Trust the low rating

Trust the 1.8 stars (at the time of writing) Burberry should absolutely not be in the same category as the rest of the luxury brands out there. Probably why their stores including my local one, are shutting down. I placed an order online with PayPal, they cancelled it and when I reached out said I needed to verify my info and that I’m the owner of my PayPal account? and when reviewed by the appropriate team would have a replacement sent out. After a week I contacted again and was told I was cleared to place the order and have to do it myself. I did and it was delayed because “of low stock and having to come from a different warehouse”.. shocker so I purchased another item as I wanted to make sure I had a gift for my boyfriends birthday.. that too was cancelled. I contacted had to provide the same info and was assured I would have no issues moving forward and that they would refund my shipping from the first item because of the inconvenience.. the shipping was already free. So I was pissed and didn’t order the second item. The first one came it was too large I sent it back and ordered a size down. Bet you can already guess, it was CANCELLED. Now if I want it I will have to call or whatsapp again, verify the same information, wait 5 days to a week and place it again. This will be my last purchase from Burberry ever and that’s because my boyfriend really wants these damn pants. They are the worst and their reviews and store closing reflect that.

Late and empty box

My order was a Christmas gift and was suppose to be delivered December 23th, after waiting on the order to be delivered to my home, it says that I was not able to receive the order so they will try another day, then it got 28 of December when going out I see the package outside of my door in my flat, so they didn’t even ring on the door just left it outside for anyone to take it. Worst of all, the package was empty, the Burberry box and all papers was left but the shirt is missing. I realized that the package is very easy to open and not sealed at all, you could easily just open it and take the item out and close it without leaving any marks or damage it at all. I have contacted Burberry but haven’t got any answers yet, it have gone two days. Have someone been through something similar? If so please let me know what you did and how it got solved, or if you got any ideas!

Honestly the worst experience ive ever…

Honestly the worst experience ive ever had shopping online. Not only did their customer service keep on postponing my item rendering me unable to gift it on Christmas, later tells me that the customer support did a mistake and there is no chance to reship it, this was even after me calling them multiple times. Would never shop again

Ordered a jacket for my son as a Christmas present when ordering it said next day delivery still waiting for a reply from customer services and this is after 3 phone calls, 2 messagings and a week later still no reply as to where and when my item will be delivered time to cancel the order avoid buying anything from this company

The most woeful customer service......from a leading brand?!

My wife bought our son a 250 wallet for a birthday & christmas gift - our first (and last) purchase from Burberry.

9 days after purchase it hadn't arrived. When she chased it up we were informed "Burberry do not post to P O Box's". We are not a PO Box, but a PO postcode. We were further informed that the wallet was being returned by the carrier to their shipping centre and once checked out, we will get a refund, which takes 5 - 7 working days. What a crock!!!!

Firstly, the error was with their carrier. We are not va P O Box, but a PO postcode (for Portsmouth!) The error was the carriers because we paid on Paypal, so they get the shipping address automatically.

To then make us wait, when we had never received a product!!! and then wait until they get it back, before issuing a refund. That is absurd and woeful 'service'.

Seth, the lad in 'Customer Service' at Burberry wasn't allowed an opinion, so he could not comment on the level of service. His managers were all busy - I was not surprised at that!

They wouldn't even send a replacement wallet unless we paid again, another £250, and waited for the credit to appear weeks later. You couldn't make this up!

Burberry, you are the holy mire of Customer Service. Useless. Read all your shocking reviews and see why!!

No wonder the company is in trouble and is in the middle of a 'turn around'. It needs one.

Extremely disappointed

Extremely disappointed, I bought a gift and when it arrived it came in a paper bag loose inside... who would have thought for a luxury item a box for the item would be classed as an ‘extra’! All that money and the packaging is as if you had bought it from a high street shop! When contacting them, they said they could not send packaging out as it is the festive season and are too busy! So here I have a gift for someone and going to be giving it them in a paper bag... so much for luxury. Apparently it is to do with being more environmentally friendly, cutting back on a cardboard box on a luxury item, really? So disappointed...

I stood in line to enter the Burberry…

I stood in line to enter the Burberry store in Yorkdale Mall after previously shopping at Channel and Nordstrom. I was wearing a clear mask facial mask that covered my mouth and nose , when it was time to enter the store , the sales associate said that I was not able to enter the store as I was not wearing a mask and it was Burberry's policy that a particular mask had to be worn. I then directed her to the sign on the door that clearly stated that a 'facial covering' had to be worn but did not stipulate anything else. I asked to see the Burberry policy that she was referencing and then said she would go to find it, she then proceeded to leave me outside the door and lock the door. After about 5 minutes she returned with Angela the store manager who said that I was not allowed in the store with my mask. In the interim various people entered the store with many different types of mask and they were all allowed entry, at this moment i realized that i was the only person of colour that was refused entry 'because of my mask' 
I questioned Angela about the notice on the door that did not make any reference to the exclusion of my mask , she said that she didn't care what the notice on the door said, and began to reference the Ontario Covid website. This did not make any sense as previously she mentioned that it was Burberry's policy and now switched to the Ontario website. 
I have shopped at Channel, Gucci, Nordstrom using the same mask and never encountered an incident such as this. I was made to feel inadequate and not to mention embarrassed and bullied by two members of staff from a store that should have a premium level of customer service . Angela was rude, patronizing and unprofessional.

