Rising prices again and declining service quality... Now also the weekly ticket is gone in 2026. Great, when I have guests they will have to pay ungodly amounts for this terrible service. I'd be happ... See more

BVG: delays, deviations, cancelations, and expensive tickets. (Even in Paris the cost of one ticket is about half!) Needless to say that this is the worst possible combination. I would give 0 star... See more

Vistor from outside Berlin

Vistor from outside Berlin: within only 20 minutes on U6 train I experienced two ticket checks. So far so good, but have look at this: One poor guy had no ticket and tried to run away whilst two South European looking check personnel members followed and caught him. A scene felt similar to 2 world war in Berlin, where nazi-police “treated” someone according to their sick perception. The poor guy was beaten as if he did something really bad.

I travel a lot, but ugly scenes like that you can only find in Germany.

Expensive mistake

In Berlin for one day, Nobody to help at the station, I was in a rush, I bought my tube ticket thinking I was doing all right.
When I get out from the train, 2 controllers came to me, speaking in German.. They saw I was a foreigner, arrived in Berlin not even 1h ago. I showed my ticket, they told me I didn't buy the right ticket... I didn't know...
60€ penalty for 1€ difference... and because I live in UK, it has been £66,80 ... Welcome in Berlin

Poor information at the stations

Poor information at the stations, all for foreigners is on the one ticket machine you might be able to find. This means you are trying to find the info you need fast while a queue builds up. Get it wrong? 60 euro fine.

No autonomy for the people checking tickets for lenience (you have a short journey ticket, 3 stops for 1.70 instead of 2.70 for 2 hours and go 4 stops) and nobody at stations to help you out if you can't find your platform.

The trains are pretty frequent and have reasonable coverage, which is the best I can say for this network. All in all the metro here has caused me nothing but annoyance, and I have a few times walked the 5km instead of getting the metro.

Of the 7 subway systems I have been on worldwide this is by far the worst. I now fully appreciate ticket gates!!!

So dissappointed!!

Just happened. I' ve got to the tram stop on Gehrenseestraße. It stands on the plan that the tram should come at 46', i've got here like exact 43' and the woman driver saw me but she just kept driving. I keep wondering if the driver blind or because she doesnt have any that call human ability to open the tram door for 1 sec. I say 1 sec. Im not telling this to all the drivers but that woman driver is the worst one. Unacceptable!!
