their team to identify training areas and having adequate training in place to benefit customers, Bunnings business and their staff. We received extremely poor service on the day and would not return to this store again, however, I left feeling sorry for the frontline staff as incompetence impacts confidence and I struggle to see how they can be happy working in such an environment.
Snappy Staff
Bunnings at Dural, Thornleigh and Carlingford
I am writing this review to comment on the abrupt, almost cranky way the staff deal with telephone inquiries, or at least, how they dealt with mine. At all three of these stores I was met with short and dismissive replies to my questions, borderline exasperation and a generally unhelpful and uncooperative attitude. Since this was common across all locations, I am wondering if Bunnings trains its staff to be unfriendly enough that people don’t bother them! My inquiry was a simple one about items on display and I had the requisite item numbers so it was really super easy for them. I could have done without the snappiness and sighing. There are many other places to buy everything that Bunnings sells and I don’t see why they wouldn’t try to keep potential customers happy.
Didn't trust online for special order…
Didn't trust online for special order so went into Silverdale and ordered after getting assurances it was in stock and in country. Product was $2600 self assembly and is fraught with many problems, such as dented posts, online assembly instructions are for a prior model, should have a right and left part but 2 rights were supplied, holes missing or don't line up. Took 4 full days with many modifications to fit.
Made the best of it but I am a chartered engineer.
special orders
special orders, beware of ordering pavers as the colour on the computer or leaflet is often not the colour you get, huge delays , like 3 months, would not bother next time and do not accept miscolours like I did.

great experience
today I went to buy vege plants, they had everything on my list and assisted me helpfully when I asked questions.
After looking around my fave store I went to the cafe with my cousin and ordered coffee and a feta and spinach roll .Both were delicious and very good value.
Perhaps the only thing better was the superb service of cafe staff and esp a big shout out to Steph with her wonderful west coaster
friendliness. Lovely cafe visit . Will be back when Bunnings Shirley calls to me again.
ZERO stars.
ZERO stars.
Unbelievably shocking service. Am still waiting on a delivery purchased on the 16/10/22 with zero communication from you. Have emailed numerous times and call hold time is ridiculous. I want to begin proceedings for a refund but cannot even get hold of anyone to talk to. Incredibly disappointed.

I ordered 1 lawn mower online on the 27th of September. I have made 3 separate phone call's to find out where it is. 2 to 5 day's delivery. No such thing. I have been told several different thing's. Finally they got back to me only to find out they will deliver tomorrow. I wouldn't recommend or use bunnings online ever again. Useless
Website not up to date of Bunnings Silverdale
I have a complaint about the website of Bunnings Silverdale that is not up to date. I live in Snells Beach and wanted to make sure Bunnings Silverdale had Bogenvillia plants before I take the 40km trip there. According to the website there were stock in this branch. So I took the trip there on 14 September 2022. To my disappointment I was informed that there was no stock. This trip was therefore costly and I did not get the product I was after. No one is going to refund my cost or valuable time it took me to get to this branch. Get your website up to date! Unhappy customer
i have been a trade customer for more…
i have been a trade customer for more than 25 years,
( NZ & Australia),in the last couple of years i started noticing the degradation in the services that this company is providing.
1- pricing is becoming out of this world!!!!!
( Greed Driven)
other NZ suppliers are surly cheaper,.
2- floor staff are becoming less & less by the day!.
and customers are having to waste a lot of time looking for what they need with out having the staff to help them,(Greed driven).
3- your phone help line is becoming a jock! having to spend 20 or so minutes just to get hold of a real person!, while having to listen to your automated system jargon.
4- pushing people to use your web site is cheapest method to get customers to do the work of finding the items that they need, instead of employing real staff
to help in real time.
i have already started using other suppliers, and for the sake getting a good service ,i have been avoiding to inter your stores.
keep this bad service going,Because of your greed & arrogance & i hope that your company will go down.