Really awful customer service

Really awful customer service. You expect a lot from a luxury brand and unfortunately you get VERY little. I’d rather shop ANYWHERE else than get the insane ATTITUDE I received with the horrible customer service team over at Burberry. Furthermore, the designs are cheap and ugly. Thankfully Gucci is WAY hotter, trendier, more stylish, and they have accommodating and competent customer service representatives.

Awful Experience

Awful Experience

Bought a gift online from Burberry Official Site. Received awfully big size, I check the description was classic fit but got oversized version.

Korea Customer Service had very quick response for solution.

But on WhatsApp the customer service only says apologise and ask me to place another order with difference size, and I should contact the logistic by myself. Nonsense.!!!!

How disappointing!!!! Both Burberry Products and Customer Service.
You pay high price for nothing!!!

MELINA in Customer Service

I recently contacted MELINA in the Customer Service Department.
I was enquiring about the size and price of a Chelsea Heritage Trenchcoat with matching scarf.
Melina was polite, friendly, helpful and professional and showed me excellent customer service.

Worst experience of my entire 15 year shopping history

Appalling service, I ordered a shirt from the online store for my anniversary and the product never arrived. After emailing customer service to chase up the missing order all I received was an automated email stating that they would chase up the item's location. After 4 weeks of waiting, the shirt still hadn't shown up, and all the customer support informed me was "this item is no longer available, would you like a refund?" This then took 2 weeks to come through. So after 4 weeks, I had no shirt, had essentially lost the money I spent and then had to wait 2 more weeks for a refund.

You pay a high price and expect a…

You pay a high price and expect a service that's correspondingly high. In store you're treated like a VIP with a personal sales representative on hand to help. The shopping experience is first class and amongst the best I've ever had. They messed up once when an item didn't arrive on time and I was subsequently charged twice when I collected in store. A case manager was assigned as my point of contact and the refund was all sorted in a few days with a complimentary gift for my inconvenience. Wallet permitting, I'll keep using.

Waste of time and money

Toxic company.
Don’t even bother purchasing from this brand!!!
Product was supposed to be a gift but it came damaged and wrecked, and when I tried to email customer services they gave me no options.
Don’t understand how this company still operates with its shocking customer services and crap product quality

Not acceptable customer service!!!

I order boots and received it after a month!!! The shoe box is damaged and it was taped only on bottom corners. Inside of the box is a messed. The boots leather is wrinkled. Looks like a returned item. I was very disappointed. I contacted customer service twice. I waited for 15 minutes and still did not get the chance to speak with a customer service agent. It’s was horrible. I returned the item and until now I’m still waiting for it to be processed. This kind of service is not acceptable!!! Especially for a very pricey item!

Missing item/stolen item

I received a package with missing item in it. The box was not sealed properly and someone easily opened it and took the product. Tampering was not even that visible, only upon closer investigation I realized the box was opened. Customer service is useless... It’s been over 1 month and I still have no clue what is going on and if I will get my money back. I will report it to the local police because what else I can do, I regret I was waiting so long, but I was hoping Burberry will find quick solution. I received another product from Burberry but ordered on Farfetch and the box was securely sealed with brand tape. Do any of you had a similar incident? What do you suggest for me to do?

Worst delivery service possible

Worst delivery service possible. Ordered an item on July9 and was told delivery date will be July 16th. Still have not received my item which is a gift for the 29th of this month. When you call customer service they apologize that delivery date given is not always accurate and because it is shipping from the UK items have a longer shipping and harder time getting here. I have ordered from other high end places and never have I ever went through such a headache before. When I ask to cancel product they say that is not possible because it was already charged for and they cannot reverse that. Which again is something I never have heard of before! Save yourself the headache and do not order from Burberry!

shipping appalling

shipping was awful for me. It took almost 1 week for them to actually ship the product and yes it is understandable that there is a global pandemic however companies like Zara, ASOS, Louis Vuitton and uniqlo have amazing quick delivery without any hassle. As a valued customer of Burberry I am shocked that I’m having to wait this long for an item when a lower fast fashion brand can deliver their merchandise in 2 days.

when you buy and never get your stuff just a empty box

i love Burberry clothing the only think i don't like is when you buy online they ship your stuff and you don't get it. then you call customer service and let them know they don't do nothing about it not even try to send you the same item or a refund bad customer service they still keep my money so be car full when you buy online you item might end up missing

I have ordered several Burberry items…

I have ordered several Burberry items in the past on their webshop. Never had any issues, shipping is OK, items well packaged and returns are processed fast. Impeccable customer service, not only online but also in their stores. Very friendly and always helpful, even helped my husband once with a problem which was not related to them when we visited one of their stores.
Cannot complain, one of the few luxury brands that still stands for quality and perfect customer service.
