I purchased Stoptech rotors at Buybrakes “specialist” prompting. I was planning on going with another brand. I even opted to get the cryo treated “warp proof” slotted rotor set up all the way around. Within a year the black ecoating on the rotors was rusted and the fins as well. The coating was supposed to last however many thousands of hours. I reached out to stoptech and buybrakes and they informed me that it was cosmetic and not an issue. 6 months later the steering wheel started to shimmy when braking from highway speeds. I reached out to stoptech and buybrakes again. Buybrakes said it was Stoptech’s responsibility. Stoptech says it’s buybrakes responsibility. Neither company stands behind the product. Now the truck shakes solidly whenever slowing down from speeds above 45. I have 4 junk rotors that I am not 100% convinced were actually cryo treated and am back to square 1. Stoptech doesn’t stand behind their products and neither does Buybrakes. They are very helpful when buying, but once the purchase is complete, they stop helping. Don’t buy Stoptech rotors. Huge waste of money. And maybe think about going with a company that has a bit more loyalty to their customer when purchasing.

Horrible customer service. They have had my money for 3 months with no brakes. They will not answer the phone or my emails. At this point they pretty much stole my money. I’ve never ever tried to buy anything online from a company this unresponsive. Stay away !

Ordered front and rear sets of EBC Yellow stuff brake pads and rotors. Was not informed that they did NOT come with the installation kit like the last set of EBC pads and rotors I purchased elsewhere. I bought them from BuyBrakes because they were less money than other competitor sites but then had to unexpectedly spend more money at the mechanic's for the installation kit.

I’ve been really disappointed with customer service lately but thanks to Randy over at buybrakes.com I see hope again.
This gentleman was on top of his game and worked quickly, professionally, and guided me through the whole process for my purchase. Thanks Randy, we need more like you out here.

Worst online order experience I've ever had. Do not buy from this company! Ordered a set of big brakes, and after waiting 3 months was told that they had made an error placing the order with StopTech. Waited another 2 months for the set. Incompetent staff - once they have your money they don't give a #$@!.

I know there are mixed reviews about this company online and let me tell you they had a problem with my order and the owner of this company went out of his way to contact me personally and even though I might have spent a few dollars extra that I didn't want to I feel good about spending the extra $$$and feel good about leaving this review I suggest if you order from them to call to make sure you're getting what you're looking for besides that this is an outstanding company and I will buy from them again in the future when I'm looking for replacement EBC brakes more companies should follow the line that John has drawn in the sand for customer service They are 5 out of 5 stars for following up and I'd only following up but going above and beyond what is even reasonable to make sure that I was happy happy enough to voluntarily leave this. I want to say thank you for the way I was treated in the way I feel about the business I did there

They send me Akebono brake pads for my Toyota with hardware (abutment clips) that does not fit into the caliper (no matter how clean is)
In addition, the Akebon pads's shims were loose and one shim start to drag onto the wheel hub

I tried buybrakes.com for the first time. I figured a company dedicated to brakes would have a good system in place. The site looked good and prices seemed good, shipping looked longer than competitors. In the end I cancelled my order. I got an order confirmation, then a week went by and I didnt recieve my order or a tracking number. I replied to the confirmation email, then sent an email to customer service, then tried their online message form and never heard back from any. I then called and was told my order is processing so still had not shipped, and the estimated arrival was for the following day. So they couldn't have emailed to alert me that my order would not make it by the estimated time? I wasted over a week waiting just to cancel and have to find the brakes somewhere else. Would not recommend. id give 0 stars if i could but have to give 1 star to leave a review.

I just had the same experience as many of the other customers, and I understand that supply and logistics are stretched right now, but the communication from this company is truly horrible. Ordered rotors and pads, both supposedly "in stock". Pads shipped in about a week, no sign of the rotors. Called them up, on hold, got disconnected, called back, rotors are out of stock. I am waiting for refund now, I expect I will have a while to wait. They need to do a better job of fulfilling the orders that they say they have in stock (and take payment for) and of communicating with their customers.

Their website showed brake pads were in stock for my vehicle, so I ordered. I had to email them to get an order confirmation email. When I replied to one of their Spam emails that I needed the parts (and not spam) I was send the following reply:

This order was placed on 30 June, they charged my card on 1 July. It's now 21 July and still no tracking number or explanation as to what is going on with my order. They're good at taking the money, but not at delivering the product. I emailed on 19 July to please cancel the order and refund me. Still no reply, but I'm still getting Spammed almost daily. I'm sure they have plenty of excuses after reading previous negative reviews. And the one guy they made fun of for English as his second language. Says a lot about the owner. Wow! I'm sure it's everyone else fault but theirs for advertising in stock then not shipping for 21 days.

