Very pleasant staff good service would recommend

Extremely disappointing experience with Anne Heelan at Bupa Dental Care, Bank, London.

I attended a routine check-up with no tooth pain whatsoever. I was advised that I needed a filling, which I understood to be straightforward. Since that filling was placed approximately a month ago, I have experienced pain from the very beginning, and it has now become severe.

I tried to arrange a follow-up, but the dentist was on holiday, and I subsequently went away myself. I also reported the pain to the hygienist during my appointment.

On returning, I was told that the filling was close to the nerve and that I now need root-canal treatment. When I questioned this, Anne Heelan told me the nerve had not been visible on the X-ray. This explanation left me confused and deeply dissatisfied. I do not recall being warned before the filling that it was close to the nerve or that root-canal treatment might become necessary.

I understand that complications can happen, but I expected clear communication about the risks. Instead, I went from a painless routine check-up to a month of pain and the prospect of considerably more invasive treatment. My confidence in the care I received has been seriously damaged.

Now, on top of the pain, I am facing further treatment costs and the additional headache of trying to establish what happened and why these risks were not explained to me at the beginning. Having to spend more money, time and energy seeking answers has made an already upsetting experience even more stressful. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed.

I would like to praise Bupa Dental Care in Bristol.
Ever since I was little back in the 1960s I have had bad experiences with Dentists and because of that I didn't go to one for a very long time.
When a tooth chipped recently I decided to give Bupa a try and can honestly say that the experience I have had with Them has been First Class and worth every penny.
From start to finish They have been extremely Caring,Professional and Patient with Me.
I now have nice clean teeth all in good condition thanks to Them and cannot Praise and Recommend enough.

All staff were Friendly and helpful,
Surgery is clean and presentable,
They are Always happy to explain and offer advice,
I was Very happy with how everything went and
I felt that every person was professional and knew what they were doing.

I recently visited Laman Maharramova at Bupa Dental Care in West Bridgford, Nottingham and received exceptional service. She is thorough, professional, and maintains a polite and welcoming demeanor. Ms. Maharramova accurately identified my dental issue and provided practical advice that successfully resolved it. I highly recommend her practice.

I’ve a lot of experiences of Dentist practices and this one has always provided me with 10/10 service, for myself and my children, now adults who continue to stick with a practice that offers excellent care and service.

Can't fault my treatment, but what has happened to the friendly, welcoming place that this practice used to be? Its now far too 'transactional' and either the staff are truly miserable, or they have forgotten how to smile....

As a 76 year old and quite nervous regarding dentistry, I found every member of staff to be kind, courteous and helpful.
The treatment I am receiving is improving my self esteem and confidence. Thankyou
