Is it usual that the bus driver on 620…

Is it normal that the bus driver on 620 from Dreilîden to Wannsee yells at you and asks you to show your ticket? Is he the one supposed to check that? I thought there were actually people in charge of that. In any case the bus driver stopped the bus for like 2/3 min alleging waiting for me as I had not shown my ticket (which I had no idea I was supposed to me doing) then yelled at me in front of the whole bus to show my ticket which I did. He then said: you just bought your ticket(!) What else am I supposed to do other than just buy my ticket? I don’t have a monthly abo and always buy my ticket right away. Insane.

Been in Berlin for more than 5 years

Been in Berlin for more than 5 years, the bus never comes, the train counts down from 8 to 1 and then changes to 13, absolutely and most definitely the worst public transportation when it comes to timing, don’t ever count on it to come on time EVER

0 stars for BVG!!! / 0 Sterne für BVG!!!

BVG: delays, deviations, cancelations, and expensive tickets. (Even in Paris the cost of one ticket is about half!)
Needless to say that this is the worst possible combination.
I would give 0 stars, but unfortunately that's not possible.
Important note: my review isn't based on one "angry experience". I've lived in Berlin for many many years and cannot say anything positive about BVG.
In a nutshell: I can't recommend BVG! Take a bike, scooter, or an Uber. Even walking would probably be faster. Going by BVG is really my last resort.

My mom bought a Deutschland ticket but…

My mom bought a Deutschland ticket but was still fined for showing only the picture of the ticket but not going inside the app. This is entrapment, as she bought a ticket and never did anything illegal, but still got fined for 7 dollars. When I try to make sense with the person working at the office , and demanded talking to his manager , he was EXTREMELY RUDE as if we are criminals who did big crimes, and refused to give us access to manager. So basically he is charging us 7 dollars for not showing the inside of the Deutschland ticket app but instead showed him the bar code picture, but their RULEs don’t allow just the picture , Eventhough any other places in germany did recognize the photo. As my mom is just a tourist travelling solo , she didn’t know how to open the app where I booked for her. Later she learned that, but guess what, too late ! She showed the ID as well, but it is not enough to prove her to be the real person who bought the ticket, Eventhough the ticket does show the identical name. So based on what law do they charge us 7 dollars ? If someone working at government companies treat tourists this way , charging money randomly without any legal basis and being extremely rude , then they shouldn’t work there. They should just lose their jobs and tourists should NEVER come to this place , because you are going to have the worst experience in your life. And now, in order protect my right and not pay 7 dollars , I have to hire a lawyer, according to him. But we are just tourist s, why waste time on bad people ? It ruined our credit records for germany and ruined our whole trip , we had to stay over weekend longer to be able to pay this bill on Monday when they finally open, and are they paying for our loss ? No of course not. If we had time, would definitely take them to court, as they are probably doing this to all people who bought Deutschland ticket.

Bvg is absolutely broken company with "broken" managers. It's soo embarrassing for Europe and so-called developed countries. Germany is developed but not in this way. Public transportation is collapsing regular. Nothing is in time, trains 2 hours delays. It's happening since 20 years but Noone care. The worst public transportation system in the world.

WORST PUBLIC TRANSPORT IN THE WORLD!

If i could rate BVG minus stars I would.

I lived in berlin for 2 months and getting around via their transport services was nothing but the most stressful experience there.

Firstly, I signed up to a deutchland ticket which I was falsely told was a SINGLE BILL PAYMENT. After seeveral cancellation requests and them charging me €120 I still haven’t been able to stop the money going out my bank.

Not just this, the trains are full of crack heads and I was always on edge getting around.

Lastly, the ticket guards are absolute w**kers and make everyone’s life miserable

Incompetent company

Incompetent company. Something has to change in this world, that all these large companies burning enormous amount of money to feed a huge waterhead (managers) of incompetent people, while the company cannot provide it’s service. Always missing buses, always strike, always some problem. No flexibility, no brain, no will to provide a good quality service! This does apply not only to BVG, but all these extremely huge companies, where quality is not important.
In Berlin, in the Stralau peninsula, there is no bus. Not at all. More than 30 minutes and not a single bus shows up. On a Saturday, during the day. Of course BVG will answer with some marketing BS or some exception. But to do their job, well, that does not work.

My boyfriend and I visited Berlin for…

My boyfriend and I visited Berlin for the first time this summer. During this period we used the subway. We paid for every single trip but got fined because of 1 mistake of a ticket that wasn't stamped!!

The controllant told me to that it was an honest mistake and all I had to do was fill in a form on bvg webside explaining the situation and futhermore say that he also said it was a mistake and it should be annulled due to the fact that we had never been there before and didnt know any better.

I filled out the form with all the details as agreed. Never heard anything until 3 months later I receive a bill of 60 euro. Not only do I recieve the letter the 23th of October and I should have been paid latest 19th - but what kind of support and lack of service is this?

I am very saddened by this behavior and I will def. not visit Berlin any time soon again if this is the way they treat turists.

0 stars from here - and their "help robot" on their website is for absolutely 0 help. They don't even provide a contact email -

The Dangerous Drivers of BVG

Oef, I am still shaking of anger. I work as a bike tour guide and this day I was off with a group of students (14/15 years old). A BVG bus passed us on Unter der Linde and had to park to drop off passengers. I was right behind the bus. I decided to pass the bus of the left. I look back to see if everyone made it. I see the bus turn on their blinker and drive into these kids. They hit the bus and where forced to drive into the car traffic. Thank god they where exceptionally good cyclists. No one was hurt. This bus driver instead of apologizing insulted me and my guests. Drove off with a speed thats is definitely not 50 km/h and straight through a red light missing almost a few pedestrians.

Wow. I cant believe that happened. I wish I wasnt so angry so I remembered the number on the bus otherwise they guy would have been fired.

So my review is, stay away from these dangerous drivers. They have zero regard of the lives of children.

(Btw. This is not the first time)

Don’t forget your ticket

Don’t forget your ticket. There is no such thing as a warning. I was manhandled and pulled on and my purse was almost ripped off my neck. I had witnesses that proved he manhandled me. It was a Terrifying experience. Reminds me of Nazi Germany.