I would rather pay more and order from Amazon or another trusted source than deal with people like this. If they would at least have update me I would have no problem waiting longer. As a disabled veteran myself I try to support veteran owned businesses at every opportunity, but not this business.

Finally called and made sure it was canceled. No idea when or if I'll be refunded. Placed an order from Amazon, says 2 days to my door. If you do not physically have them, they are not “in stock”.

Buyer Beware. They sent 3 out of 4 rotors and only front brake pads even though the website labeled the items IN STOCK. I received an RMA #, company confirmed the return but NEVER refunded my money. Without a refund, I can't purchase the new rotors that are desperately needed.

I am 5 days past the estimated shipping window and I have reached out with no response from the customer support at buybrakes.com yet.

Still have not received an update at all. Looking to get my charges reversed if possible as I'm paying for these brakes without having them in my hands. FFS I will be making the second payment on them soon. Sounds like a scam to me.

Editing to a 4 star review because a rep helped me today the best they could. A better experience is to be notified of delays automatically. That is deserving of 5 stars.

I have been waiting over a month for a tracking number and still never received one even after contacting them and them telling me I'll get a tracking number in a day or two. Still nothing. I sent request for my money back. If I don't get it I'm going to get help from BBB...

...and if you reply to me here, I don't wanna hear the crap excuses you have given to others such as "Industry wide, there are parts shortages worldwide" because that's untrue and false. You push more excuses at unhappy customers than you sell and ship brakes within a reasonable amount of time. This is a crap company that can not even be honest about thier own faults. Instead of trying to correct the issues you rather blame it on fake reasons and continue to give poor service. So with that let it be known I've bought the same exact items from another place and they were delivered in one week.

Oh and by the way to any people reading the comments, 99% of the 5 star comments using employee names of employees at BuyBrakes are fake! BuyBrakes paid money to have a sleezy company post and generate fake ratings and comments to give themselves higher ratings. That's just one more reason to never trust them.

I purchased brakes for my car after they confirmed the size and configuration. Tech support was very good. Unfortunately, the manufacturer they sell, Centric, was not at all helpful when they sent a kit with incorrect parts. Instead of resolving, they denied they were wrong. Had to return the whole order and buy the parts locally. Credit just posted 3 weeks later.
Changed score to 3 stars as BuyBrakes isn't nearly as much at fault as Centric, although still believe they could have resolved with Centric.

Unbelievably great customer service ! I needed a set of brake pads quickly before a race and they actually arrived in one day ! Adam is A+ to deal with !

I needed a specific part for a brake kit and I needed it the next day, I had called numerous other suppliers and it wasn't until I got ahold of Adam at buybrakes.com. he was able to verify the part number, find the par I needed and even went as far to accommodate my poor phone signal and communicate with me via text message. This was one of the best experiences buying parts I have ever had and will always be returning to buybrakes.com. Thanks again for making this happen for me!

Price matched a set of Wilwood big brakes. They were actuate when they said they would ship in about a month. Only issue is the tracking information was sent after the brakes surprisingly already were sitting on my porch. Good deal either way!

I ordered a brakes to my car after 2 week I did not any info about the shipping I keep send emails but no answer when I called I find out they don’t ship my order and ask me to wait longer because they don’t get information from the manufacture
Very bed cushy service very bad communication vet bad business

Ordered a pair of rotors and pads a week later no tracking so I emailed. Well turned out they don’t stock the parts had to get it from the manufacturer. Ok well couple weeks later I emailed and buy brakes told me should be shipped to us next Friday oh ok , come and gone Friday went and no info still! Emailed again to buy brakes and was told they discontinued those rotors and would I like a refund ? Well I emailed and asked why I wasn’t told this earlier and you wasted over a month of my time waiting. So along with other questions I said refund my money which they did and no answers to any other questions I had. Customer service is good, but when it comes to a problem like any other business they don’t want to handle it and simply ignore the customer and let it go! That is what is messed up. So no longer ship there...

I want to give 4 stars. The help I got in making the order and picking brakes was phenomenal but I’ve only had the brakes in since fall of last year and got all new pads and rotors for all four wheels in the same few months. The rotors and pads are all EBC. I loved the stopping power of the brakes. The rotors look so clean! But now the brakes are squealing after putting over 1,000 miles on them. Not sure what to do! Help?
