Incredible support and service. The quality of the stream when using cactus is unbelievable. I highly recommend them.

I have used Cactus VPN for 6 years now without any problems.Recently I had a downloading problem and contacted Cactus for help. Their technical assistance was brilliant. Rapid replies to my questions. Continued help until the problem was completely resolved. Could not ask for a better back-up service than that which I got from Cactus. ' Very happy customer ' !!

I have used Cactus for a few years now , the product is very good , and keeps abreast of the changing arena of vpn,s . The customer service is excellent .

The only very bad problem you get it that ir slows down your internet speed to much.. and I.mean to much . Without it on I get a speed of 34 mps to 36 mps with it turned on it drops down to , wait for it , yes you are right less than half . It goes down to 13 mps . That's a dam big drop down to 13 mps when u get 36 without it .common cactis get working on it we know you are meant to lose some speed say 10 mps to leave 26 mps but no where near . I am off when its up and going to vanish its more in price but when its buffering there's no point in having it jf its only 13 mps not worth it .and that's why I gave you 2 stars

As the title says you cant go better than cactus for nailing the smartdns system, works on so many devices!
Also have to mention there on line chat and email support is outstanding.
Yes you have to pay, but if you need a reliable and contactable service like cactus then you have made a great choice.

i have used cactus VPN for years and have been mostly satisfied. they have good service and some very nice and user friendly software.
their servers are also superb when it comes to speed. only downside is the low amount of countries they have servers located at otherwise a great choise.

I have used a fair number of VPN and Smart DNS services over the years, with most being disappointing. CactusVPN is different and I happily give it five stars. Not only is the website clear and concise, but the support pages provide all that most people need to know about setting up VPN and Smart DNS on their iPhones or Android devices. Customer and Tech support is fast, knowable and efficient.

As far as speed is concerned, clearly with all VPNs there is a drop in speed, but this one seems to be faster than most. Smart DNS makes unblocking those difficult TV websites easy and reliable. So far, I am most impressed. Thank you!

UPDATE June 2018

Sadly, no longer supports BBC iPlayer with Smart DNS, which was my main reason for joining. The VPN service is too slow for streaming and causes too much buffering. There are better services available with greater consistency of service. Disappointed.

Let me first say that I am not well versed in this stuff so doing the best I can to set up an affordable VPN. I have a mac running 10.6.8. Supposedly the cactus software is compatible with this OS. But did not work on my machine. Their tech support is strictly via email. This is VERY frustrating that you can't actually talk to a live person on real time.

Their tech team was not even able to tell me how to get any info as to why there software was not working. So I have no choice but to log in manually which I accomplish by following their online tutorial.

This is fine until I find out the logging in manually there is no kill switch. That is if you are downloading a torrent, and it gets interrupted, the vpn will switch back to your regular connection and when the torrent continues you are now exposed. This feature is part of their software but no warning I would be losing this by connecting manually, which I have to because their software does not work on my machine.

SOOOOO then they tell me to solve the problem I should download something called Tumblebrick, which I do and I use their instructions to connect. However there is no indication of whether Tumblebrick has this kill switch kind of function (the reason they told me to download it). So when I asked Cactus how I set up Tumblebrick to insure I have this kill switch, they tell me they have no idea so I should contact them. Problem is this is a free software without any tech support.

So do you get the picture? This is one of most frustrating and ineffective tech support teams I have worked with anywhere. You NEVER get to talk to anyone, and you just get to read online tutorials. But in the end they will just lead you around in circles and not really solve your problems. 2 stars was being generous. PLEASE if someone finds a good affordable alternative please let me know.

goood vpn with killswitch, when your connecting dropped

Affordable, issues i've had have quickly been resolved via chat and if ever a network is down there are always 3 more i can connect to.

I would recommend them.
