auto rent .don't ever use this car hire firm , got ripped off for door lock .on car return .he did not look at any thing went straight for the door. thats why the car hire was cheap. Cost me 350 EUROS .

UK based contact number was useful when needing to enquire about collection and drop-off times in Iceland. Very happy overall.

Our car hire was with Auto Rent who we have used before. They are one of the best at Faro. The staff are friendly and helpful, the car is always fine and their prices are fair. They also use the 'full to full' fuel policy which is much better than some other companies use. I would definitely recommend them.

I have great experience hiring car through CarDelMar, and price was better than any other site.

The partner company in my case was Avis, at Lisbon airport. The service was great, albeit with an expected long queue. With other agencies I have booked through I have been hit with large additional unexpected costs, but not with CarDelMar (this hire I booked through CarRentals.com).
My only reservation was that I had asked for return with full fuel, but was charged a fuel surcharge. This was not an issue as the fuel charge was reasonable and I did sufficient miles to more than empty the tank. This would of course affect others that would not use all the fuel paid for.

The car was an upgrade, which was a really pleasant start. It was also a diesel which meant our fuel costs were significantly reduced. It was also brand new with only 850 kms on the clock.
The member of staff was really helpful and made our tour of Iceland excellent due to his advice on where to go.
The price of the vehicle was lower than most of the well know rental companies, but the service was just as good, if not better.
(we have driven rentals in many countries)
Pick up and drop off was easy with the least amount of fuss.
All together this was a great deal

Car Hire Companies in tourist resorts can be a real pain to deal with - even the best. CarDelMar take the hassle away, explain the insurances and save you a bit of money in the deal. It doesn't stop the hire company agents trying to sell you all kinds of extras but it gives you the confidence to politely refuse. I will use them for all my car hire requirements.

Everything was great except we were told the name of the local partner at Johannesburg airport was 'Keddy'. None of the car hire firms at the airport knew anything about this firm. We ended up having to phone you to be told our car was booked through 'Europcar'. Valuable time wasted as we then had to join the back of the queue.

Good value good service no problems

Collection was good but a bit of a hassle getting buses to and from depot.
Car was fine. Directions back to parking hire were not provided thus necessitating phone call.
The ski rack was useless and staff were reluctant to assist. It was so useless it could not be used or removed, it tiook great effort to release the skis. I am contacting Customer Services as it was not fit for purpose.

Could not fault anything. Lovely car at a reasonable price.

Had no problems , enjoyed a top of the range car.
Cheaper would be better !

Car Del Mar, as an agency, was able to source a hire car for around 20% less than other agencies or going direct to the car hire providers. The car hire firm used (Europcar) was able to provide a car suitable for 6 people plus bags.

Took 2 hours to get the car from the airport - badly mismanaged and understaffed car company