Mitre10 from now on…
I visited the Shirley store today. If you need timber cutting, give this store a wide berth. Material I needed was out of stock in my local store and the saw was out of use at the airport store. Shirley was my only option. Apparently these guys can’t safely or accurately cut timber beyond getting it to fit in your vehicle. I’ve worked in the construction industry for 35 years and that’s one of the most ridiculous things I’ve heard. Their inflexibility has put my project back until one of the ‘reasonable’ stores get the product in stock.
Funnily enough, you can’t review this store on Google - seeing the ratings here, the rating currently showing on Google is misleading.
Grey Lynn store. Look for a helpful assistant not any assistant.
Grey Lynn store, looking for 3 meters length of hosing so went to the hose isle where I found an employee doing a stock take. I asked her if there were hose reels I could buy 3 meters of and she pointed at garden hoses. I said I didn't want a garden hose. No help whatsoever. I told her I just wanted 3 meters of hose. I looked around for another employee her name was Meena. She took me to another section of the store a fair distance away from where I was originally looking. She went out of her way to help but the first woman Island woman was not helpful at all. I was at the shop and it didn't look too busy so I was quite put off by her attitude. Like how dare you ask me these questions!!! I mentioned my encounter to the check out girl and she said she would take a note of it.
Bunning does not care about customer feedbacks
what is point of asking so-called expert advice and got the wrong/inappropriate or insufficient advice? There are so many negative feedback but does Bunning even care?
I haven't seen Bunning respond customers' feedback and also I was wondering what is the point of this webpage?
Be careful “Beat by 10%” at Bunnings warehouse
Bad experience at Bunnings warehouse when buying a Makita Tools.. Being a customer with them for many many years but they are cheating on beating their competitor prices by 10% . The staff recognised their price is more expensive than Total Tool, she requested to come back the next day to solve it out and then straight after that Bunnings system has updated the price down to $1 cheaper. We found out this at another Bunnings after only 30 minutes as we got a feeling that they will do it. The pricing label is still unchanged as they do not have enough time to update it. The staff did not accept “beat by 10 off”, even the manager did the same. It is a very bad behaviour. If we came back to the previous store, we would never get the discount as she already got what she wanted. She won. What a shame! They promise “beat by 10% but they did not keep their promise. They can do that to another customers but can not treat like that with the one gave them the pricing information. Their brand is no more in our mind. They lose us forever. If I can give them less than 1 star, I wish to do that. It is not worth to behave like that. It is not worth it!
Ordered online for next day pickup
Ordered online for next day pickup. They put a hold on my card for the product.then told me i had no order an to go to the bank. Who then told me i had to wait til the funds were released. Then they sent me an email asking me to write a review for the product i had ordered which they told me i hadnt. Cost me so much time on the phone in the shop and at the bank. I went to mitre10 instead.
Bunnings Botney Trade Desk
I live on Great BarrierIisland and use Bunnings Botney for my building supplies. Geroge and Andrew at the trade desk have been my contacts and they are always helpful and patient in working with me.
Trying to buy some peg board at…
Trying to buy some peg board at Bunnings. Clearance product… none at Manukau but Botany has 29…. Drive to Botany. No one can find it…. Two staff ladies, helpful but not rude. One Guy at the trade counter, complete A-hole says bluntly, it was there but just because our stock system has 29 does not mean we have any ( This Older Pakeha Man) says we should have rung to confirm they have it before we came. Star of the show was the young competent guy with “ No Pain, No Gain” written on the back of his vest. Found the stuff out the back of the warehouse and says none of the other people listened to him when he said he had found it. Then there’s an idiot at the front door wanting to check my receipt when I purchased it in her line of site and I’m carrying 3x 2meter long metal peg boards when there are no carts around. Bunnings - You should make “No pain No gain the manager, in fact make that rude disgrace at the trade counter his underling so he learns to use his feet and be polite to customers.
